RSVP Magazine Reviews (1)

My complaint is with the Editor/Owner of RSVP mag. I had a customer service issue in which he used profane language and was extremely unprofessional.I signed a 3 month Summer special ad contract with RSVP for June/July/Aug 2013 with [redacted]. He had promised to deliver magazine copies for my waiting room for each of the 3 months. He fulfilled this obligation for Jun and July. He dropped the ball for August. I attempted to text him via cell, as that was our means of communication. He failed to respond to my texts. I ended up going to [redacted] myself for the waiting room copies. I then attempted to contact his partner sales assoc [redacted] and left a message on her office and cell#. No response from her either. Thus, I was left with the decision to call [redacted], the owner. He called me back and I explained what had happened. He asked me to take a pic of my texts that I had sent [redacted] and to send it to his phone. He also told me that his mother was very sick and he was under a lot of stress etc. My initial phone convo with him was on 8/29/13 at 2:08 pm. He told me he would speak to [redacted] and would get back to me the next day. I told him I was off on Fridays but he could reach me on my cell. I never heard back from him. I then sent him a text on 9/3/13 at 2:25 pm. He then called me back. During this conversation, he raised his tone of voice in an unprofessional manner, took his staff's word against mine and accused me of fabricating the whole story; he continued to use profanity in the conversation and kept telling me his 96 yr old mother was sick. I, myself, operate a business here in Memphis and as everyone knows; a business owner doesn't bring his/her personal affairs to work and definitely doesn't use his/her personal life as an excuse for poor customer service. Instead of resolving the issue at hand in a professional manner; **. [redacted] chose to act in an inappropriate manner over the telephone. He refused to hear my side on 9/3/13; which was quite a different tune I was hearing on 8/29/13. I ended the conversation and told him thank you for his time and hung up. I sent him 2 text messages after I hung up and have saved all texts on my cell to and from him. I also have saved all texts received from [redacted] since June 11th. It is quite obvious that **. [redacted] doesn't believe in true customer service especially since I was a first time customer with an excellent good pay history. He needs to learn etiquette and manners when conducting himself as a business owner. His arrogance was quite profound in t he final phone conversation I had with him. He needs to leave his personal matters/life outside the door when conducting business with customers. In order to make customers happy he needs to resolve the issue at hand instead of berating and demeaning the "paying" customer. He was jumping down my throat and mocking my words throughout the conversation. He even asked me if I wanted to fire [redacted]; in which I replied no, I just want the issue resolved. I was getting no where on the phone with this man, so I ended the conversation and here I am on the Revdex.com website wanting the public to know how unprofessional, uncouth and unappreciative he is of his customers. He doesn't listen to a customer complaint nor does he resolve it.. he attacks you verbally with his bullying tactics. He believes only his staff's fabricated stories and instead points the finger at the customer. What a poor example of a business owner!Desired SettlementI am seeking a full refund for the month of August or a replacement of placing one ad at no additional charge.
