Review: I have hired SA Home Improvement Inc., to do a remodeling to my brother in laws townhouse. We have agreed by a contract dated on 11/14/2013 that the total cost will be $18032.20. I have given SA Home Improvement a check of $12,000.00 to start the work, then, the owner of SA Home Improvement and I have agreed verbally that they can paint also the whole house instead of what was described in the contract that the paint job will be just for the kitchen, Hallway, Stairwell, Living room, master bedroom and guest bedroom. The owner of the company has agreed to do the job without adding any cost to the original balance, since I didnt negotiate the original estimate invoice with him. On 12/09/2013 I have given SA Home Improvement a second check of $7000.00, even though the total cost of the work that we agreed on in written was $18032.20, but I have given them extra since we have agreed verbally that they would replace the toilet and the sink in the master bedroom and fix all the lighting in the house. Come to find out at the end that nothing of that was done, neither the painting in the areas that SA Home Improvement has agreed to complete without any cost. -The paint job was not completed; they were a lot of dents and marks in the paint which I emailed SA Home Improvement to fix. -Flooring: There are two holes in the wood steps in the upper floor.-Shower door is malfunctioning, it gets stuck when opening the door or closing it. Which SA Home improvement agreed to buy it and install it at no cost.-Carpet in both 2 bedrooms need to be cleaned up.-The edges of windows in the master bedroom need to be painted.I have talked to the general manager to send me the final invoice so I could pay it online, assuming that they have already fixed the missing work that needed to be completed and also the work that we have verbally agree to. When I received the final invoice I was shocked to see that SA Home Improvement to pay extra $2450.29 even though the work was not completed. They have charged me for the following items without a verbal agreement or in written contract:-$850 for painting. The original invoice stated $2950.00 for the total painting and the final invoice states the amount of $3800.00.-$1149.53 for tile.-$255 trip charges for (granite selection, faucet, and tile shop).-$120 delivery charge for tile.-$318 shower door.-$50 electrical covers.Desired Settlement: I need a refund of $292.24 and also for SA Home Improvement the do the followings:- Finish the painting in the ceiling, doors and the basement as it was agreed by the owner of SA Home Improvement. - Fix all paint marks on the hallway.- Fix the power outlet in the kitchen countertops and adjust the granite so the power outlet can be used in the kitchen.- Fix the shower door for the master bathroom.- Fix the two holes in the wood steps in the upper floor.
