Rushman Automotive Transmission Reviews (4)

We first talked to Mrs [redacted] and worked with her in May I am very sorry for her dis-satisfactionWe have always showed concern for her, her son, and her husbandAny (and I repeat ANY) time they had a questions about a noise or a concern of any kind, we listened and addressed it with THEMWe rode with THEM, showed THEM what we heard, confirmed when an issue had nothing to do with the transmissionWe do not, as a general practice, write a new work order for checking noises (rattles, clunks, brake chirps.) Neither do we charge the customer, or impact them or their car in any wayFor this reason, no work order was written for those services and the [redacted] never indicated that they were not happy on any of their visitsMrs [redacted] states in the 3rd paragraph of her complaint, ' It has some issues from the original purchase some of which still remain'I see that her emergency brake has had a problem from the beginningI recall that Mrs [redacted] ' s son brought her car back over to have us re-check the 'transmission' noiseWe rode with him to confirm the noise and ONLY heard a brake noise on the left rearThe Emergency Brake system uses the rear brakesThe noise was heard in that area of the car and this was confirmed with her sonThis noise was NOT a transmission issue, but a brake issueThe next time we heard from Mrs [redacted] , she indicated that her clutch was not workingShe said that it was NOT SLIPPINGShe indicated that she could not shift the car into gear, and made the assumption that the clutch or the transmission that was repaired must be the problemWe gladly checked her car out, only to find that the hydrolic system that operates the clutch had failed (NOTE - This is not the clutch, but a separate system that works the clutch itself)We explained what was actually going on what needed to be changed and did that repair in June This was a year after the original transmission and clutch work was completed (copy of Repair order #2126)please note that the labor was discounted from $to $per flatrate hour and gave an additional $off for that repairThis was done as a good will gesture due to the story of the many problems she had up to this pointWe heard from Mr [redacted] in NovemberHe indicated that 'The car is messed up' and 'She is upset'We (Rushman) had the car towed in and indicated to the customers that they were having it towed at our reduced cost and that if there was an issue, we would pay for the tow, but if no issue was found we expected reimbursement for the tow The car had no power due to the battery being disconnectedIn addition we found that the starter motor had been removed from the engineWe charged the battery, checked the starter, installed the starter and found that the engine had broken the timing chainThe broken timing gear could be seen inside of the valve coverWe showed Mr [redacted] the situation and gave him a piece of the gear from the valve coverMr [redacted] said that the car still had a warranty, but I told him that I believed that Ford warranty was 3/on the engine, unless I was mistakenEven if it was covered, they would need oil change maintenance recordsThe issue not being the fault of Rushman, Mr [redacted] indicated that he would settle up for the tow laterWe recieved a call from [redacted] Ford checking on what I found with the carThen [redacted] towing came and paid for the tow and indicated that the car was going to [redacted] Ford (RO #[redacted] 11/12/2014)We were notified by email from Revdex.com that Mrs [redacted] was very dis-satisfied with us over a bad timing chainShe indicates herself that this is a a problem which this type of car and Ford should recallWe would have much preferred a call from herI have called our parts supplier of the clutch that was replaced on 05/06/(Part #NU31706)The will give us another complete clutch kit But they need the damaged clutch (clutch disc, cover, and bearing) to examine for any warranty defect issueThe supplier also asked if I could tell if the clutch was abusedThey will send the parts I n question to the factory for their analysisWe are not clear as to what Mrs [redacted] believes that Rushman Automotive is responsible forThis is quite unfortunate that she was the victim of identity theft and is penalized unjustly with a high interest rate We cannot speak to what happened at [redacted] ***we also cannot speak to any of the other issues with the car when she bought it, however, we worked with the Extended warranty (Insurance) Company to have the clutch paid forPlease note that the $deductible she paid toward this was paid back to her by [redacted] *** (See copy of the $check that was sent to you) Rushman I s not responsible for the motor blowingor a part that has a manufacter's defectWhile writing this response [redacted] received a c a l l from Mrs [redacted] 's credit card Company asking about a $charge back Steve explained t o Mrs [redacted] ’s Card Holder that she had already recieved repayment from that deductable from [redacted] [redacted] Faxed a copy o f the check in which [redacted] had Paid the [redacted] sAgain, as an act of goodwill , we have made arrangements for a new clutch kit with the return of the damaged parts for inspectionIf she will only be satisfied with a refund of the $that she paid Rushman (for which she was already reimbursed by ***) we would be willing to return that money to her again as long as there is a documented audit traill through the credit card company or through the Revdex.com and there is no further retribution on RushmanPlease inform us if either-one of these is the direction preferredWe belqeve that both optlons are more than generous

