Review: November 2011 I hired [redacted] (ownwer) of S & K Construction to repair foundational issues in my basement causing on going flooding. The company was to fix any leaks, remove all dirt fill from window easement, add in drainage in the easement & replace fill with gravel, inside install sump pump and install drain tile. Cost would be $4000 to be paid same week. The company brought in a backhoe to remove dirt fill in the process cracked several retaining wall boards all fill was left in back yard for me to dispose of. I do not know if any drainage was added to the easement or not since I was at work during the time. New electrical was run to the sump pump, drain tile was added & sump pump was installed. The company was called back to the house early 2013 to fix water leak coming in from the easement. On June 23rd the company was informed that the problem has not been corrected as over 50 gallons of water leaked into the basement- I spoke to [redacted] explained the issue & asked for him to come review the issue. On June 26th I left voicemail for [redacted] indicating I had not heard back from him & that more than 150 gallons of water had come into my basement during the week. On July 5th, I tried to contact [redacted] again (having not heard from him) only to find the number had been disconnected.Desired Settlement: I have heard from others that the quality of work done has been less than standard. [redacted] has been made aware of my issue on several occasions & that the work he did at my house did not correct the issue or provide me with the expected outcome. I have tried to contact him without resolve. The work done was either not done correctly or completely. I will have to hire a new company to correct issue since I am unable to reach [redacted].

The complaint of Kimberly Hall you received on 7/5/2013 with the id [redacted] about my work done for was resolved when I called here and discussed the matter. My phone number was disconnected because I no longer need a landline. Her basement has multiple cracks from the bottom to the top of the foundation I suspect that corner where the window is to be settling some yet and that is why one of the cracks I injected leaked some more. I went back and reinjecked this crack again for no charge. This foundation was never waterproofed and no drain tile was installed at time of Construction. This house has a large area well where the window is and was backfilled with dirt mostly clay, I had previously excavated the foundation in the area well, waterproofed the foundation and backfilled with washed stone and this remedy worked well until extremely heavy rains we've had this year. With the extmmely heavy rains we've had this year [redacted] confirmed to me in our conversation that the water built up so much in the area well that it past the level of the window and looked like a fish bowl. 1" this tells me that the waterproofing is doing its job and not letting the water in around the foundation or the cracks, it is building up on top of the foundation and running in. 2"' so much water has fallen that the ground can't absorb it any more and since this Is in an area well the water has no place to go. I discussed with [redacted] that this was a landscaping issue and one possible Remedy was a cover for area well and she agreed. When I first worked on this job, [redacted] told me that her brother is a landscaper And to leave the extra dirt on the Job and he would take care of it, to keep the cost down.
