Review: I brought my car in for a heater core replacement. We were told it would be an overnight repair. Instead it was there for several days. And when we got the car back, it had new issues it did not have beforehand such as a hissing engine, and headlight that was no longer working. After an argument that involved me being laughed at, they told me they would keep it overnight again. During that overnight, my car was broken into and damaged and property inside of it stolen, however that is not my complaint, that is just to put the entire situation into perspective.When we finally got the car back from the repair (after damages from it being broken into were being repaired), the car had more issues even that it didn't have beforehand. A strange smell was coming from my heater vents. And many electronics no longer work as they once did. My blinker will not turn off after turning anymore. My back defroster no longer functions. My dome light and mirror lights no longer function. And my windshield wipers slow-setting is faster than it was before.When I brought it to their attention, I was told I needed to pay for a new estimate. I said I will not be paying for a new estimate because this is stuff that happened while it was in your care. They told me they never touched the engine, so it couldn't be related. Even though the technician told me specifically when complaining about what a tough heater-core replacement job it was, that they had to take apart the top of the engine and the entire dash to get to the heater core. The worker threw up his hands and said they'd be happy to fix it with a new estimate.At this point, I got very upset to the point that I was ranting and raving because I had paid them $1200 (not cheap), gotten my car broken into and damaged while in their care, and still they don't want to fix their mess-up. This brought in the owner who told me my choices were to pay for a new estimate, or take it somewhere else. And if I didn't leave their property, that they were calling the cops.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay for the repairs required to get it back in the condition it was before SJ Denham damaged my vehicle. I do not want SJ Denham to do the job, as they have proven more than inadequate at the job to the point of further damaging my vehicle. I would like to get an estimate from another mechanic, and have them pay that bill.