December 15,2014To Whom It May Concern:My name is [redacted] and I am a loyal Ford consumerA purchase of a 2006Ford Mustang (VIN # [redacted] fiom [redacted] *** Morse Road inColumbus, OH has been nothing short of a complete nightmareAll the papers followingare supporting documentation of all of this that follows belowThis complaint starts with [redacted] and ends with Rushman Tmsmission.I purchased the used vehicle from them on January 13,Due to identity theft I ampaying a very high percentage on the loan through [redacted] (24.99% on$16,969.40=$34,660.08)The vehicle is valued through Kelly Blue Book and NADA tobe around $6,(at time of purchase it was around $8,463.00)If I should pay it offtoday would be paying almost $20,000.00, almost 3.5xs the blue book valueIf I were tomake all my payments it would be close to $35,000.00, almost 5xs the blue book valueIalso purchased an extended warranty on the vehicle fbr months or 150,miles for$2,I make monthly payments of $481.39, and they say the loan will be paid off in2018.I keep my vehicle very clean and in good conditionIt is maintained on a regular basisItgets regular maintenance, tune-ups, etc.It has had some issues from the original purchase, some of which still remainOne bigsafety issue was the emergency brake did not function properlyThey worked on it, it didnot solve the issue, and finally replaced the cable, and it still does not work properly andthe housing is still broken. Not to mention in March I was driving north with my family and had the cruisecontrol on, going at over 60mph the car shuts off in the middle of It then caught itselfand began to drive normwere headed for my Great Aunt's funeralWe immediatelypulled to the shoulder and called ***, their service department was closedWe didspeak with two males who advised us it was okay to continue to drive and to call themwhen we get back to Columbus to have them look at the vehiclePer the owner's manualthis is called ''Limp Mode".It has been completely repainted and a new seat and headliner from damages due to arepossession that should not have occurred (not to mention on both repossessions itemswere stolen out of my vehicle to a tune of over $on the first repossession; on thesecond time I learned to ask to get copies of papework so that nothing could be changedand also to document everything found to be an issue-including over $in bodydamage on the inside and outside (some parts still need replaced) and missing items inthe vehicle again(In November it went to Kreiger Ford Morse RdinColumbus, OH to fix the body damage and address the interior seat and headlinerdamages that was not like that before they towed the vehicleThey had my vehicle for-over a month to get almost everything fixed; luckily they provided me a loaner.) I had topay my $deductible and my insurance covered the rest(I also filed a policereport on each issue-for the November report # is I2222385cpdand for May 2013report # is [can supply if needed copy of the reports] both were filed against [redacted] located at [redacted] ***Columbus, OH *** who were subleased the job by [redacted] ***).It has had a new windshield that spontaneously broke last year under the weight of thesnow which cost me $and then had some issues so the windshield was replacedwith OEM for $in May (luckily they did not charge me any extra since therewere distortions in the other two they covered it under warranty)I now have amysterious rainforest effect in the vehicle ever since they replaced the windshield, butthey cannot find a leak from the windshieldWhen it went to Krieger Ford for the bodydamage, they had a guy come out to do a water test and found that the molding aroundthe passenger side door was allowing water to get into the vehicleI paid to have thisreplaced, since water leaks are excluded from the warranty for over $This has notsolved the issue; no one can find where the water is getting in, and how all four of mycircular vents have steam coming out of them when it sits outside after a heavy rain.Ever since June of I have been complaining of some issues with the 4th gear andsome unusual noises, they again had seen my car on numerous occasions for thisLastyear that problem truly started to increaseI kept advising [redacted] at both the [redacted] ***location and [redacted] location that I was having repeat issues.I was hearing this rattling, shifter was popping out of gear while driving, and having ahard time getting into gear as wellI also advised that I was replacing tires more thenusual due to having the tires going flatThey kept dismissing me and stating that what Iwas hearing was normal, and that I needed an alignment and that is why the inside of mytires was wearing abnormally more then usual (which I have copies of the service recordthat mentions this).I took my vehicle to both locations to advise I was having issues with transmission, andthey said there were no issuesI guess I was just hearing things that sounded like metalrattling aroundI finally took it back to Farmers Drlocation since they were closer forme to have them work on my vehicle, since I work within walking distance to this shopItold them I thought I was having issues with my