We always tell our customers that did not bring their trade unit in for our inspection at the time of shopping or we are dealing with over phone/internet that we can "estimate" the value of their trade in and put some figures...
together for them but that it is just that, an estimate, and they are welcome to bring it by for inspection any time prior to finalizing the deal and that once we actually see the trade and inspect for any damages not disclosed the value and trade difference can change. This unit once brought to us had "major" damage we were unaware of so of course the price had to be adjusted.
We are sorry this customer has had problems with his refrigerator. I can assure you it was working when it left our dealership, as we do a full, thorough PDI on all .appliances, LP systems, and water systems,. etc. A full PDI takes our service technicians around...

We talked to the customer in [redacted] and offered to locate the closest dealer to him. All new [redacted] units carry a two year warranty. We are sorry this happened. If the unit was brought to our dealership, we would make a timely warranty repair. Since it is four hundred miles away, we recommend the closest authorized warranty repair facility to take care of the issue.
