Run
Run. America Home Shield assigned my broken furnace. They came out on the 4th, then a second time, then on the 17th. The tech couldn't find my house and called me and flipped out. And I quote... "I expect the red carpet rolled out for me when I come to fix your heater" - WOW, who says that right? "You need to drive to me and I will follow you to your house. Knowing its been nearly 3 weeks and I didn't want to start the process over again, I swallowed my pride and apologized, and tried to give directions but he talked over me and said 'you don't get it, I hate people."

Then he shows up 4 hours later, looks at the 3 year old unit and says' Maytag, we dont work on Maytag, sorry and leaves." NOTE: 3rd time they came out? Then I call spoke to the dispatch person, very sweet and understanding. I shared my experience and she apologized. I did ask if she could figure out what was wrong since it's been 3 weeks w/out the heater I wanted to give the next guy a leg up. I didnt hear back, so I called at 4 pm and guess who answered? Yep, the same tech. He said we had nothing to talk about and he closed the ticket.

I would not trust this team w/ my wife home alone.

We apologize that you feel our technician was trying to have you do something you didn't need. We pride ourselves on offering our clients all options available to them, in your specific situation the tech recommended the option of replacement because of the current and possibility of...

future repair cost due to the age/condition of your existing heating and cooling system.
We are pleased that your cooling system is currently operating and hope you have continued comfort.

Many thanks. R&R heating have indicated a refund will be coming and I await its arrival. Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
R&R response was inaccurate. And in item 4 they did not respond to the issue.
Item #1, R&R technician who came on 7/28/15 said he was only here for maintenence check of the outside compressor. He stated he would not enter the attic to check the duct work or the air handler. At the completion of the work I asked for a copy of the service record. He would not give me a copy. We would like R&R to provide the copy of the service please.
Item#2, We would like R&R to provide a record indicating the runtime has been checked and what specifications were used. Again the technician stated that he was only here to perform the compressor check. I was with the technician the whole time he was here, he did not check the run times.
Item#3, the bedroom vent in the corner located on the side of the room where the door leads to the hall way where the return vent is. there are only 3 positons the louvers can be positioned, toward the bed, straight down or toward the wall. If the louvers are positioned straight down or to the wall, the cooling air does not reach the bed because the cool air is drawn toward to return vent in the hall way. If the louvers are directed toward the bed, to not hit our faces, then only approximately 20% of the airflow comes out.
Item#4, R&R did not address the reduced airflow throuhg the vent from the plenum and in the family room.
The Labor and Industry construction compliance officer asked me whether the R&R Lein Disclosure Contact was reviewed with me, and whether I had signed it. I had not seen the document. We would like to see a copy of the document as well. Regards,[redacted]

[redacted], We have addressed all of your concerns as follows: 1) 1st year check was performed on 7/28/15 (10 month after installation, this check is typically performed after the first 12 months of operation). 2) On 7/28/15 the run times were verified and found to be within the proper operating...

specifications. 3) On 7/23/15 the bedroom register was replaced, at no charge to the homeowner, with a new manual register allowing complete directional airflow control by the homeowner. 4) On 8/12/15 our office received one voicemail from [redacted], on 8/13/15 a return call was made to [redacted] and the previous three items were discussed in detail again.

Item#1- R&R installed the cooling portion of the HVAC system only (air handler & ducting in the attic and condensing unit outside) on 7/28/15 the technician tested the functionality of the cooling system from both the outdoor unit location as well as the air handler location. Item#2- 7/28/15 the technician verified the cycle rate/run time setting located within the existing thermostat. Item#3 & item#4- 8/13/15 the foreman discussed both the question re: the register in the bedroom and the airflow to the family room at which time the homeowner agreed that the cooling system was satisfying the thermostat setting even when the outside temperatures exceeded 100 degrees F. Request #1- R&R will forward the maintenance task sheet from the technician's visit on 7/28/15. Request #2- The technician noted the cycle rate/run time setting on the task sheet, the specifications used are from the manufacturer of the thermostat. The thermostat was supplied by the owner. Request #3- The Lien Disclosure information is located on the original proposal, R&R will forward a copy to the owner. The proposal has both the customer's signature and initials confirming the owner acceptance of the proposal, the terms and conditions of the proposal and confirmation that the owner was made aware of the Lien Disclosure.