transmission, and they told me I was nothaving issues. It began to get worse, and I returned to the [redacted] *** locationThe shop manager, [redacted] , took me and my son on a drive on I-270East and drove my car so hard(over mph in 2nd and 3d gear) that when we got to the corner of Snouffer and FarmersDryou could literally smell burning rubberThey took it to a transmission place outsideof [redacted] , who stated there was nothing wrong with mytransmission it was clutch.Shortly after that my poor little Mustang was suffering severe issues since he drove myvehicleIt went from a simple rattling to my poor vehicle barely making it up a slightinclineThey would not crack the sealed transmission, so I ended up taking it to RushmanTransmission on [redacted] in Columbus, OH in May I did a lot of researchto find a place I could trust since I am not familiar with businesses in Columbus, OHThelocal dealerships and the Revdex.com helped me to choose them. They took the transmission apart and found the rear bearing was broken and the rattling Iwas hearing was from the bearings bouncing around in the transmission, and there wasmetal on the magnet at the bottom of the transmission He also found that the clutch hadbeen friedSo I had to wait for the warranty division ( [redacted] ) to come, verify the issue, and authorize the transmission to be fixedFinally the warranty came out, verified thetransmission issue and agreed to cover it $and I had to pay on top of that $300.00for my deductible. While waiting on the warranty company to come out I had to get a rental, since this wasour only vehicle and pay for it myselfThey eventually covered all but one day of therental (since the delay was on their end to get an adjustor out) which Enterprise ate thecost of My funds on my credit card were tied up for nearly a month while they weretrying to get the warranty division to cover the rentalThat put me into a large financialhardship.I ended up speaking with [redacted] of [redacted] and advising him ofthe issues I had and what his service manager didHe agreed to pay for the clutch andreimburse me on the deductible in fullIf [redacted] had done their job it would only costme $for the deductible for [redacted] to fix it, and the clutch may not have becomean issueTheir lack of apathy, and reckless driving of my vehicle sent me to go outside of [redacted] to have the issue I reported to them numerous times to be seriously looked at.I was NOT hearing things; my claim was verified when Rushman cracked thetransmission open to find the bearings all over the transmissionMy agreement with Mr.Frazell was to not have them touch my vehicle again for their gross negligence onaddressing the issues that were foundedHe agreed to pay for it with a release (as ifbribing me not to escalate their gross negligence and them causing an issue to beginwith).(I did have to use them again for a thermostat housing issues that they had to replace theupper and lower thermostat housing-I didn't have anyone else who would do the worksince I didn't know how to rectify the situation or what was causing the issue). After several tires and the issues being found on the inside of the tires-where they seem tobe wearing unevenly and where I seem to get the flats from-I took it to [redacted] on [redacted] ** Dublin, OH on 5/17/They said my alignment was hardly offat all, but paid to see if this (what [redacted] was claiming) was the source of the issueItwas not the issue and I still have to replace tiresThe issue is from the inside of the tireIdo not hit curbs, run up on curbs.this is not occurring on the outside of the tire but onthe inside of the tire that this where the abnonnal wear is occurringI spent around$to have an alignment which [redacted] said was not truly needed (and did not solvethe issue of the wearing on the inside of the wheels). The vehicle had been back to Rushman for the clutch popping out and unfortunately ontheir warranty issues they provide no paperwork, but they worked on it several times -againseveral times me without my vehicleSince this was not an item covered underwarranty, I could not afford a rentalThe rattling however, had seemed to be gone forabout a month and a half, and then the sound returnedAgain it went to back to Rushman, not sure what was done.In 5/I had to return to Rushman to have them fix the leaking transmissionTheyadvised me that the other part of the clutch, the clutch and slave master cylinders, werethe issue and why it kept popping out of gearSo they fixed the leaking transmission andreplaced the other part, again another costly repair not covered by the warranty divisionfor $Again I was without my MustangI then shortly heard a louder rattling noiseafter they worked on this, but it only happened in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears only and for ashort timeWhen we returned home from a funeral a bolt/nut was found on the ground. We took it back thinking that the noise was from loose boltsWe were advised it was badparts and again had my vehicle for a few days this time to fix the issues.Recently the vehicle began getting very loud, the rattling worseW e immediately parkedit and towed it homeWe thought this was still related to the clutch since it kept poppingout of gear, even before the transmission was replacedWe could not get the vehicle tostart once towedWe had mechanic friend take a look at it and they said it could be thestarter, he hit it with a hammer