Roy's Towing

Review: My apt. manager called Roy's Towing to tow my car because it was parked on curb in our complex and the car is registered nonoperational. I saw sticker to tow and called manager who said if you park in your private spot, it's okay. I moved to car to my private carport spot that I PAY FOR! I left for 20 mins. Came back to find out ROY'S TOWING had hunted down my car and towed it from my private parking spot. The manager specifically told him to tow it ONLY FROM CURB ACROSS FROM MAILBOXES. It was not illegally parked when I put it in my carport. When I went to pick up my car I explained situation and told them it was illegally towed and asked them to give me a break. I was there within four hours after finding out where it was. They said they would give me a $100 break and charged me $270! Come to find out next day that $270 is their normal charge for towing for someone else. If they tow for owner the charge is $10/mile and $5/hookup. They towed my car 8 miles. They could have given me break to $85 or charged me nothing at all because they illegally towed me, but they charged me FULL PRICE for an ILLEGAL TOW and then lied and said they were giving me a discount. The vehicle was completely driveable and is now making noises in the front.Desired Settlement: Refund of $270. They towed from a private parking spot, which was legal. They were told to tow from spot next to mailboxes ONLY! They did not do that. Then they lied to me about giving me a discount, like $270 was a good deal anyways, which it's not. I want a full refund of the tow and whatever it costs to get it fixed!
