I filed a complaint here against RTN Federal Credit Union in August As of September 2016, they agreed that they did in fact place inaccurate information on my credit report and they were correcting this errorAs of October 31, they have once again updated my *** credit report and RE-AGED the same accountThey've FALSELY made up on-time payment history through June and began reporting late payments through October This is illegal and this BULLYING needs to cease. In addition to a response on Revdex.com website, provide in writing via postal mail a letter signed by a management level executive of the company indicating that they have knowledge of this inaccurate reporting on my *** credit report, state what they have done to fix/delete the problemI would also need RTN Federal Credit Union to state in such letter that they will cease from such acts going forwardI DO NOT want to be contacted by telephoneI would like everything in writing to my mailing address provided at the header of the complaint

[There are several inaccuracies in RTN's response and I've just received an updated copy of my credit report RTN is still incorrectly reporting information to the credit bureausI have since filed a formal complaint with NCUA, the government agency that oversees credit unions, and I will await a proper resolution from them where everything is properly documented to avoid any further unfair practices. ]

Tell us why here...  RTN received member’s complaint on 8-29-16 and the Revdex.com complaint on 8-30-16 and began to research it immediately.  We have found that incorrect information was in his file and have attempted to correct the file through the on line credit bureau site known as [redacted]....

When we checked the file to verify the correction was done, we discovered the file is now deleted and shows as ‘No Record Found’. By the nature of this loan, there is a business relationship between member and RTN. This loan was originated on 5-5-2006, and charged off on 6-23-2010.  Placing a loan into ‘Charge Off’ status does not eliminate the debt nor end the ‘business relationship’.  RTN Federal Credit Union has received no payments on this loan since 2010.  Collections efforts continued into 2014 by either RTN Federal Credit Union staff, or its agents.   In the original loan documents, Member consented to allowing RTN Federal Credit Union to pull full credit reports.

RTN Federal Credit Union contacted its credit bureau vendor to have the last 7/1 inquiry removed from the customers' credit report. With the proper documentation, RTN was informed by its credit bureau vendor that the inquiry can be removed within thirty days. The pulled credit reports did not...

produce a change in the customers' credit scores. If the customers are questioned about the multiple inquiries by another lender before the credit bureau agencies can remove the 7/1 inquiry, RTN can provide a letter to the customers stating the credit inquiries on 6/21, 6/23, 7/1 and 7/1 by RTN are all for the same preapproval application.

In an effort to resolve this matter we have tried to call the member using the phone number provided in the Revdex.com complaint. We would like to ascertain exactly what the ‘inaccuracies’ are. So far we have not heard back from the member.   We have also checked the credit file again today, and it still shows ‘No Record Found’, which in his original complaint directly to us, was the resolution he was seeking.
