The claim in question was submitted appropriately , UHC the carrier parent indicated was primary coverage on date of service denied the claim indicating they could not process until subscriber contacted them with COB (coordination of benefits)
The other policy at the time *** had on file UHC was the primary payer for the child therefor they would not process the claim until UHC didOn 9/11/our office instructed Mr*** that we added the *** coverage however UHC needed to be contacted by the subscriber before they will process and we could send to ***This never happenedOur office also followed up with the parent on 10/11/We allowed additional time and placed two additional phone call's to Mr*** on 1/26/and 1/27/neither call was returnedSSM Health Medical group billed charges to carriers appropriately, I believe Mr***'s frustration should be with his insurance carriers not our officeThe account will not be removed from Bad Debt until the balance is resolved by the insurance carrier or responsible parent
