My roommate and I viewed a property that Mary manages. We liked it, filled out our application, gave her our application fee and security deposit of $1,650. She told us that is what she needed to make sure that we would get the place. She called the next morning stating that our credit check went through and she would like to meet us to sign the lease. We told her we would need 24 hours to review the lease and do a walk though of the apartment. Also, my roommate was out of town so we could not do it until the following day. She said that if we did not sign the lease that day she would see other applicants, which we found strange. Then through a series of bizarre emails she conveyed to us that if we did not sign the lease immediately and meet with her at very specific time frame we would not be allowed to rent the apartment. This was both surprising and unsettling, the only conclusion is that she knows how bad the property and the lease would be for us and tried to bully us into signing something. After trying to reason as best we could with this obviously unbalanced individual we eventually were not allowed to to rent the property. The entire process was completely unprofessional, time consuming, and ridiculous. She is hands down the worst/craziest person I have encountered in awhile. If you can avoid doing business with her please do, you have been warned.
