Review: Two Mitsubishi Hyper heat pumps purchased and installed on 12/**/15. The condensers were installed with brackets on the house. When owner turned on units, they caused a vibration to the house and one window. Owner would not admit a problem with the install, instead insisted the window was a problem. Spoke to Mitsubishi tech support and they advised me to have another installer from their website do a site survey. The survey revealed multiple install issues. Nothing is wrong with the window!

1) Condensers mounted directly above each other, top unit could drip on lower unit and cause it to freeze. 2) Screws holding bracket to condenser are loose. 3) ID head unit has only 1 inch clearance to ceiling and is restricting return air flow 4) Vibration will cause leak in refrigerant line. Site survey with pictures sent to Mitsubishi. Manufacturer will not warranty this improper install. This needs to be installed properly. Units can not be used as is.Desired Settlement: Based on my experience with RYCOR, this company's rating with the Revdex.com should be lowered or better yet they should be dropped as a member.

Tell us why here...My name is Scott A[redacted] I am the owner of Rycor HVAC. I was very conflicted on how to reply to this persons comments. Mainly because they’re so inaccurate. I hesitate to credit them with a response. However, in careful consideration, I felt that any potential viewers of Revdex.com did deserve to know exactly what occurred at this client’s home. In light of all of that I am going to be brief. Before I move into addressing these frivolous accusations, I would like to make a quick statement. My company has been in business for over 12 years. We install hundreds of these systems per year and have thousands of clients. With that being said we don’t have one single complaint with the exception of this insatiable person. Despite the wildly outrageous request this customer has had we returned no less than five times and in an effort to meet her unrealistic expectations. Condensing units by nature do vibrate. We mounted them right where the customer requested. The vibration noise in the window is caused by a defective spring in her window. Every time customer called, we went back and put more rubber vibration isolators under the unit. In order to notice a vibration at this point you would need to be in the silence of the night with your ear pressed against the wall. The loose Screws this customer speaks of are intentionally loose as to not compress the vibration isolators which would eliminate their effectiveness. Note the loose screws are there to accommodate the additional vibration isolators the customer requested. I would like to state that “here at Rycor we are 110% customer satisfaction driven”. We did not request a deposit from this customer. We requested that she pay in full when she was 100% satisfied. Which she did pay in full. That alone speaks volumes. While on site customer brought to our attention a non-related issue. A water pipe in the basement was touching an electrical wire. We went above and beyond our scope of work, and re piped her domestic water line free of charge, In conclusion I have arranged an appointment in the week of January [redacted] for myself, the customer, and a representative from the manufacturer to perform a site inspection. It is my full intention to make any alterations requested by the manufacturer to satisfy this customer. After having had that meeting on Friday January [redacted] we made alterations at the request of the customer and the manufacturer, Upon completion at the end of the day I asked the customer if she was now completely satisfied and she said “Yes”. I am happy to say we were able to bring this project to a happy ending.

As to the water pipe touching an electrical wire in basement, customer was unaware of problem until Rycor mentioned it. Customer has email from Rycor stating "water pipe is included in the proposal". So the statement "above and beyond their scope of work" is just one of many fabrications in their response. I certainly misjudged this company when initially I thought that they were honest people. On 1/**/16 with direction from the Mitsubishi rep, Rycor moved the second floor ID head unit down to approximately a 2" clearance providing a better return of air flow, they adjusted the drain downward so that water will now drain out, and they installed a fiberglass sheet between the condensers to prevent freeze-ups from top unit dripping on lower unit.
