The original call was for a leak on the floor coming from the toiletI (***) went out and found a leak on the fill valve at the bottom of the toiletAfter the toilet fill valve was installed, we waited and tested itThere was still a leakHomeowner than told me that they had removed the
whole tank to install the fill valve, and I noticed that the leak was coming from the bolts where the tank was improperly installedI then did not charge any additional charges to try and help her with the costI then noted that the water would stay running due to the flapperI explained to her that she could do it if she did not want to pay anything else because she kept saying she could not afford to payI do have to emphasis that this call was for a leak on the outside of the toilet but in order to make this repair I had to redo the fill valve due to improper installation by homeownerI did not replace the fill valve because it was brand newI did have to adjust the water level, due to the homeowner not knowing how to do itHomeowner did call again because the flapper was leakingI agreed to buy the flapper and install and only charge for the flapper itselfI did not charge the homeowner a fee for installing the flapperAnd as the homeowner agreed upon these terms I installed itAt that time I also informed her that the original call was for a leak on the external part of the toiletThat leak was repaired and there are no leaks currentlyAt that time I sent *** to make sure the flapper did not need to be adjustedWhich he said it was working properlyBefore he left he flushed the toilet about times with the customer thereAnd again there was no charge for this visitI received a call yesterday from the customer saying that there was no water in the tankI explained to the customer that a fee would be charged this time because the problem is not from the initial leak that was repairedAnd I received a threat from the customer saying that I would regret doing thisWhich I then told her if there was a leak on the floor or something wrong that I repaired I would gladly fixI had already been out twice without chargingI tried to explain to the customer that the fill valve could possible be badBut since I did not charge to replace the fill valve, my charge was to correct the external leak, I explained to customer that there would be a charge to replace the fill valve due to a faulty part that I did not provideCustomer then got upset because she thinks my warranty for the external leak should cover the replacement of fill valve that she purchased and installed incorrectlyI did everything I could to assist this customer in fixing her toilet***'s Plumbing Services can not be at fault for a faulty part that was purchased by the customerThere is currently no leaks on the floor which was the original customer complaint
