Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.In Runamuk's response to you they are stating that we never informed them of the damage of the ATV's, which is a lieWe towed AtV's back and provided Runamuk our contact information and wanted them to contact the parties involved if there was any damageThey never contacted the parties involved and only were in contact with me, [redacted] ***, who made the reservation and never rented a machine from themThey also provided you with the waivers, and you will find that I never signed a waiver.With that said, we have hired a lawyer as all the invoices have been coming thru in my name even though we met with Runamuk and provided them further details and contact information on July 7th which they have not mentioned in your responsePlease review the letter as it includes further details and information about our reservationAt this time they have not responded to the letter or contacted the parties with the damaged vehiclesThey have kept everyone in our entire parties security deposit which is breaking a WI law, and identified in the lawyers letterLet me know if you need further information regarding my rejection of their response Regards, [redacted] ***

Issue 1: Shortly after starting out on their journey there was a machine that stopped workingThey called us and explained their situation and we dispatched a team to go recover themUnfortunately they were not were they said that they were so we did not find themThey ended up towing the machine
back to our locationThey are claiming that upon returning our "mechanic" stated we sent the machine out with no oilFirst, we did not have a mechanic on duty that day at that location, and second, upon inspection the machine did have oilThis was unfortunate that the machine stopped working, but is a part of the industryIt happens.Issue 2: They did have another machine sustain a broken rim while in their careThey admit that they were off trail and a rock got lodged between the rim and brake systemWe did swap them to an ATV, not another UTV, because that is all we had availableThis happened while the machine was in their care, and as stated in our Rental Agreement, they are responsible for damage that happens to the machines while in their care. Issue 3: They returned the remaining machines at the end of the dayThey never indicated to any of our staff that they sustained any damage or had any other issuesUpon our inspection of the machines, of them would not start and their was water in the intake and oilUpon further inspection it is apparent that these machines had ingested water into the engineWhen we asked the Mirr group about the inspection they admitted to "swamping" the machinesIn further conversations with members of the group they indicated that members "tipped" the machines into bodies of waterWe have multiple emails, letters, and conversations with members of the group admitting to the damageTheir argument is that they should only have to pay to have the machines "repaired" and allegedly received estimates from "mechanics" that a machine that ingests water could be repaired for a few hundred dollarsIn accordance with our Rental Agreement, which the members of the group signed, we reserve the right to make a determination if a machine can be repaired to a level that makes it safe to rent in the futureIt is the assertion of our BRP certified technician that these machines are no longer safe for future rental due to the nature of the damageThere are any number of issues that can and will arise when dealing with a machine that has been submerged and ingested water into the engine; i.ewiring, cylinder corrosion, bent rod, etcWhen a machine is not "rentable" it is considered a total lossTherefore, we retained the security deposit and gave the group the option to pay the remainder of the damages, or they could replace our machine with a current model year (per their signed Rental Agreement) and we would return their Security Deposit. It is always an unfortunate situation when a machine, or machines, sustains damageDue to the nature of our business, it does happen, and we have policies and procedures in place to protect ourselvesWe always try to work with a rental party in these instances, but this group, although they never dispute their actions that resulted in damaging the machines in question, are refusing to take responsibility for their actionsAnd now we find ourselves having to defend our actions.
