off, a prepayment of 2 weeks board is due. Every two weeks after, a payment is to be either sent or brought to us until the dog is picked up. She asked what type of pmnt we accept & I told her cash or check, NO plastic. She agreed to the terms & made a reservation for 7/1-25. I explained this is not 30 days but, we would honor the LTB conditions & disc rate. At the close of the business day on 7/1, she had not shown up so I called her. She stated 'no, I will be there tomorrow'. We operate on an 'apt only basis'. Our last apt that day was at 1:00pm, so we waited here all afternoon for her to arrive, only to find out she is not coming until the next day. She arrives mid afternoon the next day without any money/check for the 2 wk REQUIRED prepayment. She said 'all I have is [redacted] I reminded her SHE WAS INFORMED DO NOT TAKE [redacted] She said her son hadn't put enough of the food in the bag for her dog and said she'd be back as soon as we opened the next day with the food & payment. She didn't show up. She didn't call. I thought she got busy w/moving & forgot & would put a check in the mail, adding $ we could use to purchase the addtl food. After over 3.5 wks, she was supposed to pick her up that Sat, 7/25, but when I looked at the run card that was filled out with information given at drop off, I saw that our now ex-employee that filled it out in error listing the depart date as 'Thurs, 7/25 @ 3pm'. I realized that 7/25 was not a Thurs, but a Sat, & she did not drop her off on the date she gave for the reservation, I called her. This was Fri, 7/24 just after lunch. I got her vm. She called me back, stating 'she just got off the plane'. I told her we had not received any prepayment as you stated you would come the next day w/her food & our money, & since no money has been received for caring for this dog (now 23 days), that she did not comply with the terms of the LTB requirements as explained to her & she agreed to, the discounted rate is not applicable, that she is liable for the full price for her boarding, and reimbursing us for the money we spent to purchase her dog the addtl food she needed which totaled of $14.83, not incl our time & gas to get it. Also her bath/nails was $35. I had just finished & she would be ready for pick up in the morning 9-10am. She asked what time we were open to tonite, I told her 6pm. She then stated she WOULD BE BY TO PAY US WHAT SHE OWED. She THEN asked if we would keep her until 7/30 & because she said she 'DEFINITELY WOULD BE THERE W/OUR MONEY BEFORE WE CLOSE TODAY, I said we would. We operate on an 'apt only basis' & our last apt for the day was at 200, I was done for the day. I had a Vet apt at 3:45 & didn't want to miss her so I asked my mom to stay at the kennel until I got back. I arrived back at 4:30. She had not come, nor had she called. We had dinner plans with friends at 5:30, needing to leave by 5. We hoped she'd be here by then so we could still do dinner. No show, no call by 5 so we WERE FORCED TO CANCEL OUR PLANS. I told her we were open till 6, so we COULDNT leave before 6. Once again, OUR lives WERE FORCED TO REVOLVE around hers! She didn't show up & no call. I try to think when people do things like that it's unintentional. So I try to call her but no answer. I left a vm informing her that if she was coming Sat morning, we are only open 9-12. At approx. 10am Sat morning & still no word, I again called to remind her we closed at 12,& again, no answer. I tried the number she left us for her son. No answer there either, no vm set up. I'm FURIOUS! OVER AND OVER SHE HAS BLOWN US OFF, NOT ARRIVED ON THE DATE SHE SCHEDULED, NOT PAID US THE PREPAYMENT, NO MONEY SENT SUBSEQUENTLY, CALLS & SETS UP APT TO COME & WE HAVE TO CANCEL OUR PLANS ONLY FOR HER TO NOT SHOW UP OR EVEN CALL, & THE ONLY REASON I AGREED TO KEEP HER THE ADDTL DAYS WAS BECAUSE SHE SAID SHE WAS COMING THAT VERY DAY TO PAY US & I FIGURED I'D COLLECT THE FULL AMOUNT AT THAT TIME. Since she has REPEATEDLY not shown up when SHE SAID SHE WOULD BE HERE, & we have already provided the service that we agreed to for over 24 days with no payment of any kind, we decided we WOULD NOT CARE FOR HER DOG ONE MORE DAY! I again called her number and left her a vm that she needed to come TODAY to pick up her dog and pay her bill IN FULL, in CASH ONLY! My husband was supposed to go with me to town after the kennel closed at 12, but because we never heard from her, he had to stay at the kennel in case she'd show up. She had listed her address in Chatham so after the kennel closed & still no word, I went there to hopefully catch her. I found a woman who said she 'had moved into this duplex over 2 weeks ago & that I was another one of many that have knocked on her door looking for [redacted] trying to collect money'. She also said 'she must have left in a hurry as she left it in terrible condition, & the landlord had the whole 2 car drive piled high with stuff she left he had to