Review: We were contacted by SS Fundraising to participate in the [redacted] High School Fall Sports Poster. We were quoted a rate of $300 for a business card size ad. On April 1st 2013, we submitted art work in the form of a business card, and a copy of our brochure to the email address we were given to supply art work to. On April 1st 2013, we received a confirmation email back that our artwork had been received. We paid the $300 fee. On Sept 3rd, 2013 we received a copy of the completed sports poster but our business was not listed on the poster. Upon further examination we determined that SS Fundraising had listed our address, with a company name that was not ours and a phone number that was not ours.

Immediately, on Sept 3rd 2013 we places several calls to (888) 224-2124, the phone number for SS Fundraising listed on our invoice, but continued to received an automated messages that "all circuits were busy." We searched the Internet for SS Fundraising to look for an alternative phone number but the other number we could link to them had a recording that the number was disconnected. We also sent an email Sept 3rd 2013, to the only email we had on file, ([redacted]@ssfundraising.com). We continued trying the phone number throughout the day but continued to get the same recording (all circuits are busy.)

While searching the Internet we discoverd that there had been other complaints against SS Fundraising for situations simialr to ours. We are continuing to try and reach someone at SS Fundraising directly but based on the Revdex.com information available, we made a decision to also file this complaint in an effort to ensure SS Fundraising either cures the error with a re-printed Fall 2013 poster or refunds [redacted] their $300 fee.Desired Settlement: We would expect SS Fundraising to issue a refund check to [redacted] in full for the $300 payment we made since our company is not identified or represented on the poster.

Review: I received a solicitation call under the guise of fundraising for the local ([redacted]) school district sports' brochure for the fall. A student (or so described) asked for a $300 donation in exchange for printing my business card in the fall sports program. I was promised a copy of that program as soon as it was published. I have contacted this business via the email that was provided several times with no response.Desired Settlement: $300

Response:

A refund will be issued to resolve this issue. All

solicitation on be-half of the High Schools is up-front and in no way do any of

the sales representatives say they are students, or that they are at the school, we have a 3

step verification process, In the third step of the process, all contact

information is given for SS Fundraising, as well as the proper receipts and

documentation noting that we are a third party company affiliated with the High

School to produce publications and help raise funds for the athletic departments. Warmest Regards [redacted] (888)224-2124 www.ssfundraising.com

We at SS Fundraising take seriously our rating with the Revdex.com and strive for high levels of customer service. We have contacted Swing Shot Promotions directly and will be issuing a refund in full due to a misunderstanding on our part.

Review: On August 2, 2012 we paid SS Fundraising $900.00 on our company Visa Card for a 4x2 size ad to be placed on a sports poster at a local high school. We received no correspondence from the company regarding our artwork, receipt or tax forms. Finally on October 12, 2012 the company faxed the required forms to our office after several failed attempts to get them on the phone. We had left messages, but no calls were returned. Today, October 26, 2012 the sample poster arrived with artwork and logos stolen from our OLD company website for which they did not have permission to obtain. We did not approve the use of any artwork whatsoever, and did not sign a single piece of paper issued from this company. When my office manager requested a refund, she was told that "the owner of the company had just died, and all the funds are frozen." She was then told that we were to receive a refund in two and a half weeks. When she requested that this be faxed to us in writing, she was told that the lawyers don't do that and no one at the office can do that for us. This is simply unacceptable and I suspect illegal.Desired Settlement: At this time, we are making a formal complaint with the hope that the company in question be penalized for their horrendous business and customer service skills and further point out that this company had no permission to hijack our information and company logos from our old website. If you could inform us of any illegal actions towards us this company has done in the time we have been associated with them would be helpful. We intend to utilize the credit card company for help with a refund.

