R&R Residential Services Reviews (1)

Review: [redacted] (hereinafter referred to as the company), completed work on my home in February, 2015 part of this work included a roof repair. Upon completion of the job, a payment was made in full to the company for all repairs. According to the company, all work completed on my home would be insured and under warranty. On April 18, 2015 while raining, a significant amount of water leaked through the roof, down an interior wall, and onto the tile floor. The leak also caused some water damage on the ceiling. The area of leakage occurred where the company had completed the roof repair in February. On April 22, [redacted] came out to take a look at the damage. [redacted] was the supervisor on site while the original work was being done. Apparently, he is also a co-owner in the company. After inspection of the leak [redacted] stated that the work was insured and he would have the roofers out to fix the problem by the weekend. The roofers never came, [redacted] never called, and my several attempts at reaching either [redacted] or the original owner of the company [redacted] only got me delayed, intermittent, and nonproductive replies. My patience ran out and I finally wrote an email to [redacted]. I have included the email and his reply below:[redacted]It has been nearly twenty days since I first contacted you concerning the roof leak from the area on the roof in which [redacted]s crew completed prior work. Since that time I have had to contact you several times trying to get the problem fixed. Each time the reply from you states something along the lines of, "I will contact the roofers and set up an appointment first thing Monday morning", "[redacted] will be out to take a look", "It was my understanding he was going out yesterday to find the source of the leak", "Let me touch base with [redacted]." Meanwhile, absolutely nothing has been done to fix the leak.In addition, you sent me the following email on April 15 in regard to your professional relationship with [redacted] & [redacted],Because of a difference in business philosophy R&R will no longer be conducting business with [redacted] and [redacted]. It was my company originally and I firmly believed teaming up with them would be beneficial. It turns out it has been a detriment.Based on what your email said, I was quite surprised that [redacted] showed up at the house on April 22 to take a look at the leak. But not surprised that nothing has been done to fix the problem since that date....Even though [redacted] said it was under warranty and would have the roofers there to fix the roof before the coming weekend! The bottom line:It is your company and your responsibility to fix the problem. I have been very patient but my patience has been taken advantage of. I am expecting roofers at my home on Monday, May 11th by 9am to fix the leak from the repair work your company completed in February and also to repair the ceiling water damage. That is almost a week for you to get them lined up and ready to go. I will be filing a formal complaint if there are any other delays by your company. [redacted] reply:[redacted],There is no company left. I have no roofer as it was [redacted] who hired him. I have done everything in my power to fix the issue. I do not possess the knowledge to diagnose the issue and fix whatever it is.I have been left with many problems such as yours dropped in my lap as a result of much dishonesty from [redacted] and [redacted].I am sorry this has effected you as a result. I have no one to send and our company ([redacted]) has folded and has no funds to continue operation. If you would like to hire someone to fix the problem, I will try to pay for 1/3 of the repairs as I was 1/3 owner of R&R. I am only able to do what I can do.Thanks,[redacted]End of email___________________________________________________________________________... Settlement: To resolve this matter, I want the company to repair the roof leak AND repair damage to the ceiling caused by the leak. If the company cannot complete the repairs in a timely manner, I want to be reimbursed for the $1,230 I paid the company for the original repair.
