My Audi Awas in an accident in December of I had no other choice but to tow it with the company as my car was immobile on their contracted part of the Belt PkwyThey towed the car to their shop and the next day when I showed up with my own tow truck to get it to a trusted shop of mine, they refused to hand over the carAfter much arguing, they made me pay $IN CASH ONLY to get my car out before they close for the holidays I sent up the STAMPED receipt from Runway Towing to my insurance company for reimbursement, but a month later found out that they billed my insurance company as well I went into the main location with the original STAMPED receipt for my cash payment ALONG with my insurance payment proof of the check being cleared They refused to give me cash back and called it "money laundering." I was told the accounting team would look into it and give me a call backI never got a call, but called almost everyday for over a monthEvery singl

My car was towed by them on 517 This business charged me 490 dollars for the tow. I picked up my car a day later on 517. They charged me me 75$ for 3 day storage, 125 for the tow, 70$ just so I could leave off the lot, a 50$ flat bed tow fee and other "fee" charges. When I made mention of this they gave me a hard time and didn't want to adjust my bill. After they gave me a new bill for 400$ saying that "was the the best they could do" I wanted my car so I was just going to pay then they said I had to pay cash. I found it strange then asked more questions in witch they changed my bill again to 300$ and didnt want to give me a copy of the ticket the tow driver gave me when he took my car in with I was told the tow was only 125. I paid the money to get my car and felt like I was ripped off by robbers who had no professionalism, change my bill three times and it made me out to be incompetent. Businesses like this should not be allowed to be open.

Yesterday, while I was at the airport dropping my aunt to her terminal my care was disabledI called multiple tow companies to remove my vehicle and transport it homeI was then informed that no private tow companies are authorized to conduct business on airport property and that the airport has their own towing company that assists disabled vehiclesI was then charged $dollars to tow my vehicle out of the airport to the nearest gas station which was less than miles awayWhere I then could call another tow company to pick up my vehicle That alone was ludicrousBeing that this company Runway towing has a monopoly on all towing jobs from the airport they are overpricing their servicesI then payed another company $to tow my vehicle from the shell gas station in Flushing to the BronxThe ratio of price to service for the two tows are inhumaneFurthermore I was additionally charged a storage fee for my vehicle once it was dropped at a customer parking lot in the gas st

Review: The towing company towed a truck from the scene of an accident back to their facility upon the request of the NYC police department due to its unsafe condition to drive.

We visited the tow company within two hours of truck being towed to pay the bill and the company verbally gave us quote to pay the bill and would not furnish an estimate of charges until

the bill was paid.

The charges they verbally gave us were three times higher than the market rate for that tow however they wanted us to pay it first before a receipt is issued.

we verbally explained to both [redacted] and [redacted] that this fee was much higher than the prevailing rate and that their charges were not justified based on the tow.

We have attempted to speak with [redacted] or [redacted] to amicably resolve the issue however we have not been able to do so.Desired Settlement: We request a written estimate for our review as well as a price that compares to market prices given to us from other tow companies.

We require a phone call from Runway to resolve this issue

Review: I had two trucks that were stored at Runaway Towing's yard for pick up. The trucks were purchased by an agent from Virginia and were supposed to be delivered at a different location by a towing company, delivered to Runaway Towing. My complaint is the amount they charged me for two days storage.I was charged $90 for administrative fee $50 for pull out fee $200 for storageDesired Settlement: I believe a refund has to be issued for the administrative fee and pull out fee.

To Whom It May Concern;

On August **, 2013 at about 12pm noon a driver by the name of [redacted] came into Runway Towing Corp office inquiring about storing a 2001 Ford F-150 Pick Up and a 2000 Dodge Ram. He was supposed to deliver those vehicles but could not due to the fact that the customer who purchased the vehicles had been incarcerated and he needed a place to store both vehicles. Runway Towing Corp, [redacted] and [redacted] came to a verbal agreement that the charges would be as follows: $300.00 balance owed from customer, $45.00 Administration Fee, $25.00 Pull Out of the yard fee and

$50.00 per day of storage for each vehicle. Attached you will find the signature of the driver [redacted] as well as the name of his boss [redacted] whom gave the verbal authorization for these charges with the office manager [redacted] on August **, 2013 at 12pm noon.

Review: I was in an accident on the belt parkway and the car was towed by Runway towing. after getting the police repost and working with the insurance companies which took about 3 weeks the other parties insurance company accepts the responsibility and needs to inspect the car for an assessment, so I give them the number to Runway. They call me back and say that the towing company has no record of my car being there. I call Runway and they say that they are trying to locate my car, that they have a few lots and they are sending someone at that moment to find the car and they will contact the insurance company. 4 days go by and the insurance company calls me again and asks me if I heard anything about the car, I say no, and then they inform me that they cannot issue a settlement until they can inspect the car. I call back runway and they say they are still looking for the car, I call back again and I get the same runaround story. At this point I'm figuring they already destroyed the car and all I want are the license plates back. The person I spoke too said that he will look for the plates and get back to me and also email me the pictures of the car cause they always take picture of cars leaving the lot which confirms to me that they don't have the car anymore. I still have not gotten a call or email or anything!Desired Settlement: I want the license plates back so I can turn them in, this has been a huge headache.

Review: I had 2 different cars towed off the highway on 2 different days. Both times I was charged more then what I should have been charges. on the first tow I was charged $175.00 and the tow charge states that it is $125.00 for the first 10 miles I only went 3 miles. on the second tow I was charged $250.00 again for a service that was supposed to be $125.00. I contacted the company what happened and they informed me that the know they overcharged me but were not going to do anything about it....Desired Settlement: To be returned my money and to have it known that this company takes it upon themselves to charge whatever they feel like charging while people are put in an emergency situation..

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

I showed proof I paid $250 for the one tow and was only $125 according to his own bill. I only noticed the recipt after GMC told me that it was very expensive. On the other tow it only should have been 125 and they robbed me for $50 dollars that time a few months before. Also another lie I was never refunded anything. My recipts are reflecting what I paid.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