Review: SS Fundraising contacted us to do advertising for a local high school sports program. We paid $200 for the advertising. SS Fundraising said they would send us a copy of the program. We never received a copy so I called them on October 9, 2012 and spoke to [redacted] and she said she would send it right out to us. I still never received it so I called back on 10/29/12 and spoke to [redacted] and he said he would send it out that day. I never received it. I called back on 11/30/12 and spoke to [redacted] & [redacted] and they informed me that it was never printed because they did not have enough sponsors and they would send me a refund right away. No refund received so I called again on 12/17/12 and no one would answer so I left a message. No one has returned my call. I called [redacted] High School and spoke with them and SS Fundraising is using their name WITHOUT their permission. [redacted] High School is not working with them for a sports program. This is a complete scam and they are stealing money from local businesses and they are tarnishing our local High Schools name. This is unacceptable!!!! I want a refund!Desired Settlement: I want my $200 refund AND they need to refund the other local businesses that they scammed!!

Response:

We at SS Fundraising take seriously our commitment to customer satisfaction and our reputation within the business community. That is why we have already been in business for 3 years and achieved an A- rating with the Revdex.com based on our high volume of business and low number of complaints. Despite the response you got from [redacted] High, they were in fact under written contract with us to fundraise in the community and make their poster. We never engage in fundraising without a written contract from the school in question- that is an ironclad policy of ours. Usually it is the Athletic Director who signs our contract and often the front office staff and even principal are not aware of it. Our contracts can be cancelled at any time in writing by the school. This is an unusually consumer friendly posture to take and quite rare in most industries. In this case, the school did not cancel in writing and worse, let us know after we had begun to raise funds on their behalf within your community. This caused the confusion we are now in. Given our own costs of doing business, all of our sales are final. Normally, when we do not raise enough funds to warrant the production of an athletic program or poster for a school, we are one of the few companies in our field who actually send a return check to the school nonetheless as a gesture of good faith. Needless to say, we will not be doing that this particular time.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This response is ridiculous for several reasons. One-this company NEVER mentioned they might not actually print the program and nothing was ever said that they would not refund my money. Two-I paid $200 for advertising my business that I did not receive. Three- I spoke with the athletic director and they said this company never gave them a dime and that there were no contracts. And finally- every time I called this company, I got a different story and run around. The last time stating they would refund my money...well over a month ago. I never received a refund which again proves what a fraudulent company this is. I want a refund immediately or I will also report them to my crest card company for fraud.

Review: In April of 2012 I was contacted by S S Fundraising to make a donation to support our local school varsity athletes ([redacted] School) with Seasonal Sport Posters. As a business owner [redacted], Inc) an as a parent of a [redacted] High School Athlete I paid for a full year sponsorship for these poster depicting all three sport seasons and all sports from each season [fall, winter and spring]. On April 18th, 2012 I was charged $250.00. Some time in Sept I received posters, the only had Soccer on the and not any other sports. I thought this was odd since I was informed that it would have football on it also. The posters were nice and my daughter does play soccer, but I did call and asky why no other fall sports were included. I got the run around. In October I find out from our booster club and athletic department that there are not three (3) seasons being done, posters were only being done for girls varsity soccer. I then called S S Fundraising and spoke with [redacted], who informed me that they were working on the winter posters already and I should have them in a week or so. I never received them.I have made numerous calls (almost one every two weeks) since and still have yet to received posters or a refund. On January 9th I spoke with [redacted] who said she would get this resolved and call me back... I then called on the 18th of January and spoke with [redacted] who said she had my file and would be talking to the owners to get a refund out to me.I don't feel that they have, in any way, completed any portion of the agreement that they sold me. The fall poster didn't have all the Fall sports as sold, and there were no other posters generated. They have still been making phone calls to sell these non-existent posters to other business owners in the area and have still been collecting money for a product they know does not exit and will not exist. This is fraudulent and they are ripping off the small business and our student-athletes who may lose donors after this scam.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my $250.00 paid. The first promise (All fall winter sports) was not met and no other posters (right or wrong) were generated. I diligently paid the invoice on April 18, 2012 and have now been getting the run around and have still had to make many, many phone calls since. After over nine (9) months of phone calls and un-met promises I would like to receive a full refund, especially since nothing was completed as promised

Response:

We at SS Fundraising are committed to good and ethical businesses practices. We had the local high school under contract for a season and anticipated being retained for future seasons. In the case of this merchant, we sold product for beyond the contracted season. Since we are presently in negotiation with the school for a future contract, we have contacted the merchant directly and amicably agreed to run her ad in the future if we get a new contract with the school and otherwise to refund her payment.
