I refused goods because of excess fees. Paid [redacted], refunded [redacted]. I ordered [redacted] worth of goods. With shipping it put it up to[redacted]. Upon attempted delivery they wanted another [redacted]. I refused as this increased the price of the goods [redacted]. In total I paid $147 but Ruggers only refunded[redacted]. I contacted the company in email. No response. I contacted them by phone and he promised to contact me. No response. The order date was [redacted] See below. I'm sorry but I am returning this. UPS wanted[redacted] in fees and that raises the price about ** percent. I'm not willing to pay such a significant amount on an order that was only [redacted]. I refused it. If I had known this I wouldn't have ordered it. Business Response This order was shipped to [redacted] in Canada. Per our webpage, customers, particularly those in foreign countries may be assessed taxes, duties and processing fees by their governments at the port of entry. It also states that the cost of returning goods to us for return or exchange is the responsibility of the customer. It appears that [redacted]'s order was assessed duties, taxes and brokerage fees. When presented with this bill, he refused the package which was returned back to our warehouse. At that time we refunded his order minus the shipping. [redacted] did call and I spoke with him personally. I promised to look into how UPS/Canada Customs arrived at the final bill. Unfortunately, I have been unable to obtain this information from UPS as the file has been closed. Even if I was able to ascertain the breakdown of the charges, we would not have been able to refund his entire payment because he refused the shipment. If he had accepted the order and the amount billed to him by customs was incorrect, we could have obtained the documentation and appealed the matter to UPS/Canada customs. Unfortunately he chose to refuse the shipment incurring shipping charges in both directions. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with,
