Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/03/24) */
We sold a pioneer travel trailer to [redacted] in [redacted] on January 23, 2014. [redacted] signed all documents showing she was buying the trailer as is. [redacted] gave us her [redacted] driver's license and informed us that was her primary...

residence. [redacted] informed us this was also her mailing address in [redacted] told us she is a [redacted] resident and wouldn't be registering in [redacted]. We let her know that she would have to do an out of state delivery to [redacted] since she wouldn't be registering in [redacted] and would be in [redacted] We charged $225 to do the out of state delivery to [redacted]. We met a notary there and completed all necessary out of state paperwork. [redacted] signed the out of state paperwork stating she was not going to be registering it in [redacted] and that she is not an [redacted] resident. When [redacted] returned to our dealership in [redacted] we performed a brake control so she could tow her trailer. [redacted] also asked us if we could help her with information for insurance on the trailer. We were able to get a quote for her thru a third party broker that our dealership gets estimates for customers at. We are not an insurance company and do not sell insurance for the RVS. We strictly just get estimates and if the customer has questions they talk directly with the insurance agent. [redacted] was given an estimate for insurance thru this company.

Our dealership is only a seasonal location in [redacted] and we left to return home to our corporate store in [redacted]. So, we do not monitor our lot in [redacted] from march-November or December. We were contacted by [redacted] in February asking about her insurance. I called the company that gave her the quote and they stated they could not reach [redacted] about her insurance policy last year. Therefor her insurance was not placed on the trailer. The insurance company did say they had talked to [redacted] in January-February of 2015 and gave her another estimate for insurance. I relayed this information to [redacted] and she said she was getting it taken care of. [redacted] then informed me that she tried to register the trailer in [redacted] within the last few weeks. I informed her that the title and paperwork she received from us by mail was to register the trailer in Canada like she had told us. I also advised her that she shouldn't have waited a year to register the trailer and that she only had a 90 day trip permit for non-residence. [redacted] asked if I could help her with registering the trailer for her. I informed her that if she tried to register the trailer in [redacted] that she would have to pay tax and license. She said that she didn't want to pay to register it in [redacted]. I told her that she could send the title and paperwork to me and I could try and see how we would help her on getting a title only and not registering it.

We received the title and paperwork back from [redacted] and attempted to get a title only for her. [redacted] has changed the rules on registering and no longer allows the title to be transferred without an [redacted] repo certificate. We had provided a [redacted] repo certificate with the title along with the notarized documents. All documents that were provided to [redacted] are sufficient to register and bring the trailer into Canada. We have sold many motorhomes and trailers and know what is needed to get into Canada with an rv. [redacted] informed us that she didn't want to pay to register this trailer anywhere. She even went as far as saying she talked to people in her park about the paperwork and was just not going to register it anywhere and do nothing with the title. I let her know what the state does send people out to check the parks to make sure peoples temporary permits haven't expired and that they are registered. She said that she might want me to just send her the title and paperwork back to her.

Documents that were signed by [redacted] stating it was an out of state delivery and not going to be registered in [redacted]:
1) 553 contract (no tax)
X) XXXX, 5010, 5012 all documents signed by [redacted] for an out of state delivery and stating that she would not be using the trailer in [redacted] for more than a short term period. [redacted] also signed that she is not a resident of [redacted] but of [redacted]
3) Temporary permit for a non-resident of [redacted]. This document clearly states that she has no intent to register in [redacted].
4) Due bill. This document says it's an out of state delivery and sold as is

