They had an RV advertised for nightly rent and right after so made the reservation, they called and said that the RV was not available for renting and that it was only that cheap if you did by the month. Then they were supposed to refund my money, but then come to find out the refund company won’t refund the money for over a week and that’s only if they decide they want to refund the money back. They are rude and will not accommodate anyone even when it’s the company’s fault. Also said they sent an email about processing the refund, but no email was ever sent.
We are in receipt of a letter dated March 2nd 2020 in reference to a dispute initiated by Lynda Singleton. In response to said dispute we feel that Ruby’s Landing had done all that we could to try to resolve this before it was brought to your attention. We noticed a reservation made on the said unit (***), and a deposit was made via our website reservation system. Unfortunately this unit should not have been available. A system error marked the unit available after the previous renters left the unit as a long time rental. When one is in a long term rental the prices are different than the daily rentals. This unit was still in long term rental status when *** made the reservation. This was explained to *** when we called her on 3/2/2020 at 8:45am. We offered the unit to *** at the regular daily price. *** immediately became irate and hung up on us. *** called us back at 11:23am, still irate and demanded her refund immediately. We reminded *** that the refund was already initiated and an email was sent to her email address. At this point the refund is out of our hands as it goes through a credit card company. This process can take 5-7 days. We have contacted the credit card company and the charge was not processed since they saw the refund was made a few hours after the initial reservation was made.
We have attached copies of the initial reservation along with the refund.
