Review: . On May 24,2013. I had a fire claim with Farmers Insurance, which is the Merin Agency,regarding my house. I've been with Famers Insurance since 1971 and have never missed a payment. On June 17, 2013 I received a letter from my insurance stating that my policy had been cancelled. I called my agent [redacted] who then "apologized" and said it was "some type of mistake that was made, and he reinstated my policy at that time. When I was reinstated I notice a lot of things changed on my declarations pg. I had been in policy 4, but after I was re-instated, I was no longer in that specific policy. My policy was also destroyed in the fire, so I needed a copy. But was told it couldn't be found, being that was a long time ago. It was then, that I was informed that I had never been in that policy and that I had been in new generations policy for the past 10 years Which I then was sent documentation stating that. They then went on to say that they had made a mistake, apologized for it and the numerous other errors that had been made also, which were quite a few. May 15,2014 I was told my adjuster [redacted] became a district manager in another city and gave all his clients to his brother Ryan Merin and his staff. Therefore, if I had any questions or concerns, to forward them directly to them. Now this new agent has no idea what's going on. One of my concerns is that all this year and last year I have been hearing nothing but what appears to be misleading information concerning my claim. The new agent, I have been assigned to and his staff, have been of no help. I am at the Marriott until my home is finished, I don't have much time. I did what little they told me to do at the beginning of my fire claims. I feel that I have been lied to. I see misrepresentation and what appears to be some sort of cover up. I am very upset. When I did my application in 1971 my Specs. page stated that I had piers and beams, now my policy says cement slab. My engineer has since then, confirmed that I have piers and beams.Desired Settlement: I am Frustrated and Disappointed, not to mention I have become very depressed, about how the Insurance Company is handling this matter. What I can see, is that there are several errors that have been made, on their part. I am asking if I can void any and all polices that have been changed or altered and that my premiums be reimbursed due to those mistakes. I feel that should be void. I also really need them to stop lying and telling me things that are misleading, in accurate and untrue.

I purchased a Farmers Insurance agency on 4/1/2014. This policy was one that was purchased from another agent effective 4/1/2014. I did not write the original policy and the claim happened in 2013 when the old agent handled this client. We did not write the policy and once a claim is filed the Famers Insurance adjusters handle the claim from start to finish, we as agents have no input or say on how a claim is settled.