and it started but quickly stoppedI purchased a newstarter for around $It was not the issueWe called Rushman where they came outand towed the vehicleThey advised me that my timing was shot in my FordMustang and the engine needed to be replaced; my vehicle had just reached the 70,500markI am again now three weeks and no vehicleI do not know if they addressed any ofthe issues about what I thought was a clutch issue.I had it towed to [redacted] in Columbus, OH where they said thetiming is shot and a piston was thrown and quoted me a new motor for around $6000.00.The warranty division has come out again and they asked for all of my maintenancerecordsThey are going to put a used motor in (which according to the [redacted] willhave less miles on it then the one that is in there) which the dealership cannot warranty( [redacted] offers a month 12,mile warranty)The engine per law (from what Iread online) is suppose to come stamped with mileage and have accompanyingpaperwork to tell me the miles on the engine that would need to be replaced[redacted] will only cover $of the $tow, and I will need to pay my $300deductible, so there is another $The warranty company has decided to lower thedeductible to $So that saved me $50.00.This has been a nightmareI am not happy at all, and I do not think anyone would beTohave a transmission and a motor replaced in a vehicle in such good condition with verylow miles makes me suspicious of this vehicle and what else to expect. They state that the battery was no good-replaced that since still under warranty (waspurchased on 2/20/2013)They state the clutch slipping out is a transmission issue whichwill mark the 4th timeAlso the clutch pad is severely worn and has broken springsIsupplied them with the information from Rushman Transmission on what they replacedand they said that this part (which is nearly $when the engine was out with nolabor) should have definitely been replaced when the clutch was replaced with the clutchkitThe pan should definitely last more than a year and the pan much older than a year. The noise I have been complaining about, this rattling, is the broken spring.I have contacted Rushman to ask for all my service records to either be emailed or mailedto me, neither of which I have received to date. This has been a nothing short of a complete nighareI am not happy at all, and I do notthink anyone would beTo have a transmission and a motor replaced in a vehicle in suchgood condition with very low miles makes me suspicious of this vehicle and what else toexpect, and also several clutch issues.I visited Ford Motor Company websites, Facebook and called themThey will not assista lifelong patronage of their companyThey basically said we are sorry but your vehicleis out of warrantyI also visited a trusted website where car owners go to discuss issues, check on tech point bulletins,recallshttp://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Mustang/2006/ There are a lot of 2006Ford Mustang owners having issues like this with their vehicle.I contacted [redacted] Corporate headquarters and advised them of the issuesAlthough [redacted] is trying to help, her hands seemed to be tied as wellWhen I spoke with [redacted] at the Morse Rdlocation, he did not care (and it clearly cameacross in his voice); it was as if he was brushing me off and refusing to even try andassistHe says they cannot predict mechanical failures, I do agreeHowever, there issomething majorly wrong with a vehicle THEY SOLD METhere have been very highcostly repairs on a vehicle that is maintained in such excellent condition, not driven hard, and has such low mileageThis seems to be a lemon.I spoke with [redacted] l and h [redacted] They will do nothing moreto help; *** even went to tell me they covered the clutch out of good faithThatstatement is totally false; they covered it because their service manager drove my vehiclehard and fried the clutchAlthough they supplied the part to Rushman Transmission (who*** told me they now use as a vendor) they will not assist me in trying to get thisrectified.(The majority of the miles are because this was the only vehicle we had up until Octoberof last year, and my husband and son worked/work about an hour away from the homeone way, and we needed to see family in Toledo, OH area for they were having healthissues)However this vehicle is maintained in excellent condition, most people do notrealize it is a 2006)[redacted] ***I am totally disappointed in response I have received from Ford and especially from [redacted] There has to be some type of help for me on this vehicleI am completelydissatisfied with Rushman TransmissionThere is no reason that they should not havenoticed that the springs were broken the numerous times they worked on the clutch andalso on the transmission per Germain Ford.I hope that you can help me and get to a resolution that makes the best sense foreveryoneI will not accept that I am out of pocket all this money when there should besome recourse that can assist me with all the billsI will be also speaking with my creditcard company and filing disputes for the amounts I spent on my credit card, cannot domuch with what I paid in cash

December 15,2014To Whom It May Concern:My name is [redacted] and I am a loyal Ford consumer. A purchase of a 2006Ford Mustang (VIN # 1[redacted] fiom [redacted] Morse Road inColumbus, OH has been nothing short of a complete nightmare. All the papers followingare...

