Roy's Driver and Rider Education Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below.  I find it interesting that you leave out the complaints about your drivers car and the state of disrepair that it is in. You  you did not call me the following morning I called you as I got no response via email or phone. I am aware of the contract, and [redacted] your instructor at the class told [redacted] one thing and a completely different thing happened. The fact that You told me on last day of third week you didn't know why [redacted] hadn't called us then [redacted] said he didn't realize he had [redacted] on his list is not part of the reasoning on your contract for why driving may extend past class time. She completed the chapters and lessons, the instructor just didn't know she existed. Disorganization is not part of your contract.  I do not think that the Revdex.com is an enforcer I believe that they are a wonderful mediator that can allow consumer the opportunity to file a complaint and have it documented and followed through on. I do not believe that you followed through on what was advertised You did not offer a safe clean environment. [redacted] car is a disaster and should be brought to a reputable state inspection station for evaluation before any other student is allowed to set foot in it. Having a seat move while driving, needing to use two hand to move the sifter broken mirrors falling off exhaust alignment issues break grinding and bald tires are not safe. Again you did not mention that in your response and that was a BIG part of why I felt I did not get what was promised, I did not find any of this out until the last day on the last hour just before her getting out at the DMV as well as you having her wrong weight, not signing her completed form with [redacted]'s license # on it (good thing I caught it) and [redacted] did it.  Just so you know my son took drivers ed 4 years ago from you and we did not have any of these issues so I know your company is better then this. And those four student were not kicked out they were let back in at each class to disrupt again and again.  You put my daughter in danger and that is not a joke. That is not me trying to get something for nothing. That is serious. During the short time being in that car it was a nightmare. I took your company's word that your drivers are safe. but in this instance this car is not. I don't know if you have removed it from the road or made him get it fixed but if not you should.I know that with Maine inspection you can get garages to slap a sticker on a car. but let me tell you someone is going to get very hurt. I that grinding breaks and steering that sounds like a dump-truck is not right for a [redacted] that has abs and power steering She drives as if she learned on a car that had no power steering. The car had exhaust that rattled so bad you could feel it and smell it in the back seat. It stunk to high heaven like wet dog. and was covered in thick dog hair and smoke. [redacted] got out of the car to smoke. That is not ok by any stretch of the imagination. how is this what I paid for. Do you honestly think that any of that is ok I do not believe that this is your standard. In fact I know it isn't it wasn't when my son went. That is why I honestly thought you would care about my concerns That you would understand why after the Driving part you would see why I didn't believe I got what I paid for I would think I was owed a portion of my money back. If you are not going to do anything for me at least do some thing for future students and get [redacted]s car off the road until it is seriously fixed. No broken mirror, seat that wont move, a sifter he doesn't have to move with both hand (the student can move with one hand) an alignment, good tires and break, power steering that works well. give it a bath (gross) exhaust rattle, the shaking that happens for god knows what reason. I can't believe no other parents say anything I guess they think well my kid is done and not going to do this a gain so it doesn't matter but it does. Maybe you aren't aware of [redacted] because he is mostly at Oak Hill. but he is not what I paid for I don't think he is what you are paying for.I want to say also I am not being rude or picky or putting your business down as I said my son went there and had no issues.[If you are rejecting the business's response please enter your rejection comments here.]
Regards,
[redacted]

To whom it may concern,I tried to include attachments on your website with my response and it said could not find file and deleted everything I wrote.  So here goes.  Listed below is my response, along with an attachment showing my student contract etc. I will try to keep my response...

brief and address the issues listed in the complaint. 1.        [redacted] says that her daughter was in a classroom setting that was disruptive.  We did have four students that were disruptive.  That is exactly why we kicked them out.  She also said it was dirty.  We have an open door policy, and we invite anyone to visit our classroom.  It is very clean. 2.       We did make an error and put her weight as 210 instead or 110.  This error would not and cannot delay the issuance of permit.  Even if it would have gone unnoticed.  They would have simply changed the weight at the DMV when issuing the permit.  However, it was our mistake and I apologize. 3.       In addition to my instructors having to inspect our vehicles yearly just like every other car, we are required to have a yearly inspection from the Secretary of State BMV Driver License Examiner Supervisor.  This was done on February 22nd.  Just three months before she drove.  I have attached a copy of the inspection report.  4.       We never put a student on top of a list to drive.  We drive all the students at the same rate as to make sure that everyone finishes around the same time.  This is of course unless we have to legally wait for a medical form, eye form, etc. 5.       We never claim to have students complete their driving by the last class.  In fact we send a contract home with the student for them and their parent to sign with all of our policies.  It is highlighted for the parent to see that driving will extend after last class.  I have attached that signed contract as well.  6.       When a student fails the final exam, we put a sticky note on their paperwork to make sure the in car driver doesn’t issue accidentally.  There was another student in the class with the same first name that failed the final exam, and we mistakenly put the sticky on the wrong paperwork.  For that I apologize.  That was entirely our fault. 7.       In her complaint she says that she sent an email and never received a reply.  This is because the first sentence in her email said that she left a voice message and wanted a call back in the morning.  We called her back first thing in the morning and didn’t think that she needed a reply email.   In summary, we fulfilled all aspects of our contract that was signed by student and parent as shown on the attachment.  She received the entire 30 hours of classroom time and 10 hours of driving time by two instructors that take their job very seriously.  They care about their students.  I felt it necessary to attach forms to this reply “debunk” the claims that she made.  Lastly, I appreciate the Revdex.com for giving me the opportunity to file a response. Unfortunately, I think that [redacted] thinks that the Revdex.com can force me to give some sort of refund.  They have no governing authority over my business.  We have been in business since 1958, and have a wonderful reputation.  However, part of owning a business is the realization that you simply cannot please everyone.  While we try our hardest to do that, it does sadden me that [redacted] didn’t think that we served her daughter to the best of our abilities.      [redacted]OwnerRoy’s Driver & Rider Education[redacted]office: [redacted]www.roysdriverandridereducation.com Roy...
