Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
My wife and I had no problem with the work or finances involved when RS Roofing repaired storm damage to our house. The issue was not about these thingsRS Roofing honored the contract as originally agreed, in a timely fashion, using quality products, and completed to our satisfaction. We believe they are a good and honest company. The contention came after repairs were finished and we tried to close the contract in accordance with instructions from our mortgage companyFor some reason we have not determined, the company stalled for months, seeming to be purposely avoiding contact and would not meet with us or even answer our phone calls. This raised our concern that something shady was going on behind our backs. Thankfully, it proved to be not so. RS Roofing has now responded and the issue is settled and closed. We thank RS Roofing for the work they did well, and regret the customer relations situation that occurred. Sincerely,** ** ***

I am rejecting this response because:***; I have no idea why you are fighting tnisYou remind me of the conductor leading the stringed ensemble to continue playing on while the Titanic is sinking...so I will be brief so as not to waste time:You have already admitted in my presence, your partner's presence, and in the presence of othe sheet metal firm personnel that the siding and trim do not match, and that the workmanship evidenced by the prior sub-contractor is poor at bestI doubt these folks will commit perjury to provide you witnesses to countermand my allegationsI secured the opinion of sheet metal building erectors each of which came to the same conclusion the the trim and siding did not match and that the workmanship was exceedingly poor; I tried very hard not to "poison the well" when I asked for their respective observations regarding the barn and the repair work that was performed; I succeededYou will recall that a similar situation attended the work of the insulation contractorHe failed to clean up the insulation tailings debris strewn throughout the barn following the presumed completion of the workI discovered this unacceptable situation and only then were you aware this had happenedAgain, had you been performing your GC due diligence this situation should never have occurredIn the end you and others ended cleaning up the barn well after the factIt remains beyond comprehension why you have not claimed against the original sheet metal SC's surety bond to get recompense for his poor workYou have opted de facto to have me burdened with his poor decisions and workmanship and your lack of adequate GC control of the barn project THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNJUST!!!!*** every contractor has a job that goes badI suggest you learn from this experienceAt this point I do not consider you competent or willing to take responsibility for this major project failure and make it right on my behalf *** We have been at this months, shortly to be months, and you have not brought this project to an acceptable completionI will be securing the services of an alternative contractor and such will require the use of all remaining project funds (~$9,100)*** it is clear no one would find your performance on this barn job anything but atrociousI urge you not to push this any further. I am sorry this has happened, but such has happened by no fault of mine....period

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:1.It is unreasonable to assert that GC/Contractor [RS] could not have caused barns repairs to match existing or to match once completedRS simply dropped the ball by their own admission and allowed a subcontractor to utilize non-matching materials and did not closely monitor subcontractor workmanshipCustomer requested reviews by of the repair job and eacg noted not only a bad color match but as well sub-standard workmanshipRS by their own admission was overwhelmed by the amount of work they were awared following the devastating storms of 11/They admitted to their inability to properly manage and control my job and well as other jobsRS neglected to timely alert the insurance company (***) that additional monies were going to be necessary in order to provide uniform color to the repairIndications from other sheet metal contractors note that this job should have been easily completed with uniform colorationRS failed to keep customer informed as to difficulties encountered during the repair work,It is furthermore simply beyond any reasonable person's experience that this job would take more than a year to complete, except that RS lost functional control of its work load and neglected appropriate oversight of this customer's projectIt was known from the outset by RS that customer was experiencing significant health problemsCustomer notified RS whenever possible that meetings, etc wd have to be rescheduled due to these health issuesCustomer never knowingly locked RS from propery accessRegardless, the project should have been completed in the one year plus that has passedOn the other hand, RS was chronically late to meetings, chronically late to telephone conferences, and failed to notify customer on numerous occasions regarding their inability to be at a meetingImplying that customer did not communicate adequately with RS is simply a lieLastly, RS admitted on numerous occasions they were overwhelmed by their project load, and had insufficient resources to timely deal with each and every projectResources that were scarce were: manpower, management power and cashflow.

I believe this has been settled to the cus***ers satisfaction and a bit beyondI do not totally agree with the complaint, but it is valid from Ms*** point of viewI did make some bad choices as to management personnel for opening a new officeThat has been corrected and the office is now
closedWhen I visited the clients in the Huntsville area my intent was to have them all taken well care ofTo do this I hired a local contractor with an excellent reputation to finish all work for meHis home and business location were in the flooding in that part of Texas and he has not recovered from itI have been unable to find local contractors/sub-contractors that will take on the jobs not completedAs a result I have been extending apologies and returning any money paid for work not completed to all cus***ers in the area

Providing a quality product and meeting the needs of our customers is of the highest importance to us at RS Roofing & Construction Group LLC.For this reason, we have gone above and beyond the call of duty and the letter of our contract at every turn on this project.Insurance Paperwork was...

received November 30 of 2015.  Work on your main house was completed January 19th 2016.The barn portion of your project was substantially (90%) complete on 2/4/2016.  This includes over $8,000 in additional work on the barn.  This is evidenced by emails to and from [redacted] with photos of the additional work and [redacted]'s approval (and payment to you) of the change orders. Our agreement (contract) was to do the work prescribed by the insurance paperwork (adjuster's worksheet).  We have made numerous fruitless (you were unavailable at our appointment time) trips to meet you to discuss completion of the project.  You have had the gate locked when our subcontractors showed up for scheduled work.On 12/27/16, You specifically told me not to order material to finish the project.  On January 5th we told you we were scheduling the remaining work.  You again told me not to proceed.  On both of those occasions I had agreed to go well above and beyond the call of duty in an attempt to keep you as a satisfied customer.I have attached a statement of your account.  It includes credits for work we have not completed (We certainly don't want to be paid for work we have not completed).  It also reflects several discounts which we offered you and which we are STILL honoring.  Finally, it includes a credit for the trim which you say does not match.  Your insurance company did not pay for matching trim, and you have refused (numerous times) to select a trim color.  As a courtesy and in an effort to bring this matter to a resolution, we have given you a credit for the trim which we did both PROVIDE AND INSTALL.In conclusion, I am sorry things turned out this way, I have been beyond willing to work with you.  As resolution, simply pay the balance due and use the remaining monies from your claim along with the many discounts we afforded you to complete the chicken coop roof and replace the trim (which you do not like the shade of green).

We understand that you are unhappy with the dark green trim.  We think a lighter shade of green would be a better match. In order to accommodate that change without cost to you,We have offered a discount for all of the cost of the trim which we installed.  So there is no charge for the trim which you say is the wrong color. You still have a significant balance for the work which is completed.  Even after all of the discounts which we afforded you.We won't go back and forth about appointments.  [redacted] was late twice.  You were notified of the change in time (that I would be late) an hour before the scheduled arrival time.We schedule almost all of our appointments for an approximate time or a 2 hr. window because the nature of our business makes it difficult to know how long any individual appointment will take.Regards, [redacted].

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I did, in fact, receive a phone call from [redacted]...

[redacted] from the roofing company on the date he indicated. He said that he would bring a statement to my home that no monies are owed to subcontractors and the bill is paid in full. I would pay him the remaining balance upon receipt of the statement
So far he has not complied with this. Sincerly[redacted] E. [redacted]