supporting documentation of all of this that follows below. This complaint starts with[redacted] and ends with Rushman Tmsmission.I purchased the used vehicle from them on January 13,2012. Due to identity theft I ampaying a very high percentage on the loan through [redacted] (24.99% on$16,969.40=$34,660.08). The vehicle is valued through Kelly Blue Book and NADA tobe around $6,742.00 (at time of purchase it was around $8,463.00). If I should pay it offtoday would be paying almost $20,000.00, almost 3.5xs the blue book value. If I were tomake all my payments it would be close to $35,000.00, almost 5xs the blue book value. Ialso purchased an extended warranty on the vehicle fbr 72 months or 150,000 miles for$2,099.00. I make monthly payments of $481.39, and they say the loan will be paid off in2018.I keep my vehicle very clean and in good condition. It is maintained on a regular basis. Itgets regular maintenance, tune-ups, etc.It has had some issues from the original purchase, some of which still remain. One bigsafety issue was the emergency brake did not function properly. They worked on it, it didnot solve the issue, and finally replaced the cable, and it still does not work properly andthe housing is still broken. Not to mention in March 2013 I was driving north with my family and had the cruisecontrol on, going at over 60mph the car shuts off in the middle of 23. It then caught itselfand began to drive normal-we were headed for my Great Aunt's funeral. We immediatelypulled to the shoulder and called [redacted], their service department was closed. We didspeak with two males who advised us it was okay to continue to drive and to call themwhen we get back to Columbus to have them look at the vehicle. Per the owner's manualthis is called ''Limp Mode".It has been completely repainted and a new seat and headliner from damages due to arepossession that should not have occurred (not to mention on both repossessions itemswere stolen out of my vehicle to a tune of over $900.00 on the first repossession; on thesecond time I learned to ask to get copies of papework so that nothing could be changedand also to document everything found to be an issue-including over $5141.12 in bodydamage on the inside and outside (some parts still need replaced) and missing items inthe vehicle again. (In November 2013 it went to Kreiger Ford 1800 Morse Rd. inColumbus, OH to fix the body damage and address the interior seat and headlinerdamages that was not like that before they towed the vehicle. They had my vehicle for-over a month to get almost everything fixed; luckily they provided me a loaner.) I had topay my $250.00 deductible and my insurance covered the rest. (I also filed a policereport on each issue-for the November 2012 report # is I2222385cpd. 1 and for May 2013report # is 130434936 [can supply if needed copy of the reports] both were filed against[redacted] located at [redacted]Columbus, OH [redacted] who were subleased the job by [redacted]).It has had a new windshield that spontaneously broke last year under the weight of thesnow which cost me $113.00 and then had some issues so the windshield was replacedwith OEM for $488.10 in May 2013 (luckily they did not charge me any extra since therewere distortions in the other two they covered it under warranty). I now have amysterious rainforest effect in the vehicle ever since they replaced the windshield, butthey cannot find a leak from the windshield. When it went to Krieger Ford for the bodydamage, they had a guy come out to do a water test and found that the molding aroundthe passenger side door was allowing water to get into the vehicle. I paid to have thisreplaced, since water leaks are excluded from the warranty for over $190.00. This has notsolved the issue; no one can find where the water is getting in, and how all four of mycircular vents have steam coming out of them when it sits outside after a heavy rain.Ever since June of 2012 I have been complaining of some issues with the 4th gear andsome unusual noises, they again had seen my car on numerous occasions for this. Lastyear that problem truly started to increase. I kept advising [redacted] at both the [redacted]location and [redacted] location that I was having repeat issues.I was hearing this rattling, shifter was popping out of gear while driving, and having ahard time getting into gear as well. I also advised that I was replacing tires more thenusual due to having the tires going flat. They kept dismissing me and stating that what Iwas hearing was normal, and that I needed an alignment and that is why the inside of mytires was wearing abnormally more then usual (which I have copies of the service recordthat mentions this).I took my vehicle to both locations to advise I was having issues with transmission, andthey said there were no issues. I guess I was just hearing things that sounded like metalrattling around. I finally took it back to Farmers Dr. location since they were closer forme to have them work on my vehicle, since I work within walking distance to this shop. Itold them I thought I was having issues with my transmission, and they told me I was nothaving issues. It began to get worse, and I returned to the [redacted] location. The shop manager,[redacted], took me and my son on a drive on I-270East and drove my car so hard(over 60 mph in 2nd and 