Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:First off I have had professionals examine my hair since this occurred The damage was done in appointments with her I saw Ashley around times I did not come to her with damage I have been having my hair highlighted for years without any problems The first damage occurred in a full highlight when I had breakage at the nape of the neck which I believe was caused by not rinsing the bleach out of my hair thoroughly I remember trying to lift up for her to rinse and she avoided directly rinsing the area because she said "She didn't want to get me wet." When I got home I noticed the breakage underneath and a chalky white substance I mentioned the breakage to her the next (last) appointment and suggested that we not do the underneath I have always kept my hair conditioned which is even more reason that I should not have had this happen with a licensed professional On this last appointment with her I noticed that the dryer seemed to be hotter than usual and after I had been under for what seemed like a very long time, she checked my hair and said that it needed longer I trusted her and didn't expect the damage When she dried my hair she even asked "is your hair getting thinner?" When I got home, I examined my hair closely by pulling it up, and you could see the broken off hair The damage was even more apparent after I washed it the first time because no amount of my conditioner at home was going to help My family noticed the damage That is when I went to a different salon and called Ashley the next day requesting a refund Why would I go back to anyone who subjected my hair to such damage and allow them to continue along the same course? I have had to care for my hair very differently since this happened Although it is now coming back with the balance and filling out again, this was significant damage Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:First off I have had 2 professionals examine my hair since this occurred.  The damage was done in 2 appointments with her.  I saw Ashley around 5 times.  I did not come to her with damage.  I have been having my hair highlighted for 5 years without any problems.    The first damage occurred in a full highlight when I had breakage at the nape of the neck which I believe was caused by not rinsing the bleach out of my hair thoroughly.  I remember trying to lift up for her to rinse and she avoided directly rinsing the area because she said "She didn't want to get me wet."  When I got home I noticed the breakage underneath and a chalky white substance.  I mentioned the breakage to her the next (last) appointment and suggested that we not do the underneath.  I have always kept my hair conditioned which is even more reason that I should not have had this happen with a licensed professional.  On this last appointment with her I noticed that the dryer seemed to be hotter than usual and after I had been under for what seemed like a very long time, she checked my hair and said that it needed longer.  I trusted her and didn't expect the damage.  When she dried my hair she even asked "is your hair getting thinner?"  When I got home, I examined my hair closely by pulling it up, and you could see the broken off hair.  The damage was even more apparent after I washed it the first time because no amount of my conditioner at home was going to help.  My family noticed the damage.  That is when I went to a different salon and called Ashley the next day requesting a refund.  Why would I go back to anyone who subjected my hair to such damage and allow them to continue along the same course?  I have had to care for my hair very differently since this happened.  Although it is now coming back with the balance and filling out again, this was significant damage.

I am a self employed hair stylist at rumors hair salon and responding to complaint   I want to start off saying I do remember this consultation. I have been doing hair for almost 10 years now and want to back up my small business. If I ever have any complaints the first thing I...

try to do is make everything right. My clients are my walking advertisement so I want them all to be happy. I had this client book with me 3 times and every time she did ask about deep conditioner. Each time she already had it in her hair when she came to salon. I know this because each appointment her hair felt like product and she told me it was a deep container. That being  said, from what I know about deep conditioner, you only use them 2 maybe 3 times a month.  I recommend Kenra deep conditioner.  After evaluating her hair I went and proceeded to do only a partial hi lights color service to save the Integrity of her hair. Going by what she said and the products she uses in her hair, told her to keep doing what she is doing. When she left the salon she seemed happy and paid me and I thought everything was fine. A week later she called and demanded a full refund after going to another salon without letting me see her hair or even talking to me first. I told her over the phone that if she would have come back to me or at least let me look at her hair, I would have fixed it or given her money back.  I cannot do anything about it after she already went to another salon. Of course, your competition will tell any customer that you did a poor job and their technique is better. She also told me that I did not take good care of her hair, but I did everything I could to help her very long fine hair. I specifically told her that I always use heat protectant when I dry and I also use Lanza trauma treatment on all hair colored clients.  I only use salon quality products on my clients. I want the best for my clients. I think My suggestions were accurate, she just didn't like what I had to say. Sadly, I cannot please everyone, especially if they are unwilling to take a professional's advice.  I stand beside my products and stand behind my work with each and every client. I love what I do and will do anything I have to do to please my customers.    [redacted]
