Please be advised that S&M Snow Plowing regrets that it was forced to cancel the contract with Ms*** *** for snow removal
at *** *** *** Church because it was not cost effectiveAs you may know, the City of Chicago was hit with a number of record breaking snow falls in December and January
Our first snow occassion took two men more than two hours with snow removal trucks, snow blowers and shovelsIt cost us more than $in time, labor and resources to do the jobIn blizzard conditions you have to return to do additional clean up after the initial visit
We wanted to help Ms*** and keep the cost affordable because the church could not afford to pay and she was paying for it out of her pocketPrior to receiving this complaint we returned Ms*** check to her for $We donated our services for that snow removal service in an attempt to make amends for not being able to honor the contractThe value of the service provided was in excess of $
We have also looked into finding someone else in the area that may be able to accommodate Ms*** but have not been successfulThe janitor at the church might consider doing the extra snow removal on the weekends if he was paid $per occassion

Even though the company returned my check, I am not satisfied with the company's response! I did state to *** *** that *** *** Church's finances were strained and that I, personally, would pay for the snow removalHowever, I did not put a limit on what I would playWhen I asked Mr*** what would be "cost effective," he avoided quoting a price but kept repeating that servicing *** was not "cost effective." I question that the value of servicing *** is in excess of $Also, Mr*** could not determine what I was willing to pay for the company's service because he never answered my questionTo just not shwithout warning me that he was reneging on the contract was an insult and put *** *** parishioners at risk because believing that his company was reliable, I had not arranged for back-upThere was time between New Year's Day when the company serviced the church and Sunday, when the company failed to show, for Mr*** to warn me that he would not continue to service ***
I did get a suburban company to give temporary serviceAlso, Mr***'s suggestion about ***'s janitor doing weekend snow removal at the rate of $is misplacedIf he was sincere, he could have returned my check before he sent the bill and made the suggestion at that time

I am in receipt of Mr*** ***'s apology for cancelling his company's contract to shovel snow at Corpus Christi Catholic ChurchEnclosed in the letter of apology was a "good-faith" check in the amount of $made out to "Corpus Christi Catholic Church." I, hereby, accept, without reservation, Mr***'s method of resolving the issue