3d gear) that when we got to the corner of Snouffer and FarmersDr. you could literally smell burning rubber. They took it to a transmission place outsideof [redacted], who stated there was nothing wrong with mytransmission it was clutch.Shortly after that my poor little Mustang was suffering severe issues since he drove myvehicle. It went from a simple rattling to my poor vehicle barely making it up a slightincline. They would not crack the sealed transmission, so I ended up taking it to RushmanTransmission on [redacted] in Columbus, OH in May 201 3. I did a lot of researchto find a place I could trust since I am not familiar with businesses in Columbus, OH. Thelocal dealerships and the Revdex.com helped me to choose them. They took the transmission apart and found the rear bearing was broken and the rattling Iwas hearing was from the bearings bouncing around in the transmission, and there wasmetal on the magnet at the bottom of the transmission.  He also found that the clutch hadbeen fried. So I had to wait for the warranty division ([redacted]) to come, verify the issue, and authorize the transmission to be fixed. Finally the warranty came out, verified thetransmission issue and agreed to cover it $984.74 and I had to pay on top of that $300.00for my deductible. While waiting on the warranty company to come out I had to get a rental, since this wasour only vehicle and pay for it myself. They eventually covered all but one day of therental (since the delay was on their end to get an adjustor out) which Enterprise ate thecost of My funds on my credit card were tied up for nearly a month while they weretrying to get the warranty division to cover the rental. That put me into a large financialhardship.I ended up speaking with [redacted] of [redacted] and advising him ofthe issues I had and what his service manager did. He agreed to pay for the clutch andreimburse me on the deductible in full. If [redacted] had done their job it would only costme $250.00 for the deductible for [redacted] to fix it, and the clutch may not have becomean issue. Their lack of apathy, and reckless driving of my vehicle sent me to go outside of[redacted] to have the issue I reported to them numerous times to be seriously looked at.I was NOT hearing things; my claim was verified when Rushman cracked thetransmission open to find the bearings all over the transmission. My agreement with Mr.Frazell was to not have them touch my vehicle again for their gross negligence onaddressing the issues that were founded. He agreed to pay for it with a release (as ifbribing me not to escalate their gross negligence and them causing an issue to beginwith).(I did have to use them again for a thermostat housing issues that they had to replace theupper and lower thermostat housing-I didn't have anyone else who would do the worksince I didn't know how to rectify the situation or what was causing the issue). After several tires and the issues being found on the inside of the tires-where they seem tobe wearing unevenly and where I seem to get the flats from-I took it to [redacted] on [redacted]
[redacted] Dublin, OH 43017 on 5/17/2014. They said my alignment was hardly offat all, but paid to see if this (what [redacted] was claiming) was the source of the issue. Itwas not the issue and I still have to replace tires. The issue is from the inside of the tire. Ido not hit curbs, run up on curbs.. .this is not occurring on the outside of the tire but onthe inside of the tire that this where the abnonnal wear is occurring. I spent around$57.46 to have an alignment which [redacted] said was not truly needed (and did not solvethe issue of the wearing on the inside of the wheels). The vehicle had been back to Rushman for the clutch popping out and unfortunately ontheir warranty issues they provide no paperwork, but they worked on it several times -againseveral times me without my vehicle. Since this was not an item covered underwarranty, I could not afford a rental. The rattling however, had seemed to be gone forabout a month and a half, and then the sound returned. Again it went to back to Rushman, not sure what was done.In 5/2014 I had to return to Rushman to have them fix the leaking transmission. Theyadvised me that the other part of the clutch, the clutch and slave master cylinders, werethe issue and why it kept popping out of gear. So they fixed the leaking transmission andreplaced the other part, again another costly repair not covered by the warranty divisionfor $510.89. Again I was without my Mustang. I then shortly heard a louder rattling noiseafter they worked on this, but it only happened in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears only and for ashort time. When we returned home from a funeral a bolt/nut was found on the ground. We took it back thinking that the noise was from loose bolts. We were advised it was badparts and again had my vehicle for a few days this time to fix the issues.Recently the vehicle began getting very loud, the rattling worse. W e immediately parkedit and towed it home. We thought this was still related to the clutch since it kept poppingout of gear, even before the transmission was replaced. We could not get the vehicle tostart once towed. We had mechanic friend take a look at it and they said it could be thestarter, he hit it with a hammer and it