Auto at an early time.First findings were that there were very large landscaping blocks (bricks) in the trunk.  Customers says they were using them as weight.   Upon racking the and inspecting the rear, we found left and right rear sections of the emergency brake cable were frozen in the engaged  "on"  position.  Thus, causing the emergency brakes to hold the brakes from moving freely.  Rear tires had, what I can only describe as little marbles inside them.Replacing the left and right rear emergency brake cable sections, rear brake hardware and shoes will all the car to move without brake dragging resistance.  Breaking down the rear tires and removing the little marbles inside them and balancing will also help reduce vibration.  The clutch on the car is bad and needs to be replaced asap.  Customer was informed that the car entire car needs attention/'work.  Its is stated on the work order as such.   The vehicle is past its mechanical limits and is wearing heavily overall. The rear suspension is intact and in condition of car with 220,000 miles on it.  Overall the car is in very rough condition. On June 17, 2015 the car came back  with 221,986 miles.  Customer stated the emergency brake doesn't work.   Found that the front section of the emergency brake cable system stretched and broke. The customer had their vehicle 30days and put 1,986 miles on it.   The repairs were done correctly.   As stated early the vehicle is rough condition both physically and mechanically.

Review: On Nov 20th, purchased used radiator for a 1997 Mazada B2300 for 75.00 from Roz's. Once it was installed found it leaked in a couple of place on the grill. Returned to Roz's around the 29th and asked for an in store credit. The owner said he would only give a replacement. Have been calling asking about when the replacement will come in, once or sometimes twice a week and have not been able to resolve with when my part will be in. I've offered again to have them to give me an in store credit but they claim the part will be in soon. I'd now like a full refund because of all my time wasted with them.Desired Settlement: Full refund of 75.00 dollars

Response:

The customers replacement radiator has been sitting here at Roz Auto for almost 30 days. Roz Auto has not seen or heard from the customer in almost 30 days. Roz Auto has made good on getting the customer the replacement radiator.

Thank you

They lie on car-parts.com they have things list at one price but when its a different price when you. They have doors list on there for 125 but dont say nothing about its just the shell of the door. So if you want a whole door you going to be charged for every part of the which will be over 250 dollars. They are ripping people off on use cars doors and parts won't do business with me and don't recommend any on else. If you can find it know but there you better off buying it brand new over price

Review: I hired roz's auto to install a new engine in my sons 2005 Chevy Trailblazer in March of 2014, also to fix the lights cause they were going on and off by themselves. They towed the auto to roz's auto salvage in Milwaukee where they installed the engine, I then received a phone call that the truck needed a new alternator they didn't have a used one I gave them permission to install the alternator. after the alternator was installed I received a phone call that it was the cause of the broken lights and come and pick up the truck. I went to pick up the truck paid the remaining balance and drove the truck maybe a quarter mile and noticed it would not go over 20 mph, I turned the car around and took it back told them what was wrong and they said they would look into it. They said they looked into it and said it was a misfire and was fixed but yet earlier they didn't detect a misfire I drove the car home and it still didn't seem right, I parked the truck for the night and in the morning the battery was dead, I called roz's and they came and towed the car back. They called and said the battery was dead and it was charged and that was all that was wrong I went and picked the car up just to see the truck with it's lights on, I asked the mechanic if the truck was running and he said no I asked why the lights were on he said he didn't know he got in the truck and stated he wanted me to hear how good it was running now he continued to get in the truck and it wouldn't start he had to jump it!!!!! I left the truck there and they said ok they were taking it to a transmission shop to have the transmission checked it was taken and when they went there there was transmission oil in it they drove it back and to my belief the transmission fluid leaked out I was finally fed up and had them tow the truck home because 3rd and 4th gear in the transmission was blown and it needed a new transmission. I took the car and got a new transmission and was told the roz's didn't reinsert engine alignment pins which are crucial to lining up the engine and transmission and was told there was no transmission fluid in the truck at all and that was the reason the fluid was gone. So this repair costs and is responsible about 5,000 dollars transmission and engine and I believe that Roz's auto salvage is at fault for my transmission failure. They also said that they put on a new air conditioning hose and there was now air, there isn't.Desired Settlement: I would like to have 1,000 for my time and inconvenience I believe it is worth a lot more to me. I would also like to be reimbursed for the whole cost of the new transmission since the failed to reinstall the engine alignment pins that kept the transmission and engine aligned all the transmission fluid leaked out and this is their fault.

Response:

Roz Auto was instructed to install an used engine in a non running Chevy Trailblazer. The vehicle was towed to Roz Auto in inoperable condition. Meaning the vehicle did not start or run at this time. Being that the vehicle was not operable Roz Auto had could not test or account for what did or did not work prior to the engine being installed.

After the engine was successfully installed, Roz Auto found the customers alternator would not maintain the proper 14.1 voltage. The transmission did not shift past second gear, and the headlamps would not turn off. Roz Auto did not have a used alternator to offer , so new was offered and accepted. As a courtesy Roz drove the vehicle to Accurate Transmission to have the transmission looked at. Accurate Transmission inspected the vehicle and fluid level. Accurate transmission diagnosed as mechanical failure to 3rd gear clutches/bands. Roz Auto provided the findings from Accurate Transmission ,in writing, to the customer. The vehicle left Roz Auto with the transmission with correct fluid level. Roz Auto had the transmission looked at as a courtisey to the customer. Roz Auto did not do any work on the transmission.