We have spent a lot of time trying to help [redacted] regarding her trailer and registration. [redacted] is trying to avoid paying sales tax and license in any state including [redacted] She states she does not want to put any more money towards the trailer. We've let her know in any state that she tries to register it in she would need to pay the fees eventually to a state or into [redacted] We have not lied to [redacted] or tried to lead her in the wrong direction. We provided a clear title and all notarized legal documents for her trailer.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/03/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I apologize for my delay in response, it's taken me a few days to gather some facts.
My reason for the complaint is that I spent 10,000 dollars on a 2007 FLEETWOOD pioneer
SPIRT trailer, and was led to believe it was mine after they took my money.
I did not plan to register it in [redacted] I have reviewed every single paper I signed. It says
nowhere on anything I WAS GIVEN a copy of that it was to go to [redacted] in fact I own a class E
motorhome parked at the very address they sent papers to 6 months after purchase. If they
have documents that say it was to go to Canada then let's consider that the case for my next
point:
Today I spoke to [redacted] border security agency this is my second phone call with an import
agent specializing in MV import. I have been informed had I attempted to bring the trailer into
[redacted] it would have been rejected at the border as I did not have title. Here is a direct quote
from [redacted] clipped from their website on import requirements for my trailer: There is no waiting
period for a travel trailer, fifth wheel or other non-motorized vehicle. With title in hand, they can
be taken directly to the border. WHY WAS TITLE WORK SENT TO MY BC ADDRESS 6 months
later if it's their claim it was going to [redacted] Clear title is required in hand at the border, I'd
also like to point out [redacted] stored the trailer, why would he do this if it was to go to canada? Not
only does the [redacted] border require clear title for import, the [redacted] Border REQUIRES IT FOR
EXPORT. thirdly [redacted] only vehicle registration and insurer requires CLEAR
TITLE AND ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE AND AN INSPECTION. No vehicle can sit in [redacted]
and be insured registered or imported in its absence! By RV4less saying it was to go to [redacted]
and that they are aware of [redacted] rules and requirements then they are admitting they have
wronged me. Because, the title wasn't clear. On January XX XXXX they had me sign a "title and
registration application, with all other contacts, that had official DMV markings on it and said we
will get you insurance! That's all you need to do! And move in! An rv4less employee named
summer took my visa and paid insurance, they then gave me a key, I thought was for my trailer
only, [redacted] said I could park in their yard.
I found out in January of this year when I went to renew my insurance that there wasn't
insurance on it, there had been a mistake on the money amount and they called the number
given by summer, it was RVfor less's number, who told the insurance company they had no idea
where I was! I was in the designated place beside the big shop where they told me to park, for
free. Later in the spring [redacted] said why don't you park that inside my shop for the summer until
you come back next fall. I said ok thanks [redacted], and mike pulled it inside. I left believing Id had
insurance for several months and would have all summer, they led me to believe the DMV paper
I signed was all that needed to be done. why did they connect me with insurance and then
deviate insurance from contacting me? I would have found out right then about [redacted] law
because according to the [redacted] it has not changed any law. It still would not have gotten me to
canada.
As for me wishing not to pay taxes that is a very absurd piece of hearsay, taxes are part of life
and I cannot pay tax on a vehicle I do not have ownership of or ability to gain title to. That is a
character assassination, I also forgot to mention [redacted] gave me a [redacted] PASS [redacted] ALL [redacted] A locksmith informed me this is illegal, [redacted] knew it to
be a pass [redacted] and even went so far as to say "they all come with that, that's what they gave us
that's what we give you"
Today I spoke to the [redacted] in [redacted], no laws or rules have been changed since my purchase. It
is a blatant lie to say otherwise according to the [redacted] Why was I not informed this trailer was a
repossession? Why does Rv4less keep saying it was to go to Canada when it would have been
rejected at the border without clear title? Aside from this rv4less has made no suggestion at how
I gain title to a repossessed trailer they sold to me without informing me. I sincerely hope the

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/12/01) */
Good afternoon,
[redacted] contacted us late November of 2013 inquiring about our 1990 Southwind motorhome. [redacted] asked us if we would allow him to make payments on the motorhome of $1000 a month. We told him we would work with him but the rv...

