S & S Road & Tow Service

I parked my truck at a Denn's in Kansas City and I was wrong for doing so and they had it towed by S&S road and tow along with many other cars. I was in the wrong and deserved that,but my truck I had bought the same day was damaged in the process. I was lied to and treated very poorly by the personell of S&S road and tow and this I did not deserve, you don't pull a truck in park with the emergency brake on onto a roll back without leaving skid marks nor do you unload said truck from roll back up against another vehicle because they won't roll...my bumper was marked on the bottom from the tow truck but they won't acknowledge at all. I bought this truck 2 hours before this and had looked it over upon delivery so know there was no damage before hand...beware of S&S road and tow service!

Review: This tow company is running a scam with [redacted]'s on Broadway. He told us there were 8 signs posted at [redacted]'s about being towed. The only one we saw (after our car was towed) said the fee was $100 a day. Our car was gone for 30 minutes and we were charged $230. That's outrageous. He also collected personal information that was unnecessary and lied to us, telling us the police required that information.Desired Settlement: I think he should only charge us $100 (that is what the sign said). I would like $130 refunded to us. I would also like (if possible) the copy of the bill (with my personal information) returned.

Review: On Sunday (11/16/14) I wrecked my car in the private drive of my apartment complex. I called a tow company to tow my car a mile back to my house. S and S Towing quoted me for 70 dollars for the tow. Upon seeing my complicated situation the price jumped to 418 dollars. They justified this claim by calling it an accident tow. I had no choice to pay because my car was at the bottom of a hill and could cause other accidents. For a one mile tow I was charged 400 dollars. I called the manager and she supported the charge saying it was fair.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund me my money up to the original quote of 70 dollars. A total of 348 was taken in this scam.

Review: Owner [redacted] sold me a car from his business that he said had a clean and clear title and it doesn't. There is lein against the car and cannot get the car titled in my name. He has told me over and over he will take care of it and hasn't. It has been over 3 months.Desired Settlement: Refund of $2200. What I paid him for the car.

Review: I was stuck on the side of the highway on 2/15/15 w my cousin Joyce and we called this company to give us a jump start, when they arrived they took my mother [redacted]'s credit card information charged her 88.00 for 5 galons of gas (they spilt over half of it when putting it in the tank) and soon as they got authorized by my mother to charge her card they put the jumper cables on for less than 30 seconds then the tech said he had other customers to worry about and bad weather coming in and he didnt have time to wait while I fixed my car, I had explained to the man that he didnt even connect the cables all tbe way and 30 secs wasnt enough time, I had to go thru this earlier in the day all I need is 5 min we just paid him 88.00 he just kept putting away his equipment and said tough and not his problem, when my cousin asked if we were still being charged bc he didnt provide the aervice we paid for he began to cuss at her at which time I told her calm down we'll just call the company after he leaves, he laughed and said im the owner so good luck with that and drove away wo giving us a jump start tbat we had paid for. When we called the company to ask if another tech could be sent and what happened the girl confirmed he was in fact the owner and the 3rd person to call in and complain. We sat on the road until mo dot came to clear the freeway as the snow storm had hit by then, my cousin missed her shift at work and was very sick the next 3 days from having been let on the road with no heat. This man shouldnt be allowed to continue to scam folks. He wouldnt help us till he got my moms credit card info then drove off without providing it, we had to pay mo dot 55.00 in addition to the 88.00 we already paid just to get off the road. When we told mo dot what happened the guy knew exactly who we were talking abt and said they didnt think he was the owner but that we were not the first people he had done this to.Desired Settlement: Would like at least a refund for the 88.00 that this man conned us out of as he spilt half the gas he brought and didnt provide the hump start at all, it would be nice if he paid the tow as well since we only had to have it towed bc he refused to jump us but a refund of the service not provided to my mother [redacted] credit card will suffice.