The engine was installed correctly in the vehicle and to the transmission. There are 11 bolts (7 on the engine block/4 on the oil pan) the hold the engine and transmission together. All were replaced and aligned properly. Thus the vehicle drove under its own power with exception of not shifting out of 2nd to 3rd gear.

Upon further inquiry with the customer, Roz Auto found that this vehicle has had multiple issues with in the past year. She has had the car towed numerous times by different companies. The catalytic converters have all gone bad and been replaced. The engine was running with straight 40 weight oil vs the 5w 30 it requires. Vehicle has been subject to multiple electrical jumps directly to the alternator. Thus sending voltage spikes the vehicles electrical system.

In conclusion, Roz Auto did the job it was hired to do. The engine is installed correctly operates in correctly in the vehicle. Roz Auto has done no wrong and stands behind their work and service.

Thank you

Review: I purchased a 2001 Dodge stratus from this company on Thurday October 9th. When picking the car up the directionals did not work. I was assured that I could bring the car back and they would fix them. I Tried to return the car the next day however the car would not start. I then tried to just ask for my money back but they said no that they needed to try and fix the problem and if after it was not to my satisfaction that then they would issue a refund. I said okay and allowed them to attempt to fix the car. On Monday October 13th they had claimed to have fixed the directionals (turn signals) and replaced the battery in which they said it was just a minor issue. On Friday October 17th the car would again not start leaving my boyfriend who was driving the car stranded at work. When I was aware the car would not start it was past 5 o'clock and they were close. I called the company the next morning (Saturday October 18th, 2014) to ask about what to do and the perhaps just returning the car. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone stated that hes just a machanic and they did me a favor the first time by not charging me to fix the directionals and replace the battery. He also stated that it's my responsibility to bring the car in to get looked at. I stated that the first time I had to bring the car in that they came and picked up the car. In which he responded were not a tow service. I said I would just like to speak with the owner and he continued to say well we fixed the car and it's not there problem and that they don't have to give me my money back but I can bring it in to get looked at. I stated that the first time the car was supposed to be fixed before I even drove off the lot with the car and he said well I don't know what was all said to you before. I again said well I will just speak with the owner and ended the conversation. I do not believe that they will give me my money back even though the buyers guide on the window of the car stated that everything was in working order and it was not even when I picked the car up. I also do not believe that they can fix this car.Desired Settlement: I would just like the money I paid for the car back and I am completely happy to have them keep the car and continue trying to fix it to sell to someone else.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I just wanted to inform you that after I filed a complaint that I was contacted by the company and the complaint has been resolved and the money for the car was returned to me. Although I do not believe that we understood each other or that the transaction was good for either party they did fix the situation by returning my money which I was grateful for. Thank you!

Review: I took my 1998 Mazda Protege in to get the rear-end inspected and repaired so the car is safe to drive. I'm given an estimate of about $500 to fix emergency brake lines and rear brakes. I get the car back and the rear-end is in no better shape than it ever was (the rear tires slanted out and balding the tires) and its still totally not safe to drive. When they returned the car I told them it was no better and the mechanic told me I needed a 4 whel alignment (which they don't do) and tires, not in the original estimate and it wil be fine. I get the tires but 3 days later the emergency brake line breaks and when I take the car in for the alignment Farm & Fleet gave me a $700 estimate for several things and they can't even do an alignment because of damage to the rear-end. They scammed me, told me to put $500 into the car when there was obviously more work that needed to be done, but the promised me the $500 repair would fix it. And when I took it back they won't do anything about it. Cheats.Desired Settlement: Either make my car safe to drive like you promised or refund my wasted repair.

Review: I purchased four struts on March 20, 2014. The part nos. were [redacted]R, 1Y-strut, Stk # [redacted], 2 for the front and 2 for the back for a total of $211.20. I was told the struts were good and had no defects. I then made an appointment with a mechanic to install on 3/24/2014 only to find out that the parts were defective meaning that they were leaking and if put on my vehicle, they would cause suspension failure. My mechanic had 2 struts available for the back and I purchased those at a greater expense and had them installed. I then took the struts back to Roz and was told I could not get my money back and was given 2 different struts for the front which I was again told were good and no defects. I was given an in-store credit of $105.60 for the 2 defective back struts. The invoice states "No cash refunds, inspect merchandise. Sold As Is with a 30 day warranty covering defective parts only. Absolutely no merchandise returnable without our consent and the original invoice. No exceptions. We reserve the right to charge a 25% handling fee based on the total cost of the sale. Deposits on parts good for 30 days thereafter deposits, become nonrefundable."Desired Settlement: I believe that a full refund should be given since the parts are being sold defective and the As Is should not apply to parts knowingly being sold that are defective.

Business

Response:

As the warranty states, there is a 30 day warranty on all parts. Parts are warrantied against defective. If a part is defective it will be exchanged. The customer was offered replacements for the defective struts. The customer said he went ahead and purchased new ones. As stated, Roz Auto's warranty is exchange only. Understanding that the customer had purchased new, Roz Auto made an adjustment to its policy and gave a full in-store credit.

The warranty is clearly stated on the invoice. The customer is fully aware of the warranty policy. Roz Auto has gone above and beyond by offering the credit for future use.

Roz Auto will honor the credit till it is used in full, as long as the customer retains the credit slip.

Thank you.
