RVA Party Crasherz Reviews (%countItem)

I worked with someone named *** with your company almost 4 months ago and booked an event today in *** for 3 *** characters. RVA Party Crasherz I guess was your subcontracted local group.
I was not made aware until 36 hours before the event that Abby was not going to be at the event as someone “forgot to ship her” according to Mrs. who is the owner of your local service. She and I spoke again the night before at 8 PM and coordinated when she was coming to “set up” for face painting which she said was included and to bring the characters into a staging area. I called her this morning and confirmed she was coming at 10:15 to set up 15 minutes before the guests came for the face painting and getting the music equipment tested and in place. Then I was to provide a separate place for the folks to get “into costume” for their 11 AM debut.
I called at 10:20 and she was rude said she was busy that morning and running late. Said she was going to be there right at 10:30… showed up t 10:50 and wasn’t organized or prepared. We had all of our guests waiting around while she set up which took 20 minutes for face painting and then the characters didn’t get going until 11:25 – 25 minutes LATE!!!!
Her Hype man reeked of *** and the music wouldn’t work so it further upset my 2 year old which caused us to have to leave the party room. Then we only used them for 20 minutes before it became Pizza time which during the pizza getting passed out to the kids some of our guests went to the restroom and found the characters without their heads stuffing their faces with Pizza that was for MY GUESTS not this vendor…
I was so furious I asked them to go ahead and leave.. the owner got a serious attitude when I said I tried calling *** 3 times and that I was not giving them cash today that I would provide a check after a discount was applied. She said she would make a scene and it would take the police to remove her which I paid her to avoid further embarrassment with my guests

RVA Party Crasherz Response • Feb 07, 2020

RVA Party Crasherz was contacted on January 14th when we first learned of Mr. Party. Since then I worked as a liaison between the two of you. When the original ticket of service came through I noticed some discrepancies which I contact you both about. ***

