From: [redacted] [mailto [redacted] Sent: Wednesday, September 30, 12:PMTo: [redacted] Subject: Re: Revdex.com complaint [redacted] By "discoloration," I do not mean that the color changed I mean that there are parts of the surface that are not covered as well as other parts This has nothing whatsoever to do with the paint or the manufacturer It has to do with how the paint was applied There was a 3-year guarantee on the labor, and that is not being honored. How are you looking at the photo? It needs to be magnified to see it well (in a browser or image viewer) If you are looking at it in a browser, scroll down to the photo, click on the +magnifier (zoom in), then it should be clear Even better, use an image viewer It is quite clear to see in person, especially in certain lighting.I am being very reasonable The whole rest of the house surface that MC Painting painted is OK It is only the front gable that looks bad The reason it looks bad is that a different method (of necessity) was used, and that the least experienced person on the 3- person paint crew painted that gable. It is bad business for MC Painting to tell a customer that they are wrong Better businesses listen to the customer until they see what they are talking about They are not listening. The MC Painting guarantee reads:"Year Guarantee with FollProgram - Guaranteed QualityOur guarantee is for three years, while the market standard is only two As part of the guarantee, we also have a two-tiered follprogram First, after your job is complete, our owner or quality control manager will stop by your home to inspect it and verify the work was done to our standards If you don't meet with them, they will leave a letter letting you know the work was done properly, or if a few more things need to be completed A year after your job is completed, we will follwith you to ensure that your job still looks great! We feel this shows the quality of workmanship we expect and that we care about keeping our customers satisfied"My comments:• the front gable was not painted in a quality manner; it does not show quality of workmanship• that part of the paint job does not look great• MC Painting is not keeping this customer satisfiedI would like this to get resolved as soon as possible Please let me know very soon what the next step is that I can takeA good business will immediately react and repaint that small part of the house [redacted]

The MC Painting warranty does not cover discoloration That is an issue for the manufacturer of the paint used at the home Furthermore, numerous people have viewed the pictures to no avail We request the Revdex.com to look at these pictures and make a determination of discoloration Even though our warranty does not cover this type of issue, as a matter of good faith, we would paint the gable if the Revdex.com finds discoloration If the Revdex.com does request this work to be completed then the client realizes the color may not match the rest of his house The client promises to hold MC Painting harmless and satisfactorily close the complaint The client must provide the material to perform this NON warranty warranty work If the Revdex.com does not find discoloration then we would request the matter satisfactorily closed

From: MC Painting, Inc[mailto:*** Sent: Tuesday, October 20, 2:PM*** *** *** ***Subject: Fw: You have a new message from the Revdex.com of Central Ohio complaint #***Can you give a little guidance on how I can respond to this complaint? My husband has been to this house twice, and I've had another crew out to look at it once too Everyone that works for me has looked at the pictures Nobody that's a professional painter sees what he sees I have emails from him that state it is visible at all times and that it is clear in every picture I attached to the complaint Now he is describing it in a different way than he always has and saying it can only be seen at different times of the day He's essentially telling us we aren't the professionals, and he is He didn't bring this issue up for an entire year after his house was completed I don't understand how after a year it became such an obvious issue We go back to every exterior job to look for any issues and make sure everything is up to our standards If there was such a glaring flaw in one area, we would have seen it If we were to re-paint this area, it wouldn't match the color to the rest of the house that was completed years ago Plus, I'm not sure if we did, whatever he sees isn't still going to be there! It's frustrating because we honor our warranty and many things outside our warranty all the time to keep our word as well as customers happy It's frustrating to have a review as a bad business and one that doesn't honor our warranty when we can't even tell what the customer is referring to Any advice you can give as to an appropriate response is appreciated.Sincerely, Lindsay C*** ***MC Painting, Inc.** ** *** *** *** ***

Thank you for the response My response may be summarized as:1) My complaint did not refer to the side of the house with peeling but to the front gable I fixed the west side problem myself.2) I did contact MC Painting in 2015.3) After MC Painting told me they did not see the problem, they agreed to redo the front gable They even asked me to make the leftover paint available for the painters to use for the repair!4) Finally, and most important, the reply does absolutely nothing to fix the paint problem on the front gable (unevenness in coloration).See attached photo.*** ***

We completed Mr. [redacted]'s house in July of 2013.  Our owner, Chris C**, does a quality assurance check after every exterior is completed.  He did his check on August 20, 2013.  At that time, he did not see any issue with uneven coloration that Mr. [redacted] has mentioned.  In July...

of 2014, Mr. [redacted] brought up this issue for the first time as well as an issue with a small area that was peeling.  Chris went back out to look at the house again last year.  He saw the issue with the small amount of peeling.  This issue was caused due to the cracks in the wood on the house.  While it's not something covered under our warranty, we did agree to touch it up for Mr. [redacted].  I let Mr. [redacted] know that we were unable to see what he was talking about on the front of his house.  If there was an issue with uneven color that was caused by us, Chris would have noticed it when he did his original check.  However, I suggested that Chris may not have been able to see it due to the time of day when he was there and asked that Mr. [redacted] send some pictures in different light.  I've attached some of the pictures Mr. [redacted] sent.  We still cannot see what he is referring to.  I had my crew that lives close to his house even stop to take a look last year as well as had my other crews look at the pictures.  Nobody can tell what he is referring to.  We cannot "fix" something where we don't see a problem. Mr. [redacted] has not contacted the office this year about this issue.  We thought it was closed when we let him know we did not see the uneven coloration.   Lindsay C[redacted]MC Painting, Inc.[redacted]###-###-#### phone###-###-#### cell###-###-#### fax

The MC Painting warranty does not cover discoloration.  That is an issue for the manufacturer of the paint used at the home.  Furthermore, numerous people have viewed the pictures to no avail.  We request the Revdex.com to look at these pictures and make a determination of discoloration.  Even though our warranty does not cover this type of issue, as a matter of good faith, we would paint the gable if the Revdex.com finds discoloration.  If the Revdex.com does request this work to be completed then the client realizes the color may not match the rest of his house.  The client promises to hold MC Painting harmless and satisfactorily close the complaint.  The client must provide the material to perform this NON warranty warranty work.  If the Revdex.com does not find discoloration then we would request the matter satisfactorily closed.