Our AC was literally turning into an ice block after 5 minutes of being on. Since my wife had used R&R previously at her old house and was extremely happy with the company - I called R&R. I was hoping to get an appointment the same week, but figured it would be a week out...nope! I was scheduled that same day. [redacted] came out 3 hours later. He was professional, full of knowledge & experienced - found the source of the issue, fixed it, and tested it. He even went into depth on what he did to diagnose and to make sure there wasn't any other issues. I gave him a number of what my budget was, and he hit it on the nose...well, he was under by 85 cents! He was very patient with me, answered all my questions and educated me . R&R has my loyalty for life.

Review: Schedule routine maintenance on my [redacted] with R&R early last week. I mentioned there was a slight leak in the circ pump that might require a seal repair. Technician arrived on time on Wednesday afternoon (I took work off that afternoon to be at the house). He said he tightened the bolts on the pump and the leak subsided and that everything checked out fine. The next day I noted my heat was not working and called R&R. They sent a tech out. He indicated that the pressure relief valve had not seated when tested and the tech who did the PM didn't notice. He said he'd have to find a valve...could take days. In the meantime, I needed to keep the floors warm with space heaters to prevent the floor lines from freezing - no hot water for dishes or bathing either. I called first thing Friday morning and they said it would be Monday before they could get the valve. Later that day they found one (I left work) and installed it late afternoon Friday and restarted the [redacted]. Saturday morning the [redacted] was no longer working. A tech came out Saturday evening and said he was not sure what was going on and their system guy would need to look at it. He thought it may have something to do with the circ pump b/t the holding tank and [redacted] but wasn't sure. I mentioned it sounded as if there was air in the system. He said that was boiling in the [redacted] - too hot and cavitating when reached 230 degrees F and shut down. Sunday the system stopped again. I restarted it several times and bled air off the air trap assembly and noted that it was banging in the [redacted] at 150 degrees, not 230 which I believe means air was introduced into the system - three times it shut itself down, but finally started and held after I bled considerable air out of the system at a low temperature. This morning, the system is running. I called R&R and asked when their system guy could come out. Tanya, their service manager, said it would be several weeks - they intended to try replacing the circ pump this weekDesired Settlement: Fix the [redacted]!! It worked absolutely fine for years 'til R&R performed "PM" on it. I don't believe I should have to pay another penny. I paid ~$160 for them to "PM" it which they didn't do and another ~$130 for them to replace the pressure relief valve. I should not incur additional costs. In fact, I went to the doctor Friday to follow up knee surgery I had last week and my blood pressure was 169/107 because of the frustration of dealing with R&R. They claim no responsibility.

Great experience! Tech arrieved within 30 minutes of placing my call to the dispatcher. Technician [redacted] identified the problem within minutes. Was able to explain what the issue was and provided us with very helpful information on how to avoid this issue from happening in the future. Very knowledgeable and super friendly service.

We recently had our annual service call for our furnace. After a fair amount of research, we chose R&R Heating to service our furnace.

My wife and I couldn't have been more impressed by the professionalism of our service person. Not only we he clean and informative, but he was extremely well-spoken and had some of the best customer service we've seen for some time.

Thank you R&R for your quality of service and professionalism.

Our water heater broke and we called R&R. They came out three times in a two week period and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They spent hours trying to figure it out, and charged me almost $200 to come out, clean a part and put it back in. The technician was extremely rude to the tenants renting my house. I will never use this company again. Very disappointing.

repairman from r and r was very knowledgeable and polite.

He got right to the job and was very efficient. thank you R and R

My air conditioning unit stopped working and R&R helped with troubleshooting and they had the part I needed to fix, at a great price. Got my A/C back running again less than 1 hour after getting the needed part that they had in stock---oh, and my A/C unit is 22 years old. Great service, great price. Definitely will be my first stop for any heating and cooling parts or service in the future, they are GREAT!

Review: r and r came to our home a year ago and said I needed a new air conditioner that this one is non repairable and that I needed a new one. I still have the same air conditioner I called another company about the same air conditioner. I paid him $185.00 and I went on line and purchased a air filter and a compressor for a total of $46.00 . our air conditioner is working fine and they wanted to put in $6000,00 air conditioner that I don't need. that is why I am filing a complaint so they don't do that to someone else.