Elmo, Abby & Cookie Monster210-15 kidsGood morning can someone please call me. I am looking for the *** characters, the face painter was just an add on. I need the quotes please so I can make a decision this week on the vendor I want to move forward with. I am looking for Elmo, Abbey, and Cookie Monster for my 2 year old birthday party. I am not looking for just the costumes but also for people that are experienced playing these characters for kids events to wear them. Shortly After receiving this request I later discovered that it was impossible to Abbey make it to *** in time. I called *** to confirm the updated. I noticed that the balance and the request did not match the balance that was due. As *** and I went back and forth through the details. I did call the client to confirm the details and assure him that even though Abbey was not going to be there we will still have a great time. I asked Mr. if he could confirm his request for face painting and he told me that he knew nothing about it. I explained to him that the face painting has not been included in his bill and that his balance was adjusted to reflect just the 2 mascots and he assured me that if I came early that he would compensate me for my time even though it was not in the contract. He stated that the process was confusing and that he only booked with the company because they really wanted Abbey. I told him I would reach out to you and confirm the details and ask you to call. When I finally spoke with *** they assured me that everything was ok and that the office has already reached out to Mr. with a Full Explanation of Abbey Cancellation. There was a little confusion because his emails were coming from *** and I thought he was Floyd, I noticed that the client had sent an email asking that his time was switched from his original time of 10:30am to 11:00 and I did my final call he asked if I could come around 10:10 or so. We spoke of the logistics of the party, music and more. I told him that they service that he paid for again only included Elmo and Cookie Monster
For Cartoon Character appearances ONLY: Please be sure to A) Pose for pictures B) Provide music C) Dance D) Participate in games. This is what the customer is expecting. Where the communication break down happened, as the facepainter I told him that I would try to get there earlier than my staff because he had surround sound and there was a room to hide the costume. I never told him that I would adjust the time of the mascot, however I only agreed to facepaint because I could tell how upset he was. I spoke with him exactly at 10:25 am exact and he asked for my ETA. He fussed a little saying that he wanted me to be there before his guest. I wasn't sure why but I told him I was 15 minutes away and would call him as soon as I pulled. I was never scheduled for his full party we are a surprise element. I told him that I was in route and that When we got there his Event Planner Did meet us outside and should us where to set up which only took 2 minutes. Once I was set up he asked me to not use his table out of fear that I would destroy it then sent me back to my car for my table. Once I switched the tables out he then asked me Well, where are the mascots. I told him that I generally facepaint first so that all of the kids could participate in the activity. He sent me back to my car again to force the mascot to work way earlier then what they were scheduled. Then once I went out side to get the mascot he sent his event planner out to get me and ask me Come Back Again and to go ahead and start face painting since I was set. She told me that they were going to let the guest start eating and to please just come back in because they were not ready for the mascot. Only thing was there was no surround system that had Mic capabilities, he was playing music off of his computer with a laptop, there was no room for my team at all to get fresh air like he told me. My staff did let me know that the guys were out side with no where to breathe or take a sip of water. When I came out they were eating a slice of pizza that was in a Box Left outside of the room on a table. They honestly did not know. They thought you guys were be considerate. My Host who traveled from *** was disrespected from the time he walk in the door. He was treated like a guy of the *** because of his color. He was walked up to him and told the Host and the Mascot that they were an hour late. The host asked him if he was sure because he was also cc' ed this confirmation of the event. He knew that the mascot were scheduled for His arrival time was scheduled for 11am by the request of the client. However He just kept the party going doing what the client asked of him. Host arrived 10:58 not 11:25pm The call was answered by his event planner exactly at 10:58, she quickly rushed him inside to start the event though I had only been face painting for 10 minutes. 11:11 was the exact start time of the mascot. It was necessarily based on these request of the clients it was impossible for me to Face paint and Host at the same time. The speaker was already set up so the 20 minutes he is speaking of really was on 2 minutes. He simply just needed to connect. There was already a playlist created so he didnt even need to find music. Not only that, this particular customer never intended on paying us even after asking his staff to have them stay for additional time. In this situation a break was required. *** we both know that he don't typically keep contractors in costume without air or water for long than 45 minutes to an hour. We have a 0 Passout Rate and we are proud of it. Our services were used way longer than 20 minutes. He ran in and out of the party despite his guest having an amazing time. This Customer had us looking for him and payment the whole party. It does state that the balance is due once we get there. Proof Photos will be provided below. It was until 1 hr of Facepaint and 65 minutes of mascot and after their 10 minute break. We were down to the last 5 minutes that was put aside for the birthday party that I asked about the Birthday Ceremony and his event planner told me that the birthday girl was too afraid and they wanted to do the ceremony without the mascots. She helped me track down the client who was walking around mingling with the party guest. He also confirmed that they wish to end the party and not sing Happy Birthday. Once he stated that I asked him, " Are you handling your balance today or did your event planner have it.' Once he hesitated, I asked him to step outside and talk to me without the guest around. He then went on to state that he refuses to pay me and that he will write *** a check. I then told him that I don't accept checks and that his balance was due. If he was upset because I didn't get there earlier to facepaint for free however the service for the mascots are due. He told me he tried to call you 3 times with no answer. I then specifically told him and I have witnesses and the conversation recorder. That we were not going to leave until he were paid and the payment due based on the contract was due once we stepped in the building. He told us he would call the cops and I told him we would wait at our cars for the cops and until you were reached. He then reached in his pocket and told us he will pay us however he was going to extort us for the balance back. I told him that was fine, and if he honestly was that upset about me not getting their earlier he had every right to turn us away at the door. For free. {I paid the balance owed today but I am demanding a full refund both of my deposit and from this vendor which should be paid by you. Your company was the company that I contracted through not the 3rd party that you subbed the work out to locally. I am exploring all options to receive a refund including legal action which would result in costs for you and your 3rd party In far greater excess than the $*** I should be provided not tot mention the punitive side for the ruined party and the food that was eaten without consent. }As he walked away he yelled, that he would tell everyone that we smoke week. I told my guys not to respond and just wanted to pick a fight. No one on my team smoke and we were completely offended by the gesture. The smell that the customer smelled on my host was Frankincense. Yes it is a but not the kind he is speaking. Our host Flew here all the way from *** and I am pretty sure that has left a stain on his experience here in the united states. I am writing my response, to clarify the slander and misunderstand. I am really hurt and disappointed because my team honestly did everything in our power to accommodate this customer and *** despite our own prior engagement. However we have never had a customer try to skip payment on us. At this time his request for a refund has been declined by RVA PARTY CRASHERZ. Since then we have received threats from this client and we do not take them lightly. Below is yesterday conversation after the event and it's not pretty. I'm not sure who *** is however here is the response.***, yesterday's disaster combined with the extorted payment you had me pay you without receipt and under the threat of further scene and embarrassment in front of our friends and guest was unacceptable.

I am not the person that you should have attempted to do this to nor would I have ever accepted your poor excuse of work yesterday as services rendered. It ruined the party.

I am giving you until noon tomorrow to return the entire payment in cash to the reception desk or I will seek every remedy possibly not only to be made whole financially but to exposure your illegal and fraudulent business dealings and stop you from doing this to anyone else.

This is not a threat this is a final opportunity for you to amend and avoid exposure. You have a lot to learn as a "CEO"***
In Closing, I would like to thank you *** for the opportunity, However we will no longer accept any assignments from you at this time. This letter also made me cringe when I saw how quickly clients will change your words to avoid paying for a service. I have no record of doing anything illegal or fraudulent and I never will. I am protected by my community because I am fair, honest, and I love these kids. All of the claims that he made was slander. I am lisense, I pay taxes, insured and accredited as an event planner and I have never in my life been treated like this.

Customer Response • Feb 08, 2020

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
the vendor did not arrive on time, they did not perform for the full amount of time contracted and violated their term agreements by taking off the character heads in front of the children helping themselves to food. We did not hire a Hype person to call our children Dope or come to the party clearly high and reeky of *** use. The characters were not clean. the picture attached shows that two characters arrived but does not constitute completing the terms of their agreement. If you are unable to resolve this my next step will be to file a small claims suit against the company which in *** a business is required to have an attorney represent them but since I contracted them as an individual I do not. this cost far exceeds doing the right thing here and refunding my forced payment and to issue an apology for providing terrible service and ruining the magic of *** for my daughter. I will also be seeking compensatory damages for the other aspects of this party since their actions ruined the overall experience for my guests. I would like to avoid this but will not be taken advantage nor do I want them to do this to anyone else.

Regards
