S. Goldstein & Son

Review: S. Goldstein and Son, was contracted to replace my home's siding on 12/15/2015. The owner [redacted] visited my home and negotiated the job and provided the contract for $2500. I made a $1500 deposit to get the job started. Today is 3/8/2016 and the job has not started nor money refunded. I, as well as my 68 year old father has pleaded with [redacted] to get the job done for two months. Only excuses such as weather, he had an emergency, or he cannot fit it in the schedule were provided. For the last month, we requested a refund and still have not received. He lies and keeps promising but not returning our $1500 dollars so that we can get another contractor. He is committing contractor fraud. I would like to get my hard earned money back or my next steps will be filing a fraud case at the court house in Jersey City, NJ attorney general's office fraud division, as well as provide negative reviews on all contractor review sites and social networking sites. He leaves me no choice.Desired Settlement: The business has the professional and ethical responsibility to promptly return my money seeing they have not completed the job after 3 months and as promised for the past month!
