Rural/Metro Corporation ("Rural/Metro") is in receipt of the December 4, 2015, correspondence from the Revdex.com ("Revdex.com"), which included a complaint by Patient A arising from an August 7, 2009, hospital transport with Rural/Metro of Northern Ohio, Inc., a subsidiary of Rural/Metro
Corporation and doing business as Rural/Metro AmbulancePlease note Rural/Metro asserts that information presented about Patient A's account is privileged and confidential, and not subject to disclosure outside of your officeFurther, because Patient A presented information about his account to your office, Rural/Metro asserts that any protections Patient A may have under HIPAA or the HITECH Act have been waived. Based on our review of Patient A's file, Patient A's insurance, *** *** ECS, was billed by Rural/Metro and *** *** ECS paid the majority of the patient's medical billTotal charges amounted to $The insurance carrier paid $The $unpaid balance was determined by the insurance carrier to be the patient's coinsurance and therefore was Patient A's responsibilityThe remaining $was written off by Rural/MetroBecause Patient A never paid the coinsurance portion of his bill as required by his insurance carrier, the account was eventually placed with a collection agency and sold thereafterAccordingly, Rural/Metro considers this matter closed. Sincerely, *** ** *** East Region Legal Counsel

To whom it may concern:                I have reviewed and investigated this complaint.  I have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and obtained the documentation confirming his payments.  We have closed this account with C[redacted] and have updated our...

records to reflect his account show a zero balance.  I am following this up with Mr. [redacted] by sending him and email and a confirmation letter of our actions for his records. Thank you,

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/02/04) */
Do to Floor covering (Carpet and Tile) that was still on the floor when our sales person quoted the job he was not able to see that the floor had not settled, but that it was originally poured at an uneven slop. Once our production team...

arrived we were able to see that it was not a settlement issue. Our Foreman at that time went over with said customer on what needed to be done to level floors. This entailed using a self leveling compound that is a two part mixture that runs $80 a bag. In which we used 26 bags for a total in material of $2080.00. The total of job was only $3928.00. With labor we were well over quoted price in which we were not asking for any more money. When we were completed with the the floor leveling costumer paid the final balance. By time our production team returned to our shop she had already sent an email stating how happy she was with the way everything looked and how professional are team was. We have already offered the customer a $800.00 credit and to come back and take care of any complaints in which she has denied.
OFFER:
We have already offered the customer a $800.00 credit
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2016/02/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The production team did not return directly to the shop. They went directly to a bar in which I observed them sitting at myself. The job was not completed. I am still not satisfied. However, the $800 credit has made the situation somewhat bearable. and note, the $800 credit is something I have had to go back and forth with this company on. It was not something they offered up. I have used my valuable time to fight for this for several weeks now. It is still not enough. This was a half job, half completed. and then over priced. Had I paid every cent quoted originally, they would have been happy to take every over paid cent. They are not professional and they are not honest.