started but quickly stopped. I purchased a newstarter for around $135.86. It was not the issue. We called Rushman where they came outand towed the vehicle. They advised me that my timing was shot in my 2006 FordMustang and the engine needed to be replaced; my vehicle had just reached the 70,500mark. I am again now three weeks and no vehicle. I do not know if they addressed any ofthe issues about what I thought was a clutch issue.I had it towed to [redacted] in Columbus, OH where they said thetiming is shot and a piston was thrown and quoted me a new motor for around $6000.00.The warranty division has come out again and they asked for all of my maintenancerecords. They are going to put a used motor in (which according to the [redacted] willhave less miles on it then the one that is in there) which the dealership cannot warranty([redacted] offers a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty). The engine per law (from what Iread online) is suppose to come stamped with mileage and have accompanyingpaperwork to tell me the miles on the engine that would need to be replaced.[redacted] will only cover $100 of the $174 tow, and I will need to pay my $300deductible, so there is another $374.00. The warranty company has decided to lower thedeductible to $250.00. So that saved me $50.00.This has been a nightmare. I am not happy at all, and I do not think anyone would be. Tohave a transmission and a motor replaced in a vehicle in such good condition with verylow miles makes me suspicious of this vehicle and what else to expect. They state that the battery was no good-replaced that since still under warranty (waspurchased on 2/20/2013). They state the clutch slipping out is a transmission issue whichwill mark the 4th time. Also the clutch pad is severely worn and has broken springs. Isupplied them with the information from Rushman Transmission on what they replacedand they said that this part (which is nearly $1000 when the engine was out with nolabor) should have definitely been replaced when the clutch was replaced with the clutchkit. The pan should definitely last more than a year and the pan much older than a year. The noise I have been complaining about, this rattling, is the broken spring.I have contacted Rushman to ask for all my service records to either be emailed or mailedto me, neither of which I have received to date. This has been a nothing short of a complete nighare. I am not happy at all, and I do notthink anyone would be. To have a transmission and a motor replaced in a vehicle in suchgood condition with very low miles makes me suspicious of this vehicle and what else toexpect, and also several clutch issues.I visited Ford Motor Company websites, Facebook and called them. They will not assista lifelong patronage of their company. They basically said we are sorry but your vehicleis out of warranty. I also visited a trusted website where car owners go to discuss issues, check on tech point bulletins,recalls... http://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Mustang/2006/ There are a lot of 2006Ford Mustang owners having issues like this with their vehicle.I contacted [redacted] Corporate headquarters and advised them of the issues. Although[redacted] is trying to help, her hands seemed to be tied as well. When I spoke with [redacted]
[redacted] at the Morse Rd. location, he did not care (and it clearly cameacross in his voice); it was as if he was brushing me off and refusing to even try andassist. He says they cannot predict mechanical failures, I do agree. However, there issomething majorly wrong with a vehicle THEY SOLD ME. There have been very highcostly repairs on a vehicle that is maintained in such excellent condition, not driven hard, and has such low mileage. This seems to be a lemon.I spoke with [redacted]l and h[redacted] They will do nothing moreto help; [redacted] even went to tell me they covered the clutch out of good faith. Thatstatement is totally false; they covered it because their service manager drove my vehiclehard and fried the clutch. Although they supplied the part to Rushman Transmission (who[redacted] told me they now use as a vendor) they will not assist me in trying to get thisrectified.(The majority of the miles are because this was the only vehicle we had up until Octoberof last year, and my husband and son worked/work about an hour away from the homeone way, and we needed to see family in Toledo, OH area for they were having healthissues). However this vehicle is maintained in excellent condition, most people do notrealize it is a 2006).[redacted] [redacted]I am totally disappointed in response I have received from Ford and especially from[redacted]. There has to be some type of help for me on this vehicle. I am completelydissatisfied with Rushman Transmission. There is no reason that they should not havenoticed that the springs were broken the numerous times they worked on the clutch andalso on the transmission per Germain Ford.I hope that you can help me and get to a resolution that makes the best sense foreveryone. I will not accept that I am out of pocket all this money when there should besome recourse that can assist me with all the bills. I will be also speaking with my creditcard company and filing disputes for the amounts I spent on my credit card, cannot domuch with what I paid in cash.

