From: Shawn C [redacted] < [redacted] @ [redacted] .com>Date: Fri, Jun 19, at 5:PMSubject: [redacted] ResidenceTo: " [redacted] @myRevdex.com.org" < [redacted] @myRevdex.com.org>***,Thank you for the letter I would like to respond to the allegations of violation of the contractOn October 28th we were called out to [redacted] *’s residence for a water service estimate We showed up on time, and willing to help I walked the jobsite with [redacted] and explained the chain of events to him We were going to attempt to “pull” his new water service pipe through his existing one This method is not 100% effective all of the time, depending on hidden conditions This method is the most cost efficient way to install a new water service, and the least intrusive to the front yard [redacted] seemed very concerned about the cost of the project, and asked for ways that we could save him money I went back to the office, and put together a proposal for him that dayThe next day I received an email accepting the proposal, and asking when we can start the project.On October 29th we arrived on-site with our labor and equipment We proceeded to dig a hole around his valve box in the front yard, and around the pipe on the inside of the houseWe then cut his line and attempted to pull his new water line with no success We made two additional holes in the basement slab attempting to free the existing water line but had no luck.It was then the decision was made to excavate the entire water line from the city connection to the house This trench was extensive and large We completed the installation of the new water line and collected a inspection from [redacted] the next morning At that time we backfilled the holes in the basement, and patched the concrete We also backfilled the ditch outside I informed [redacted] in the beginning that if we excavated his water line he would most likely need professional landscaping to get hi yard back to the pristine condition it was in I informed [redacted] that we would do everything in our power to make his yard look as good as we could, but that we are plumbers that specialize in plumbing, and not landscaping Once the job was complete I received several emails stating that we had left dust in his basement, and that we didn’t mop up after ourselves The concrete patch was never talked about, or ever brought up I sent technicians back to [redacted] *’s residence twice trying to appease his numerous requests Eventually [redacted] seemed satisfied with the work performed, and he paid his bill in full.In April I heard from [redacted] once again letting me know that his yard was not as it was before we excavated the water service He wanted us to come back out and rake out the bumpy spots I reminded him of the exclusions in the proposal, and reminded him that we were not landscapers, and he requested we keep costs down I would not have been able to include the landscaping in my original bid and be awarded the job The cost would have been too much I offered to have my landscaper come by and give him a price for yard repairs [redacted] refused and was once again angry with the outcome He threatened to report us if we did not pay for his additional landscaping, which I refused We do not appreciate being threatened, or having our Revdex.com status altered We are a family owned and operated business who cares about our customers, and employees I have attached all correspondents between [redacted] and myself to help with this claimWe take this matter very seriously, and do not want one angry customer to affect our reputation as a good company in this area Respectfully, Shawn C***Director of Plumbing ServicesRVC***’s Plumbing & Heating14650-C Rothgeb DriveRockville, MD 20850Office: ###-###-####Direct: ###-###-####Mobile: ###-###-####sc***@rvc***s.com
