Review: I was at Russian Vodka Room for a large group event with NYU Stern Business School. Around 7PM on August [redacted] I asked for my personal bill. It said $17. I paid with my credit card and gave the waitress a tip. As soon as I was about to leave, 2 waitresses and the manager came up to me demanding for more money and claiming I had more drinks than what I paid for. It was unacceptable to me WHY I had to pay more than what the bill said especially it was them who gave me the bill! I argued with them, and the manager was basically blocking me and saying "what are you going to do?" My friend decided to pay, because he did not want there to be any trouble by "[redacted]." I have been a New Yorker for 20 years, I am NOT ok with this type behavior. Afterwards, we finally left after my friend made another payment of about $20. Rest of the people from our event also complained about similar incidents as they exited the venue.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the additional money we paid as well as an apology for such rude behaviors

Response:
At the Russian Vodka Room, we approach issues of mistaken billing and fraud with all the seriousness this issue demands. It is for this reason that we have a record of excellent service, find your issue unusual, and have taken initiative in investigating the matter.
We expect the best of our management and staff, and enforce this through implementation of a computerized accounting system that tracks all transactions whether cash or credit. We pulled up transaction receipts from the night in question, and found discrepancies in your name via Revdex.com and the credit cards used to pay, as well as in the amounts individuals paid that night and the sum you mentioned. We had all of our employees handling your party write detailed statements regarding purchases and payment that night, and found that one customer was serviced by two different waitresses, and consequently was presented with two distinct bills, which is perhaps inconvenient, but understandable given the circumstance. If this is the issue you refer to, we assure you that you were not overcharged or double-charged. If this is not the issue, (i) if you paid by a credit card, we encourage you to register a complaint through your ?redit card company, per standard procedure for the resoluti on of such matters, (ii) if you paid cash, we ask that you provide copies of all of your receipts on the occasion, and upon verification we will discuss the matter.
Of course, large parties (we understand that the customer came with a group of 45 + ) may need to reconcile differences internally, especially when people arrive and leave at different times and there isn't a clear understanding of how the group pays. In this case, since payment were settled separately, we expect that the issue is simply one of your bill split into two.
As always, we value your business and assure you that we will provide maximum transparency and cooperation in the resolution of this complaint
