R.S. Fincher & Co. Reviews (4)

This is the first complaint that I have ever written to the Revdex.com and my first formal complaint about R.S. Fincher. My previous dealings with them were consistently professional, in contrast to the event described below.
On the evening of Saturday, September 26th 2015, I returned to my townhouse in the Walden Creek Subdivision to find my side yard flooded, and a small creek running from my side yard through my back yard. Upon inspection, I located a spot in the side yard where water was bubbling up from the ground which seemed to be causing the substantial amount of water. I called the R.S. Fincher emergency number, left a detailed message stating that I realized that it had been raining/drizzling for a week but my side yard was flooded and I thought that I had a broken water pipe since I found water bubbling up from my yard in one spot.. Within 15 minutes I was contacted by a women to whom I again explained the situation, and she said she would contact someone. Within a few minutes I received a text from a woman who works for R.S. Fincher, who asked me to text pictures of the issue, which I did; I also texted a small video of the spot where water was bubbling up from the ground. In response, I received a text from her stating "This appears to be rain water pudding up from all the rain. There is not anything we can do to address this right now." I responded that I wasn't convinced that was the case, and pointedly asked why there was water bubbling up from the ground, and the response was "We will have to have it looked at when the rain stops and discuss with the board. I will notify them when I get home." At this point I called the Town of Apex after hours utility emergency number and notified the representative from R.S. Fincher via text that I did so because I was not comfortable with her making a diagnosis based on some photos, especially with the water bubbling up from the ground. The Town of Apex technician drove - over an hour - to come to my townhouse, where he promptly identified the issue - a broken irrigation line - and proceeded to turn off the meter. Thank you Town of Apex!
On Monday September 28th I called R.S. Fincher and spoke with the same representative who I had been communicating with on Saturday, regarding the concerns I had with how this event was handled on their part and how we could prevent this in the future. I was hoping for an apology at the very least, or acknowledgement that someone should have come to my townhouse and provided an "emergency response." Unfortunately, the response I received was literally silence on the other end of the line, followed by "Well, it's being fixed now."
I decided to write this complaint because of my dissatisfaction with the handling of my after hours emergency, and my hope to prevent a similar situation from occurring to one of my neighbors. I feel that it wasn't taken seriously, since nobody came to my townhouse to investigate the flooding, even after I told the representative from R.S. Fincher that I was concerned that my basement was going to be flooded because the water was to the top of my window well, and that I had found where water was bubbling up from the ground which seemed to point to a broken water line. Instead, I was asked to text pictures so that the issue could be assessed from the comfort of someone's home rather than going out in the rain on a chilly Saturday night to investigate it. They were totally unsympathetic and uncaring, and as a result, I am very disappointed in the poor customer service proved by R.S. Fincher regarding this issue. Ironically, on the R.S. Fincher website for the emergency contact information, the example of an emergency necessitating a call to them is a broken water pipe.

This is the worst "property management" company I have ever dealt with. They do absolutely nothing. Save yourself the trouble and move somewhere where these crooks do not operate.","neg-1
