I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As far as now stating this is due to 1) an audit amount - we have never had to pay in for an audit for years priorIn fact, Rural actually cancelled our policy and we had been paid to dateNo fees were due The Two Rivers office (***) never returned my phone calls and he said he would check into the charges when I originally received the billTwo weeks later is when I phoned the woman in Madison who told me what I stated in my original complaintThere were no more bills received since thenIf this was in December 2015, it is now I first received a collection letter in January.I will accept Rural Mutual dropping this bill from my business name, that is not, and has not been owed
Regards,

We have reviewed Ms*** complaint. The premium that is due is related to two items 1) an audit that occurred on her CPP policy for the period of 12/30/14-12/30/-$and earned premium that is due on the CPP when Ms*** cancelled mid-term - $173.75. Both of these
items have been billed to Ms*** multiple times. We do not have a record of Ms*** contacting us regarding these issues. We are willing to arrange a payment plan to collect this amount due - Ms*** can contact our Customer Service Department at 1-877-219-9550. Thank you

We have contacted *** *** concerning his complaint. Our claims representative did contact Mr*** on September, 17th via phone and advised he was meeting with the contractor to reinspect the dwelling. This was done on September 19th. A verbal agreement on the
extent of damage and price of repairs was reached at that meeting. A revised contract from Pinnacle Construction for the repairs is pending
Claim representative *** *** spoke with Mr*** on September 22nd and encouraged Mr*** to push Pinnacle Construction for the revised contract. When Mr*** presents the revised document, payment will be issued for the repairs

We reject this explanation for a couple of reasons – mostly we feel the string of five companies involved in passing us off has not been addressed by coordination of Wisconsin/Illinois/Arizona. Why can’t all of the PDF email strings and letters sent to all these places be reviewed by one person? Also, Rural states that they asked for a gross income which they only verbally asked for a rough business income, and stated the inspector only asked other questions to make sure businesses didn’t overlap. A review of his photographs and notes (if he took any) will prove that each visit was on very different items – some of which didn’t relate to him at all. They also said a new invoice will be sent, even though I requested that myself over a month ago and still haven’t even seen that…Please let me know if I can provide all information to you at once, or how this string of companies can stop just passing the blame?[redacted]Kindschi Enterprises, LLC[redacted]

We apologize again for the experience that you had with the inspection process.  Because this policy is brokered and not written by Rural Mutual, we do not have the control over the carrier, the inspection company nor the sub-contracted inspector.  We have discussed this situation in length with our broker and have indicated that we are not satisfied with the professionalism of the sub-contractor that was used. You are correct, we only requested a rough estimate of your business income at the time that your renewal was being quoted.  We rely on your best estimate to accurately rate the renewal quote.  During the inspection a higher estimated income was given and the premium was adjusted accordingly.  The amount of gross receipts directly impacts the exposure on the policy.  After you submitted documentation of your actual income, we requested an adjustment based on that and the resulting decrease in premium was $7.  This was processed and the invoice and a statement was sent to your agent for delivery on 9/24/2014.  The agent sent the invoice, statement and an explanation on 9/25/2014.

The policy that is referenced is a renewal for a general liability policy that has been in place since 5/18/2010. The policy was placed through Rural Mutual’s brokerage company, Statewide Services Inc, with Nautilus Insurance Company.
The policy is rated on estimated gross annual receipts. In...

the past, the carrier did not request an inspection of the business after binding the policy. This year, an inspection was ordered. The inspector is a subcontractor of the inspection company. The insured has a number of different businesses and during the inspection, the inspector asked questions about the other businesses in an effort to determine if the policy covered the correct exposures. During that visit, our insured indicated that the total receipts were $28,000. Since the estimated gross receipts were given to the agent at the time of the renewal as $10,000, the carrier increased the gross receipts to $28,000 to more accurately reflect the exposure.
This increase resulted in our insured sending in documents showing actual gross receipts for the prior year. The actual gross receipts totaled $27,707. A request was made to change the receipts from $28,000 to $27,707 and the endorsement will be processed and sent to the insured.

