Review: I hired Rustic 101 to install a new front door. The old door was removed and the new door, resulted in them cutting the stucco to the house which was not needed and not done correctly. The fame of the door was installed crooked, in which the underlying reason for this was the new door is warped. They unsuccessful tried to fix the frame and cut the face plate, piecing it together when it is suppose to be one solid piece. They tried several times to fix this unsuccessful and as a result caused other damage, spitting the wood on the frame so they finally gave me money back which I used to hire a contractor to fix this. In the end, it cost me an additional $300 more. The door which is less than 4 months old is splitting, it's warped, the wood used was treated for outside use and the stain which should have been oil base for outside is water based. This door which now has to be completely replaced. Later found out the door was made in Mexico.

The matching lock they put on my gate which was supposed to be a deadbolt with key on both sides. They put in a deadbolt that had a key on the outside but a [redacted] on the side. As this is a gate that anyone can reach their hand through there is no security as I requested. They were also suppose to key the front door & the gate to my house but instead now I have separate keys which they charged me $75.00 for a locksmith.Desired Settlement: Refund of the entire amount as I have to hire someone to put in a new door.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The rejection is not because I do not agree with the

response that Rustic 101 made to the Revdex.com but because they

are not following up & honoring that response which they made to the Revdex.com. [redacted] promised almost two weeks ago to come & take measurements within two days to replace the door but did not, I finally received an email yesterday in which they wanted to come this Saturday & I gave them other dates as I will not be here on Saturday & they have not replied. They also stated in their email "we will be there to review entry door warranty, and take measurements in case of replacement" which is contrary to the response provided to the Revdex.com and to me in which they stated the door would be replaced as [redacted] has already looked at the issues. [redacted] have already reviewed the warranty and stated it is clearly under warranty for one (1) year. Now his email is stating just the opposite. The door is not fixable and not replace it is completely unacceptable. Proper material was not used as the wood isn’t treated for outside

use which is important as it is an outside door. The wood is splitting in several places both

on the overlay and the door itself which I have already been told by a

contractor who specializes in wood that it is not fixable and the door is

warped so they used wood that had water damage.
