shaved downShe was happy with the end result and scheduled a second visit
The second visit was to have the dogs bathed and blown dryShe was happy and scheduled a third visitWhen she came in she explained the dogs were matted heavily due to swimming in her mother's pond and digging in the sand and rolling in itWe looked over the dogs and I showed her the matting and explained we may not be able to save the dogs coat and need to shave down again, like we did on the first visit
I explained the fee for matting removal, if we were not able to save the coats
She returned to pick up her dogs, before I called to let her know I was finishedShe was very upset that Izzy had to be shaved, even though I reviewed it before she left the dogs to be groomedShe then said that her dogs have never been shaved, however this was not true because I shaved them down the first time and we took a photo of her dogs and shared it on our Facebook page, as we do with most of the dogs who visit the Spa
She said that her husband will be upset and her daughter will cry when she sees the dogWhen I rang up the services, she tossed the money at meShe went over to the wall where her dog's leads were hung and tore the hooks off the wall and slammed open the door and went out to the parking lot
I followed her out to the parking lot because she had not taken her dog's collars, but she said she did not want them
After she left she texted and I responded that we had shaved the dog the first time and sent her the photo of the dogs when she held them up along our bubble wallShe told me to never text her again and at that point we never have communicated
There is no means to rectify a dog's hair that is mattedIt has to be shaved for the dog's safetyShe was not double charged rather she was charged a matting service fee, because it takes much longer to perform this serviceIt is unfortunate that *** *** took to vandalism of the Spa all because she had not prevented the severe matting of her dogsWe can't change how a pet owner cares for their dog but we can make the dog's coat be able to be restored by grooming or shaving when the circumstances require it
We have the photos of her dog the first visit after we had to shave her dogs down in addition, we have photos of the matting that had to be removed from her dogs coats, the vandalism to our spa and the two collars that she did not want to take with her
