Hi ***, I am writing you in regard to *** *** ID of ***. In their complaint they stated that they would not be able to pay anything outside of what the insurance would payWe did that even though they had a $deductibleAfter we started the tear off we did in fact
find another layer which the insurance company, the home owners and Ryan Construction Systems did not find Because of the additional layer we notified the insurance company of this and we notified *** that drip edge and felt would be her expenseDue to code felt and drip edge has to be installed and with the second layer we could not save itWe found this out and ***, President of Ryan Construction Systems, called *** and informed her. We did credit the 2nd layer tear off to them and after all the work we did they owed us an additional $I had talked to them several times and told them we would do a generous payment plan with them for $a monthThey absolutely refused to listen to any reasonable discussion I had with themThey were absolutely adamant that they were not going to pay the extra $We were not trying to unjustly enrich our companyAgain, this extra layer was missed by all parties involved! What could have easily been settled with a $a month payment or even less grew to $ To say that we didn’t respond to phone calls or emails is untrueWe were desperately trying to come to a solution before resorting to filing lien This is our official response to their complaint. I am rejecting this response because:This is a NEW complaintWhen we had a moderately heavy rain a couple of weeks ago I came home to find the roof leaking into my garage which your company was suppose fixI don't want your company to fix this again because you have proven to me that you do not do what you agree to do and then blame the customer when you make huge mistakesI want my money back for this repair so that I can find someone who is reliable and who has integrity to fix the leak that your company said they fixed and didn't

The felt and drop whew had already been covered in the insurance payment.  So by charging us for it after the fact they've now been paid for it twice. If felt and drip edge were already in the original paperwork there's no reason why we should have been charged for it again after the fact.

Hi [redacted],  I am writing you in regard to [redacted] ID of [redacted]. I received rejection complaint today from [redacted] and would like to address his response. We DID NOT get paid twice for felt and drip edge. The insurance paid for items once which is evident from the invoice. They had a $2500.00 deductible and we tried to help them.  We TRIED to save drip edge and felt but when 2nd layer was present there was no way to save it and it had to be replacedIt was replaced ONCE for ONE fee. Again, we offered a lenient payment plan but we were rebuked on every level. It is not to our advantage to file liens and we go to great lengths to avoid this mechanism. Thank you [redacted]Ryan Construction Systems

Again, another lie from "[redacted]".  He did not say to me that the construction on the addition was substandard.  The addition passed all of the requirements from the county and was approved.  I don't know what he's talking about.  If you want to call and come out and see the leaking area, please do.  Obviously there hasn't been rain lately, so I can only show you where it was leaking.  I do not want "[redacted]" to come out because he is not a very pleasant person and I feel that he has lied repeatedly about this whole situation.  Even if you were to agree to "fix" this problem, I do not want your company doing the work, I just want a refund on the amount I stated that was specific to the leak repair.  The reason I don't want your company doing the work should be obvious -- Tearing off my new addition roof and changing the color of my roof was a horrendous mistake.  I can't trust what your company might do if I allowed you to do anymore work on my house.  You can call to arrange to look at where the roof is leaking.  I still will only want a refund so I can have another company do the repair.

Hi [redacted], Thank you for your prompt reply to us. This is the email I sent to [redacted] Monday as SOON as I saw the complaint about the leak. This was honestly the FIRST I had seen of this and had I seen it December 30th I would have contacted her then. We would be more than willing to investigate situation. If we do in fact find something that we are negligible in we will rectify matter. However, [redacted] had said from the first time he met with her that the construction on the addition was substandard.