We first talked to Mrs. [redacted] and worked with her in May 2013.  I am very sorry for her dis-satisfaction. We have always showed concern for her, her son, and her husband. Any (and I repeat ANY) time they had a questions about a noise or a concern of any kind, we listened and addressed it with THEM. We rode with THEM, showed THEM what we heard, confirmed when an issue had nothing to do with the transmission. We do not, as a general practice, write a new work order for checking noises (rattles, clunks, brake chirps.) Neither do we charge the customer, or impact them or their car in any way. For this reason, no work order was written for those services and the [redacted] never indicated that they were not happy on any of their visits. Mrs.  [redacted] states in the 3rd paragraph of her complaint, ' It has some issues from the original purchase some of which still remain'. I see that her emergency brake has had a problem from the beginning. I recall that Mrs. [redacted] ' s son brought her car back over to have us re-check the 'transmission' noise. We rode with him to confirm the noise and ONLY heard a brake noise on the left rear. The Emergency Brake system uses the rear brakes. The noise was heard in that area of the car and this was confirmed with her son. This noise was NOT a transmission issue, but a brake issue. The next time we heard from Mrs. [redacted], she indicated that her clutch was not working. She said that it was NOT SLIPPING. She indicated that she could not shift the car into gear, and made the assumption that the clutch or the transmission that was repaired must be the problem. We gladly checked her car out, only to find that the hydrolic system that operates the clutch had failed (NOTE - This is not the clutch, but a separate system that works the clutch itself). We explained what was actually going on what needed to be changed and did that repair in  June 2014. This was a year after the original transmission and clutch work was completed (copy of Repair order #2126). please note that the labor was discounted from $80 to $40 per flatrate hour and gave an additional $90 off for that repair. This was done as a good will gesture due to the story of the many problems she had up to this point. We heard from Mr. [redacted] in November. He indicated that 'The car is messed up' and 'She is upset'. We (Rushman) had the car towed in and indicated to the customers that they were having it towed at our reduced cost and that if there was an issue, we would pay for the tow, but if no issue was found we expected reimbursement for the tow.  The car had no power due to the battery being disconnected. In addition we found that the starter motor had been removed from the engine. We charged the battery, checked the starter, installed the starter and found that the engine had broken the timing chain. The broken timing gear could be seen inside of the valve cover. We showed Mr. [redacted] the situation and gave him a piece of the gear from the valve cover. Mr. [redacted] said that the car still had a warranty, but I told him that I believed that Ford warranty was 3/36 on the engine, unless I was mistaken. Even if it was covered, they would need oil change maintenance records. The issue not being the fault of Rushman, Mr. [redacted] indicated that he would settle up for the tow later. We recieved a call from [redacted] Ford checking on what I found with the car. Then [redacted] towing came and paid for the tow and indicated that the car was going to [redacted] Ford (RO #2[redacted]  11/12/2014). We were notified by email from Revdex.com that Mrs. [redacted] was  very dis-satisfied with us over a bad timing chain. She indicates herself that this is a a problem which this type of car and Ford should recall. We would have much preferred a call from her. I have called our parts supplier of the clutch that was replaced on 05/06/2013 (Part #NU31706). The will give us another complete clutch kit . But they need the damaged clutch (clutch disc, cover, and bearing) to examine for any warranty defect issue. The supplier also asked if I could tell if the clutch was abused. They will send the parts I n question to the factory for their analysis. We are not clear as to what Mrs. [redacted] believes that Rushman Automotive is responsible for. This is quite unfortunate that she was the victim of identity theft and is penalized unjustly with a high interest rate.  We cannot speak to what happened at [redacted]. we also cannot speak to any of the other issues with the car when she bought it, however, we worked with the Extended warranty (Insurance) Company to have the clutch paid for. Please note that the $300 deductible she paid toward this was paid back to her by [redacted] (See copy of the $300.00 check that was sent to you) Rushman I s not responsible for the motor blowing. or a part that has a manufacter's defect. While writing this response [redacted] received a c a l l from Mrs [redacted] 's credit card Company asking about a $300.00 charge back.  Steve explained t o Mrs.  [redacted]’s Card Holder that she had already recieved repayment from that deductable from [redacted].  [redacted] Faxed a copy o f the check in which [redacted] had Paid the [redacted]s. Again, as an act of goodwill , we have made arrangements for a new clutch kit with the return of the damaged parts for inspection. If she will only be satisfied with a refund of the $300 that she paid Rushman (for which she was already reimbursed by [redacted]) we would be willing to return that money to her again as long as there is a documented audit traill through the credit card company or through the Revdex.com and there is no further retribution on Rushman. Please inform us if either-one of these is the direction preferred. We belqeve that both optlons are more than generous.
