Rushton Tree Service provided an estimate on 8/14/2018, to Mr H ***, at *** for the amount of $1995.00. Mr. called Rushton Tree Service on 8/16/18 to approve Rushton to complete the work. On November 9th Rushton Tree Service went out to complete the work. After a few bills sent to Mr., He contacted Rushton Tree Service stating he was still getting bids after work had been completed, Mr *** let us know he would only be paying the lower bid he received from another company to Rushton Tree Service, at the point Rushton Tree Service agreed and cashed Mr ***s check for $1395.00. We later got a letter from his attorney just advising us that upon cashing the check we accepted that amount for full payment. We in fact did accept and sent Mr *** a letter apologizing for any miss understanding as well as acknowledging the receipt of payment for his bill, in that letter we also let him know his bill had been paid in full.
Mr *** does not owe Rushton Tree Service and we settled this a few months ago
Rushton quoted $550 for a job on July 13, 2017. When they showed up to do the job on August 30, 2017, they said they would not do the job for $550. It created a problem for us because we had another company scheduled to do some work that depended on Rushton completing the work they gave us a quote on.
