R&R Drain-Pro

Review: On January 28th 2013, R&R Drain-Pro replaced a septic system Pump (1/3 hp) for a cost of $250.00. I was told it had a one year Guarantee. One Month later the pump quit working. Drain-Pro is refusing to replace the pump and are Stating that I or someone else pulled the power cord out of the unit. I live in a rual area and my septic alarm sounded at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. No one came into my yard, unscrewed the lid to my septic tank, pulled the cord, replaced the lid and ran off. I am not in the habit of destroying a new pump which I just paid $250.00 for one month prior, which without would cause my system to back up into my finished basement. I gave R&R Drain-Pro one month to replace the failed pump, which I thought was long enough. It wasnt untill I called them, that I discovered they were not going to replace the pump and was asked if I wanted to pay another $250.00 to have ([redacted]) service Technican come out and install a new pump.Desired Settlement: Replace with a new Pump.

[redacted] returned Revdex.com's courtesy call of 4/26/13 and responded verbally to complaint. He said they had gone out and replaced the consumer's pump with one that had only been used one time. He said it looked as though the original pump had been tampered with because the wires were loose, as though perhaps someone had been trying to steal it, which is common in that area.

It is not common in this area for any crime ! , and to prove my point my back up pump has been laying next to the Lift station for over a month now and no one has touched it. The pump they installed was to hold me over till my new pump was returned, This pump was not used only once ! in fact the installer said "It should hold you untill we get word on your pump" He didnt even sound sure of himself that it (pump) would last.

In fact.. The installer stated that he knew what the trouble was before he even brought the pump up out of the tank because he himself pulled on the power cord and it (cord) came up out of the water not conected to anything, What is he doing pulling on the Power Cord ?

Bottom Line. I did not destroy my New pump and no one attempted to steal my pump. I was told this pump has a 1 year guarantee and it lasted only one month.