remove & have a trash hauler take away. She also said she must not have any forwarding address as her mail continues to come daily & she has to write 'return to sender'& put back in the mail. By now, I am sure that this dog has been dumped on us as has happened once in the past with a long term board that never pd the bill on 2 dogs we kept for 3 months! Because he was handicapped, I continued to allow him time to pay, however, we never received a dime. knew this would be the same scenario. I called her again but no answer. I left her vm saying SHE NEEDED TO COME TO THE KENNEL BY 4PM TODAY W/CASH TO PAY HER BILL IN FULL & PICK UP HER DOG. No return call or text, again. So, I tried the son's number again, reached him, gave him the same message when he said he'd call his mom & tell her. She shows up about an hour or so later at the kennel, but AGAIN WITH NO MONEY, only a [redacted] card. My husband called me and had me talk to her on the phone. I suggested she go to the answer machine & bring cash back & we'd give her the dog. She said she had a checking acct but no debit card, but would go to the bank & be BACK AT 9AM MON WHEN WE OPEN W/OUR MONEY AND PICKUP THE DOG. We had her leave another contact number. (she left her dad's #) Mon, 7/27 she texts me at 10sm saying she got a new phone, had an apt at 1030 but would be out close to noon. I text ok. After 1:00, she texts she just got out of a meeting, needs to go to bank & will be out soon. I replied no problem. At 200 I text I need to leave at 2:45. I sent another at 2:40 asking if she's going to be here by 245? She text she stopped to get sons glasses don't think be here by 245 can she leave cash somewhere & come back later to get dog? I text I was done for day, just waiting for her,I NEED TO DEPOSIT THAT MONEY. SHE WAS TO BE HERE AT 9, THEN CLOSE TO 12, NOW NOT COMING AT ALMOST 3? I said my husband be here till 4 & she can still come BEFORE 4. She text 'I can totally accommodate your schedule'. I text we have HAD TO ADJUST OUR SCHEDULE TO MEET YOURS OVER & OVER BASED ON WHAT YOUVE SAID. I had a 3:15 apt that I called & postponed so I will wait till 4 for you. At 355, I text r u almost here? She text she has contacted Revdex.com & an atty, that dog is companion for autistic son, that I have bullied, harassed her 1 too many times. She will not come w/our $ or pickup dog till Thurs, wants bill adjusted to the LTB rate and will pay us in a money order or she will sue us! I said no, MO can bounce!
From the very first day, she has not showed up at any apts she has made, NOT COMPLIED W/THE TERMS OF OUR LTB SHE AGREED TO, NEVER CONTACTED US IN ANY WAY FOR OVER 24 DAYS, NEVER SUPPLIED THE FOOD SHE WAS TO SUPPLY, SHOWS UP W/NO MONEY OR CHECKS, ONLY CREDIT CARDS WHEN SHE HAD BEEN TOLD REPEATEDLY WE DONT ACCEPT, NOW SHE IS DEMANDING WE ADJUST HER BILL TO THE LTB RATE? NO, WE WILL NOT DO THAT! WE HAVE, SINCE DAY ONE, COMPLIED WITH OUR AGREEMENT TO LOVE & CARE FOR HER DOG EXACTLY AS WE SAID WE WOULD! WE HAVE SPENT OUR TIME & $ AND SHE HAS DONE NOTHING! WE WERE FORCED TO DO OUR PART AS WE CANNOT AND WOULD NOT MAKE THE DOG SUFFER BECAUSE OF HER! SHE HAS 'RAN THE SHOW' SINCE DAY ONE AND WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN! TO THIS VERY MINUTE, WE STILL HAVE THE DOG AND STILL HAVE NOT REC'D ANY COMPENSATION OF ANY KIND! IF WE NEED TO, WE WILL REFER THIS MATTER TO OUR ATTORNEY, HER BILL WILL BE $610 ON 7/30 WHEN SHE 'SAYS' SHE'S PICKING HER UP....WE WILL SEE....

I have paid for the balance owed and picked up my dog. This was NEVER about not paying what was owed. This woman, for some reason, seems to think that by providing me with a service is some sort of "favor" and that her schedule should not be affected by the fact that she is a business owner. She has taken this situation WAY TO PERSONALLY! Behaving in this manner is totally unacceptable and ILLEGAL!!! I did break appointments with her and not follow through onn statements made to her, however non of that behavior is against the law, HERS IS!! I have had my attorney collect an affidavit from the current tenant at my previous address and my father stating they contacted her, without my notification. She made SEVERAL calls and emails to my phone over the course of three days and I have the recordings and copies of those texts to confirm this illegal behavior. I do not want to take any type of legal action, however I DO want some assurance that she has been made VERY AWARE of the legal limitations, so that no one else is subject to this ridiculous behavior!!! This woman needs to understand that being a business owner does mean you are inconvenienced, it does mean you are providing a service NOT doing someone a favor and that BECAUSE you are being paid for what you are doing, you have to adhere to certain legal and professional behavior. I am not requiring any other course of action. I DO NOT want anyone else to have to deal with her irrational and illegal behavior!!!
