On July XX XXXX I experienced having the neutral wire on THEIR power pole break. It was not due to bad weather because it midday on a bright sunny day. The result of the breakage of the wire is over $1000 dollars worth of home appliances. Ranging from stove and refrigerator to gaming systems and flat screen TV. filed acclaim with oncor on July XX XXXX and received a response today. I was never personally contacted...just the letter. In a nutshell it states I was supposed to have surge preventers on EVERYTHING. I did have it on the computer and it saved it.. but had it on the TV and gaming system and didn't help. Not sure they make a surge preventer that I can plug in the stove. If I didn't have to spend $1000 replacing everything maybe I could afford a whole house surge preventer....never needed one before. thanks oncor