We have reviewed the premium due on your policy and have agreed to waive the audit premium that was due which was $159 as previously identified.  As stated previously, we identified  the timeline of events around the billings on the Commercial Package Policy and the earned premium of $173.75 remains due.   Rural Mutual provided coverage for the period of  12/30/2016 - 6/15/2017 and had a claim occurred during that period Rural Mutual would have responded to the claim accordingly. Coverage was provided during this period and premium wad due.  If you have documentation that supports your complaint we are more than willing to review this information.  If you would like copies of the billings identified in our earlier response, please let us know.

Review: I purchased a home and have insurance through Rural Mutual. I have had it for over 7 years. The insurance was in my name and the bill went to the company- private gentleman that pays the bill. The insurance is figured into my house payment. Then last year I had some upgrades done to the home and called Rural Mutual and had the value of the home raised, hence the house insurance went up so then so did my house payment. Then last week I was robbed. I called the insurance company and they said that the house insurance had been rewritten and the personal property was not written in. I asked the lady on the other end of the phone why I was not told about this and she said that my name was off the insurance and off the bill. I own the home, the deed is in my name. My name should be on the insurance as the owner and the bill should go to the company- gentleman who holds the bank note. Then she said she had to go because someone had walked into the office and then she hung up on meDesired Settlement: By being covered for the stolen goods.

Review: On 7/27//14 Wisconsin Rapids suffered a hailstorm with up to ping pong ball sized hail. I promptly filed a claim with my insurance company for roof, siding, window, and personal damage suffered in this storm. An insurance adjuster ([redacted]) proceeded to come on premise without prior contact approximately 3 days later. The only indication anybody had been onsite was a business card left under a rock on my charcoal grill. I proceeded to contact [redacted], who took an additional 2 days to return my call. He provided no written report of damage or coverage. I was told to contact a contractor of my choice, get an estimate, return it to him and everything else would be handled by him. Upon having 2 different contractors inspect the property, both requested that I see an addition inspection with [redacted] because of the unknown damage Rural was willing to cover. I proceeded to contact [redacted] again, and arrange for an onsite visit again in my presence. Upon this inspection, I got a clearer understanding of what they were willing to cover, however I was still not provided with any written documentation to show the contractors. I have since signed a contract with Pinnacle Construction, and they have given [redacted] the required documentation to proceed with my claim.

After 2 weeks of hearing absolutely nothing, I and the contractors called [redacted] again to find a status update. I received a very unprofessional voice mail 9/3/14 stating specifically because he thought the quote was too high, he was not returning phone calls to the company, and that he is refusing to negotiate with the contracting company. He also made a statement that led me to believe he was trying to appoint or steer me toward another contractor. Since then, I have left a voice mail, and the contractors have also left voice mails and have received nothing in return for a response. I have now had over 3 weeks of inactivity due to this on my claim, and my home is still not repaired. I [redacted]'s superior, Benito, and have not received a response. Pinnacle (the contractors) have stated they talked to him, but have received no assistance.Desired Settlement: I feel it is fair to have a new adjuster appointed to the claim, finally have the claim settled or negotiated, a written apology from [redacted] and Rural Mutual for the disservice I have received, and if Rural intends to retain me as a customer, compensation on my next policy renewal.

Review: Our insurance agent sold us an add-on liability policy for our small petting zoo and pedal tractor businesses and only asked for rough incomes, premium paid and policy started in May, 2014. In June that company sent an inspector to our property, took pictures and asked for incomes on all of our businesses. No forms, no signatures, etc. Inspector came back again to get more pictures and ask more incomes - no paperwork again. Then sent us an updated premium add-on of $610.79 on 8/20/14. Used incomes (not the right ones)to "adjust" by over 60% this policy costs - after the fact of it now almost 3/4 thru year and additional cost can't be budgeted into businesses and both will probably have to close..Desired Settlement: Have add-in amount of $610.79 waived or covered by insurance agent for his mistake in not asking for documentation on exact gross income.Original policy cost of $978.50 was paid in May for year's coverage.
