Review: In fall 2015, I was researching graduate programs and visited Rutgers University's Department of History. I determined they did not have the kind of program I was looking for, and moved on. I never, ever provided them with any information about me, nor did I solicit any contact from them or consent to the collection of any of my personal information.

Since this time, I have received ongoing email solicitations from various departments at Rutgers University in my Gmail inbox. I have written repeatedly to them, asking them to stop, as their "unsubscribe" function does not work. One time, they wrote back to me saying that they would take me off their lists. But the emails just keep coming. They have stolen my data, and have disrespected my privacy requests. They should be publicly shamed for these practices.Desired Settlement: I want them to issue me a formal apology, explain what steps they will take to stop stealing people's information, and also cease spamming me. If they do not, I will elevate this with New Jersey state officials.
