Review: In August 2014, I purchased a vehicle from Rt 25 Preowned Cars Inc, in [redacted], the cost of vehicle was $3900. I traded in a 2004 Hyundai Sonata towards the purchase of vehicle. Dealer stated that he transferred plates from Sonata on Dodge Van and he also put a temporary registration on Dodge vehicle. Dealer stated that I should get registration sticker in mail within the month and I will also get the title to the car. A balance of $500 remained for payment of car. I told dealer that once I received registration sticker in mail and he had the title I would pay the remaining $500. A few months went by and I did not see a registration sticker in mail, I also received a letter from insurance company stating that something was wrong with the vin # provided, contacted dealer, explained what letter said and he said to bring letter by and he would take care of issue with insurance company and at this point dealer told me that car was a salvage car and that there was some problem with title. I asked why he sold me a car that was salvage and why he did not tell me this before. He said he told me and I replied, why would I pay $2500 cash plus give up my 2004 sonata for a vehicle that I cannot drive. Dealer told me that by end of September, I would have everything. Months and months went by, out of money, out of a sonata that was in driving condition and now I am stuck with a car that I cannot drive. Requested a refund and dealer refused. A few months into this fiasco, dealer requested van so he can take it somewhere to have it inspected. Fast forward to April 2015, 8 months later, received call from dealer stated that he has title and registration sticker for vehicle, took $500 to dealer, dealer [redacted] only turned over title that had his address with my name but NO registration sticker. Took documents to DMV, DMV said that I needed to go back to dealer, plates from sonata was never transferred onto dodge van and that the vehicle should never have been sold and the title is wrong...9 months later.Desired Settlement: I am currently stuck with a car almost 1 year later that I cannot drive because of all the outstanding paper work issues that vehicle has. I am requesting a refund or a different vehicle.
