February 3, 2016Let me first say that it disappointments me that property owner felt the need to notify the Revdex.com regarding this matterAlso, I'd like to be clear that my company performed extensive repairs to the first floor of property due to fire and water damage from the property next doorPart of the scope of work performed was the complete replacement of the kitchen and countertopThis countertop was not damaged by my crew during the replacement of the garbage disposal as is suggested in the owner's claimI'd like to offer my response to the owners accusations in her claim.Firstly, the owner and family had lived in their home for weeks before my company or myself heard anything about a problem with the countertopI cannot honestly say whether the countertop was damaged during installation or by the owner or her family after our crew had leftHowever, that was not a problem and I did not argue with the ownerOur company had been in business since and has never had a complaint like thisWe are a very reputable builder and we perform a large amount of work in the owner's neighborhoodWe've built over homes and have excellent relationships with our buyers and renters throughout the city and SuburbsI agreed to replace the top, it was an easy decision! I know for sure the damage did not happen when the garbage disposal was replaced because we knew about the countertop damage prior to going to the home and replacing the disposal(I've attached a picture of the damaged countertop for your reference) The damage to the countertop in no way impacted the usability of the owner's countertop or kitchenHowever, I agreed to replace countertop even though we didn't know how the damage occurredAgain, I Wasn't making a big deal about itI just wanted a happy customer and move onto the next customer.I made it clear to the owner that my company's manpower was spread very thin for a few weeks, but the countertop would be replacedThe owner was fine with thatA few weeks passed and I sent Angie, an employee, to see the owner in late October and explain to her we would be back to replace the top in the beginning of the year Angie reassured the owner that it would be in the beginning of the year and the owner agreed that the timing would be fine.I’ve had multiple phone calls with the owner and multiple emails with her daughters throughout the renovationWe've also been in contact several times throughout the last months and I’ve even sent an employee to the home and assured her that we would be back and replace the countertopTherefore, I completely disagree and take issue with the owner's accusation that I did not respond to any of her inquiries, phone calls or lettersNeither my company nor I ever did anything to imply that the countertop would not be replacedIn fact, it couldn't have been clearer that we were going to replace the countertop. The countertop has been replaced and completely repaired as of today February 3, It just happened that I received your letter today on my deskMy office received it January 28, 2016, but I had not read it until this afternoon as I was out of town for a few daysMy point is that this letter and the owners claims and accusations in the letter to the Revdex.com had nothing to do with the countertop replacementThe countertop replacement was scheduled and completed as soon as I could free up an installation crewIt was installed and completed exactly according the commitment I made with the owner.I am truly saddened that the owner felt the need to contact the Revdex.com and yourselfMy company is dedicated to customer service and always has beenCould you please educate me on the proper actions I must take to have this claim removed from my company’s record with the Revdex.com as I have never been down this road?Thank you for your attention to this mater.Regards,Tony R

Also, I'd like to be clear that my company performed extensive repairs to the first floor of property due to fire and water damage from the property next door. Part...

of the scope of work performed was the complete replacement of the kitchen and countertop. This countertop was not damaged by my crew during the replacement of the garbage disposal as is suggested in the owner's claim. I'd like to offer my response to the owners accusations in her claim.Firstly, the owner and family had lived in their home for weeks before my company or myself heard anything about a problem with the countertop. I cannot honestly say whether the countertop was damaged during installation or by the owner or her family after our crew had left. However, that was not a problem and I did not argue with the owner. Our company had been in business since 1975 and has never had a complaint like this. We are a very reputable builder and we perform a large amount of work in the owner's neighborhood. We've built over 100 homes and have excellent relationships with our buyers and renters throughout the city and Suburbs. I agreed to replace the top, it was an easy decision! I know for sure the damage did not happen when the garbage disposal was replaced because we knew about the countertop damage prior to going to the home and replacing the disposal. (I've attached a picture of the damaged countertop for your reference) The damage to the countertop in no way impacted the usability of the owner's countertop or kitchen. However, I agreed to replace countertop even though we didn't know how the damage occurred. Again, I Wasn't making a big deal about it. I just wanted a happy customer and move onto the next customer.I made it clear to the owner that my company's manpower was spread very thin for a few weeks, but the countertop would be replaced. The owner was fine with that. A few weeks passed and I sent Angie, an employee, to see the owner in late October and explain to her we would be back to replace the top in the beginning of the year 2016. Angie reassured the owner that it would be in the beginning of the year and the owner agreed that the timing would be fine.I’ve had multiple phone calls with the owner and multiple emails with her daughters throughout the renovation. We've also been in contact several times throughout the last 6 months and I’ve even sent an employee to the home and assured her that we would be back and replace the countertop. Therefore, I completely disagree and take issue with the owner's accusation that I did not respond to any of her inquiries, phone calls or letters. Neither my company nor I ever did anything to imply that the countertop would not be replaced. In fact, it couldn't have been clearer that we were going to replace the countertop. The countertop has been replaced and completely repaired as of today February 3, 2016. It just happened that I received your letter today on my desk. My office received it January 28, 2016, but I had not read it until this afternoon as I was out of town for a few days. My point is that this letter and the owners claims and accusations in the letter to the Revdex.com had nothing to do with the countertop replacement. The countertop replacement was scheduled and completed as soon as I could free up an installation crew. It was installed and completed exactly according the commitment I made with the owner.I am truly saddened that the owner felt the need to contact the Revdex.com and yourself. My company is dedicated to customer service and always has been. Could you please educate me on the proper actions I must take to have this claim removed from my company’s record with the Revdex.com as I have never been down this road?Thank you for your attention to this mater.Regards,Tony R
