Mrs*** has asked my company, (Rui building and Construction) to help her completed a renovation on a United at *** St, ***Before we start the renovation, we have met with Mrs*** in our showroom consulting ideas and
materials she wanted to use for her renovationAll the material we used for Mrs***'s renovations were handpicked by Mrs *** herselfBefore she pick out the materials we have went through varieties of products and materials from our showroomWith the material she pick the estimate for renovation comes up to $including taxThen Mrs*** started to bargain with us while mentioning she was recommend by a Real Estate agent *** ***, therefore we give her a discount of $After everything is settled we come to an agreement of $+ tax ( Have the sales order # and payment history)
With the satisfaction with Mrs*** we started the project by collecting a down payment of $on ( 1/3/14)We start the renovation on the 7th of January and completed on the 27th of JanuaryDuring this three week period Mrs*** has stopped by "everyday" giving a full inspection of what we were doing each dayAnd yet she did not mention or complain anything regarding the paint spill on the carsShe was very satisfied what she sees every dayWith everything going smoothly, Mrs*** order a Microwave online and wanted us to installedWe usually charge an installation fees for microwave but we did it for freeWhen the deliverer person delivers the microwave to the united there were no packing of the microwave or boxing of itThe microwave was just in the foam plastic bagWhen we take the foam off there was already a dent on the microwave
On January 27, We completed everything and clean up all project debris and the house and contacted Mrs*** for the last inspection of the project before collecting the last paymentDuring the inspection Mrs*** were unsafely with the microwave, drywall ( the drywall was not smooth, which we only paint the drywall we did not build the house) and the cleanup we did She sent an email that day addressing these issues and also giving me a call telling me these issues over the phone as whileI then immediately sent two worker over the very next day to her place to clean up the house again and including fixing the issues she mention to me
After we completed her request she still refuse to pay us the last payments included a few item she ask us to help her purchase(Shower doors and toilet) for her additional job at her placeThen she comes up with complainant with the material we use, the price we give her, the work we done and the adjustment we have made Most of all the paint spill on the carWe did the paint before we did everything else and yet she was there every single day and didn't even complaint anything about a paint spill on the carSome of the complaint weren't reasonable ( complaining on the price we give her, that price were came to an agreement)
I think Mrs*** is refusing and not will to pay the last payment that is why she is coming up with all these complaintThere were no complaints at all while we were working there and she was there every single dayNow its time for her to pay she's unsatisfied with everything we have done
The total project was $+ tax, we have collect two payment from Mrs*** $on ( 1/3/14) and $on ( 1/7/14) with the remain balance of $plus additional job we have done for herShower door ($190) Toilet (449.66) Repairing bathroom wall $
Mrs*** still own my company a "TOTAL BLANCE OF $6239.66" and yet she refuse to pay the last payment but also email DEMENED a refund of 30% of the project ($+ tax) and yet threating me that her husband is a friend with the head of the legal department of City & County of Honolulu ( Ms*** ***) to have a full investigation on our company
I have never seen a customer like Mrs*** in the past of years of doing businessThreating and disparaging my company after I have completed the project for her

It is again, extremely important to correct some of Mr*** *** non-factual statements in his response, but at the same time it critical to advise that it was always my intent to pay in full, but considering the issues faced I am now having to determine cost to rectify with other contractors and believe from initial estimates that this could be more than the $outstandingWhy should I or any person pay for substandard work and then pay more to fix this poor work
The factual corrections are:
The microwave purchased from *** *** was in perfect condition when we received it and "IF" it was damaged, then why would they install when this was neither included in the quote nor requested and why wouldn't they have reported before installingThe microwave was delivered to the apartment on 25th January
Mr Rui Xie says he was there "nearly ALMOST every day" and yet I did not see him, strange when I was there most daysI am seeking information from the building manager on CCTV footage for the front door and building and property sign in register to try and validate Mr Rui Xie's comment that he was there nearly ALMOST every dayHis response "No time did he arrange weekly or final inspection" from her responseThis was extremely wrong -Question - then please outline the dates you met with me and the final inspection to disprove my comments
The lanai work was to consist of the removal of outdoor carpet and painting of lanai floorThis work actually occurred on the morning of 22nd January (carpet removal) and painting in the afternoon (this did not commence on January 7th)In fact the worked that commenced on January 7th - was the removal of the kitchen cupboard and wall between kitchen and hallwayThey also could not have done the painting of lanai as he states, as his workers used this area to store the fridge, oven etcuntil all the ceiling was removed and the painting of rooms completed
On approxJanuary 8th or 9th, the workers then started to remove the popcorn ceilings, which consisted of all rooms in the apartment (living room, bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and hallway)The building manager actually called me at approx4.30pm on the 22nd January and reported the paint on the car and other mess, and I asked him go see the workers immediatelyThe manager immediately went and saw the workers and the next morning he emailed me with pictures of the paint on the car and the mess coming into the building and the elevator and I provide proof of this from the manager's, email header as below and as per the full report to Revdex.com with all photos:

Mr Rui Xie confirm he sent workers - his comments "Yes, the foreman has answered that he doesn't know how to fixed it because Mrs*** has request unreasonable requested of fixing the problemThis is a renovation it is not constructing a new house." - He is 100% correct, it is not a new house, but a major significant issue is the kitchen sinkThe kitchen sink ordered was brand new (supplied by Rui Building Supply and Construction) and when installed was not only discoloured but showing RUST signs within days of installation - Why is this an unreasonable request - Rusting/discoloured sink - the workers tried to clean with Diamond cleanerWhen I asked the workers they said they didn't know how to fix as they would have to remove the full stone top bench and replace the sink - they said they didn't know how to do
Mr Rui Xie, also commented (eg: How are you suppose to spent $on a product hoping that is the same product that is worth $500?!), but he supplied the products and it is not that I expected a $product for $100, I expected that the quality of what we received was what we saw in the showroom - not a discoloured/rusting sink, different colour timber cupboard doors and poor quality finishThe quote was for $24,and I expect to have received that quality, and now I am in a position where I am having to engage other contractors to rectify, at additional cost
Mr Rui Xie, also comments "The sales order is a legal contract all services and items listed on the sales order which you have examines and agree to and then you paid the down payment, which make this sales order a legal contract" If this is a legal contract, then please advise why the required documentation such as: Rui Supply and Construction we to provide me with a copy of "Disclosures of the information required by the State Contractors"This would have included a section called HRS 672E, neither of which were provided at his showroom, or at the apartment on January 7thMr Rui Xie, makes no reference to the provision of this required documentation only that the sales order is a legal contract - so is the provision of these other documents and completing the work to mutual satisfaction
Mr Rui Xie's, final comment on his response "I want to resolve this as soon as possibleTherefore I am willing to take a step back, Mrs*** still own me a balance of $and I want at least $to cover the material and the worker salaries", what about the costs I am going to have to incur to rectify the areas that are substandard, including the removal of the stone top bench to replace the sinkMr Rui Xie is prepared to lose $but I still have to have all the items addressed
As can be seen by the detailed pictorial report I have provided to both Revdex.com and department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs there are significant issues that need rectification and as such believe it best to allow Deptof Commerce and Consumer Affairs to undertake a full investigation and make a decision on this complaintThe offer of a reduction made month after, will not cover the rectification expenses as outlined in the reportsI did not undertake this renovation without the intent of paying as have already paid $19,this is NOT $and all I want is the quality shown at the showroom - not mismatched timber colours, rusting sink, non- finished cupboards (trims and seals) and poor painting - ALL items are detailed in the full report on Revdex.com website with pictures
My final point is that on most days I was at the property to check progress and only in the first few days did I see MrRui XieI repeatedly addressed issues with HIS workers, and also called him at approx9am on the 27th to ask to complete a final inspection - Mr Rui Xie's response - if you are happy with the work, come to my office to pay final balance and collect keys - if you are not happy I will send my workers, why wouldn't undertake a final in person inspection
All I want is the quality as promised and shown at the showroomAt no point has Mr Rui Xie, EVER offered to come and do a personal inspection, instead his responses and debt collection threats

Once again I want to mention that we done all the work beside on your idea's and yet you say you have all the intention to pay in full, While I don't see that
Now to correct your Factual Statements, "why would they install the microwave when it is not on the quote nor requested" Sure it is not on the quote, But you REQUESTED to install the microwave, And at first I told you that its going to cost you extra, but you ask us to install it for you for freeSo we did, my worker's responsibility were to install the microwave and yet they wont ask where the microwave if brought second hand or brand new, they are not going to go around checking out the microwave, their responsibility is to installed itAlso the microwave wasn't delivered with a box
When you said " The Kitchen sink show rust sign and discolored, I have send my foreman over to check it out and he said it was only dirty and then they clean it up for youAll the sink we have in our showroom are stainless steel, Which it will not rustWe wouldn't sell you a sink if we know if it's going to rustI have done many home renovation and build many house over the years and these are top quality and these quality are beside on my showroom quality and yet they are very satisfy with it
I can go on with the comments, but I don't see this going to go anywhereThis is just going in a circleI did have intention to solve this problem and also took a step backBut going around write back and forward is not going to go anywhereOnce again I want to solve this problem, and yet I have took a step back but I don't see any intention of you wanted to solve this problemThis is wasting my time and will be my last response( You didn't pay the last payment for what I fairly did for my part of the work and yet you refused to pay , I have to right to ask debt collection to collect the last payment)