would be sold as is. He agreed to do it and signed an agreement to do so. The only issue we were aware of that was wrong other than a lot of cosmetic issue was the carb needing to be replaced. [redacted] didn't care about the overall condition of the motorhome and was just happy that we were allowing him to do payments. We do not usually allow payments but agreed to do so with [redacted] completed the final balance in April and made arrangements to fly in and pickup the motorhome. Before flying out he had our service department replace the carb which was completed. [redacted] was aware that we would not be able to offer the PDI due to year model and it would be sold as is. He was more than happy with this. All paperwork was completed over and title was sent to [redacted] to register in his state.
On 8/26/2014 [redacted] flew in to pickup his motorhome. We did a walkthrough with the [redacted] showing the systems and how everything works. He was very grateful and thanked us for the motorhome. [redacted] purchased accessories for his rv such as chemicals and hoses. He was very satisfied and left with the rv.
If a PDI was done and we went thru all the systems we would stand by our work. Although its not a warranty and warranty companies do not offer warranties on this year model. This motorhome was sold as is with nothing promised.

Documentation signed showing sold as is
Due Bill and agreement for condition of sale.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2014/12/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes they did give me a walk thru and showed me how to operate things. My main concern is that I had them check the generator out and they said there was nothing wrong with it. I only traveled approximately 190 miles before the motorhome broke down in 110 degree weather and spent 7 hours on the side of the road. I tried starting the generator at that point and it would not run.
They had told us that they did check it out but they couldn't have because there wasn't enough fuel in the motorhome to even start the generator, it has to have over a quarter of a tank of gas to start.
I had called several times in the six months prior to pick up to make sure everything worked because we didn't want to be stranded on the side of the road with our kids with us and with the heart condition that I have. I had asked them to check the belts and hoses and anything that would be of importance that might need repairing. I even explained to them that I could have severe complications and even death from being stranded in heat like that. They told us the only thing that was wrong was the carburetor and I had that replaced by them.
If they had informed us of the issue with the generator we would have had it repaired before we picked it up and any other major problem there may have been. It also needed breaks, it wasn't even safe to have it on the road, now how simple is it to check brakes and they didn't even do that.
Yes I did know about the surface rust and that wasn't a major issue but "my life was".

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/10/13) */
We are not quite sure what Mr. [redacted] is referring to with all of this.
A breakdown was provided and all money were included that were owed.
We have a form that the customer signed off on agreeing the unit was returned in the same condition...

dated 9/05/14.
Also mentioned was the time frame the unit was in our possession which we had a deposit for another customer and the date till 09/05/2014. The rental customer cancelled within the time allowed to cancel and was charged $50 cancellation fee. Therefore the reservation was cancelled entirely. We were unsuccessful in renting it out again therefore customer was allowed to pick up his unit by 9/05
The canopy did take some time but it was due to scheduling and timeframe outside of our control. Non-the less the work was completed.
Due to the black tank (waste) he only made us aware of the issue today which is a month later after he picked up the unit. We sent it to him the way we usually do which is completely flushed.
Customer was assuming he would receive $15000 which would have probably been closer had we not had that cancellation. There is a check here waiting for him $817.80. Again the amount would be much closer to what he anticipated had the third reservation not cancelled.
To clarify the last rental date mentioned, had it not been cancelled it would have been towards the end of August and not the beginning of August as he mentioned.
Again all conditions of the unit were acknowledged with the walkthrough which he signed off on. The only issue was the awning which we addressed and took care of.
We do take rentals to Arizona during the January February & March season but the unit was not rented out during that time.
Please advise should you choose to pick up the check or should you wish to have it mailed.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2014/10/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I want to say they were told several times of the black tank issue. if they continue to say they hadn't heard of the issue prior to my complaint to you then they are all liars or they have the worst internal communication system as they don't talk to one another. Daniele was told the first week after we picked up our motor home when we were calling about the slide out cover. Daniele's response was "I don't deal with rentals I'll tell [redacted] about it". when the repairman installed the slide out cover he was told about the issue and his response was "I'll tell Daniele about that". I guess complaints fall on deaf ears until the Revdex.com gets involved. thank you for hearing me out. please have the final check sent to 203 S Chowchilla Blvd. stop # 5, Chowchilla, Ca. XXXXX
