S & D Plumbing Reviews (1)
My Experience with S&D Plumbing
To whom it may concern,
This complaint is in reference to a recent issue I had with S&D Plumbing in Taylor Texas. On October 31st I called S&D because I had a leak in the tub in my Master Bathroom. The lady that answered the phone was nice and said she could have someone out that day between 2 and 6 or she could have someone come out on November 1 between 2 and 6. Because the 31st was Halloween I told her to have them come out on the 1st between 2 and 6. On Nove 1 about 5:15 I had to go get my daughter from her afterschool program. My wife and mother in law were home and said they never heard a knock or a door bell ring. I came home about 5:25 to find a business card on my door from S&D plumbing. I immediately called and spoke to [redacted] who said she would try and turn him around. I waited for 30 minutes and did not see anyone so I called again and [redacted] said he was on his way. The plumber finally shows up AFTER 6PM. He assesses the issue and goes to his truck to check for a part. He comes in and says he in deed had the part and starts the repair. My wife and I had somewhere to be so my mother in law stayed behind so he could finish up. My wife asked him if he would be able to finish and he said it will be finished before I leave. My wife and I left and came home to find that the part he had was actually not the right part. He stated to my mother in law that it was a 16th of an inch to short and he would have to order the part and would be back on Monday 11-4. I called on the morning of 11-4 at around 8:40 am to inquire when we should expect him to show up and the lady on the phone says he is not in today. I asked how we would get this fixed if he was not in and she said she would have talk to her project manager and she would get back with me shortly. I did not hear back from her so I called back at approximately noon and ask her for an update and if we will be charged for a second visit since the issue was not fixed on Friday. She said she would have to speak to her project manager. She put me on hold and came back and said yes we would. I told her that is not acceptable because they should have been able to fix it Friday when the first plumber came out. She said they were waiting on the part that had to be ordered. I asked her how much the part was. She put me on hold and then I am guessing the project manager came on and said the part was 90.00 and we would owe them a total of 387.43 for the 2 visits, the part and tax on the part. I told him I did not think it was fair that I should have to pay for them to come back out because they did not have the correct parts. He said they cannot carry all parts for all products on their trucks. That is not my problem. I should not have to pay twice for something because they cannot carry parts. I continue to discuss the issue and the PM begins to refuse my repair. He stated he had enough of my attitude and they had been in business a long time and wanted their customers to be happy. I told him I needed this fixed and he said maybe you should just call someone else since we cannot make you happy. I told him they already had the part so they need to come out and fix it and I would just have to pay their ridiculous rates. I still do not think it is fair to have to pay for 2 separate service visits @ 145.00 per visit. He said they wanted their customers to be happy. If that is the case he should have said Mr. Johnson you are correct. We did not fix the issue and we will not be charging for a second visit. This is how you keep customers happy. Not charging them 290.00 to have someone come out twice for a job to be completed.
