I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.In addition:When I did see how our home looked after the sub wall was removed, the open space felt wonderful We were pleased with the drywalling that the business owner did on the wall and the baseboards looked greatIt was more the poor communication, attitude and decision making that affected the home without the prior knowledge or consent of myself by the business owner at times that was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I would never begrudge anyone time off to spend with their family, to deal with illness or being preoccupied with other work; but, it only takes a few seconds to send a text indicating a good time/date we can talk business and honoring thatIgnoring a customer/not contacting them by the agreed upon time is not the way to go. As for the ‘few touch up items’ that remained, I’m guessing it’s subjective on what constitutes as just a touch up A ceiling patch (sanding & applying texture), taking up the vinyl plank flooring and replacing boards that were damaged during the re-install, and installing new carpet in a whole bedroom, not just a closet, are the touch ups that had remained uncompleted. Moving forward, I accept the business owner’s response of agreeing to call it square as the project and money paid standsI thank him for the offer of the carpet for the closet but will pass on itThere is more to be done to the bedroom’s carpet than just fixing the piece missing from the closet and we will take care of that on our own.

I have received and reviewed the complaint filed. I want to start off by saying this is not the way I like for any dealings with homeowners to end up. You will see from my record with Revdex.com that I do not have any complaints regarding the quality of work I put out, or my work product in general. I...

think the homeowner failed to point out that this job was nearly complete, and that it was these few touch up items that remained. The amount of time it took me to complete the progress made in the job (probably about 90% complete) was very in line with the original timeline I’d provided her. We did run into the holiday season, and in years past, I have not spent much time with my family. This year, we were out of town and I didn’t work through the holidays like usually do. I will be the first one to admit what items we needed to repair still at the homeowners house. I don’t think she was 100% transparent on how some of these things occurred, and she failed to mention how pleased she was with the work performed up until she needed me to comeback back to correct the items we’d discussed. I understand that it is difficult when things done end on a good note, to recall back to conversations and messages where she expressed satisfaction and appreciation for giving her the open spaces her family desired. At the end of the day, I did not want things to end this way. I did run into scheduling conflicts, primarily with being able to arrange my schedule, along with my carpet installers schedule and give the homeowner the notice she requested. I did try on more than one occasion to just get in there to get the job done, but that did not suit the homeowner, as it was imperative she received notice. I have, and do apologize for the frustration this whole situation has caused her. I hope the homeowner takes all of this into consideration as well, and can understand that this is a one time incident and that I am very sorry she is unsatisfied. At this time I also believe it best we part ways. We an call it square with the amount left outstanding on the bid. I am also happy to provide her with the carpet I’d already purchase for the closet.  Thank You, [redacted]
