Ryno Guard Surveillance

Review: [redacted] from Ryno Guard Surviellance is not an honest business. We contacted [redacted] on or about July ** to install an 8 camera security system. He came recommended by a family member as he installed a security system at their house. When [redacted] showed up for an estimate, he wrote us up a estimated bill and we agreed to it. Over the next 2 months we have had nothing but problems with him. He charged us 29.99 extra for 700 TVl cameras which came to 240.00 extra, we also paid for a 1 tb DVR for the system. When [redacted] showed up, I checked the cameras the next day and saw that they were actualy 600 TVL cameras by the model number and also that he installed a 500 gb DVR instead of a 1 tb DVR. When I called [redacted] he said that the cameras were actualy 700 TVL. I told him they were not. He also said that the DVR was 1 tb, but it was not. Over a few days of calling him, he said he would come look at it and do the right thing. I have numerous text messages and Emails with all or our conversations. He showed up a few weeks later to bring a 1TB dvr, but he now said that I should be happy wit the cameras because even though they were 600 TVL, they were better than the 700 TVL. I explained to him that I was not happy and that he should of explained that before he installed them. At that point I would not of paid extra for a 600 camera, but it should of been my choice not his. some of the equiptment he used was also used cameras. It has been over 2 months now and it is still not fixed to our satisfaction. [redacted] feels everything is fine because he installed 8 cameras that were 600 TVL, but the problem is, is that we paid extra for 700 TVL cameras. The DVR that he brought over was not new. It did not come with a mouse, software or a manual, he insisted that it is brand new. The first camera that he installed did not work, and when he took it down, the screws and nuts were rusted, that means it was a used camera. I still have that one to show for proof.Desired Settlement: I would like the $210.00 back from [redacted]. That would be the amount that was paid for the 7 cameras to be upgraded to the 700 lens from a 600 lens, we paid that extra money and we did not get a 700 lens camera we only got a 600 lens camera. I know he feels those cameras were better than a 700 lens, but that was not up to him to decide. If he would of explained that to us from the beginning, then it would of been our choice to pay extra for an upgrade but still get lower end cameras.

The customer was provided with cameras that were best suited for the home she was having them installed at. During the initial consultation I asked specifically which cameras the client would like to have installed, they told me personally "do whatever you think will work best" I gave them 650TVL cameras with more durable outdoor housings then the 700 TVL cameras I told them I was originally installing, since the 700TVLs that my supplier had in stock were not nearly as durable. Remembering back to when I was told to "do what I thought was best" I used these cameras for the installation. The quiality in picture between the two cameras is identical. The customer just had prior tension and needed an excuse to execute it quite simply.
