Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:On Friday June 30th @9amThree R&R employees arrived at 9am (a half an hour later than the agreed time)The client explained to the group charge that she wanted the first section trimmed back and further down the drive way to have the douglas fir clipped at the trunk of the tree high enough that a motor home could drive down the driveway without bumping any branchesR&R employees said they would trim any thing that hit the top of their truckR&R employees then drove up the drive way to turn the truck around, stopped, got out, and proceeded to ask the client's male tenant what he would like servicedThe male tenant then told the charge that it was the client that was payeeThe charge then came back to the client and asked if she wanted the trees in front of her other tenants house trimmed (not discussed in the job description)The client repeated what precisely was to be done on the drivewayThe crew went back down the drivewayAfter about an hour the client brought the crew cold waterThe crew was all sitting in the truck smoking cigarettesOne of the crew members was never witnessed outside of the truckThe charge of the crew got out of the truck and was explaining that he was using a pole saw and standing on the truck to reach the overhanging branchesThe client told him that she wanted the branches that she couldn't reach (being she already owns a pole saw and a ladder) and that she would like them to be trimmed at the base of the trunk rather than cut backThe client also stated that she wanted the trees on the corner of the beggining of the driveway and the douglas fir to be prioritized, the charge said he would get to that even if it took his crew a little longer than the two hoursThe crew had brought a wood chipper and the client and charge agreed that the wood chips would be dumped on the property (there were no wood chips after the work was done)As the client was leaving she saw a leaf blower on the driveway, she mentioned that the driveway did not need to be leaf blown since it is a rugged gravel driveway and would make no differenceThe charge said that it was something they always doThe client repeated that she did not want/need that serviceAs the client was leaving they proceeded to leaf blow the drivewaysince the client had already paid in full up front and had already explained the job criteria she went to take care of other matterson Monday July 3rd @4pmThe client called R&R and spoke with the secretary, she told the secretary that she was not pleased with the service and that the driveway didn't look much different than beforethe Douglas fir was untouched and the section on the corner still had overhanging branchesthe secretary said that she would speak to the chargeon Friday July 14th @3:30pmThe client visited the offices of R&R with a friend who had formerly been a business manager after many failed attempts to contact themThe secretary told the client that she had not been able to contact the charge and both the secretary's parents had cancerThe client then emphasized how displeased she was that the work was unfinished and that the workers were in the truck on break after only an hour of workThe secretary told the client that is was mandatory that the workers have a break every couple of hoursOregon law requires an employer-paid rest period of not less than minutes for every segment of four hoursThe secretary told the client that she would send someone out to assess the job that was doneon Friday July 21st @10amthe employee that bids the jobs came out to assess the drivewayThe client and the assessor agreed that the job done with the pole saw was something the client could have done herselfthe assessor said that he would talk with the office about sending someone out to finish the jobover the next month the client repeatedly tried to get ahold of the secretary to find out when someone would come outOnce the client got ahold of the secretary and the secretary told her that someone would come come out on a Friday because Friday is when they work in our areaThat Friday was too hot outside for them to workThe client called again several times, once the secretary said she was busy and would call back but never did on Wednesday august 16th @ 9:44am The client called R&R tree service and spoke to the secretaryThe secretary said they would be able to come out again but would have to charge (none of the employees ever mentioned charging on top of the initial payment to finish the job)The secretary also said that the employee who managed the crew was on maternity leave otherwise she would have a three way call with him and the clientThe client was upset that there would be further charges to finish a job that was left undone and already paid forThe secretary told the client that they used the boom to cut the branches and the client disagreedThe secretary asked “how do you know?” and the client said that she had not seen them use it and that the charge employee had told her in description what he was using to cut the limbs (which was a pole saw)The client then restated her complaints including that she was suspicious of one of the employees who did not get out of the truck and was seemingly intoxicated or hung overThe secretary asked “well was he driving?” and the client told her that he was not the one drivingThen the secretary asked “are you accusing our company of drinking on the job?”The client stated that she did not have any evidence but it appeared that wayThe client stated that she wished she had looked at reviews before she hired R&R tree serviceThe conversation endedI reject this response because I paid them for time to do things which I could not do myself and they chose to waste the two hours I paid for on services that I did not want and firmly expressed I did not wantAlso, my phone records show only receiving incoming calls from them over a period of weeks and multiple outgoing calls to their officeI feel disrespected and robbed of my moneyAt years old I do not have the capacity to go out and do this kind of work, I’m very disappointed and I would like a refund so I can hire another company Sincerely, [redacted]
